@@ErikaLodes I digress in saying… Can you believe after all these years I couldn’t keep plants because of pesky fungus gnats! But now that it’s been tested and true that doing two things together eliminates the problem #1- Do 2 watering cycles (even though results are almost immediate after one time, two waterings will ensure complete elimination) using “ONLY the liquid” from water soaked in Mosquito Bits to kill the eggs/larvae. I mix 4 TBSP of the bits per gallon of water for 30 mins because I’m impatient- lol. Do NOT put any of the bits in the soil. . . and #2- leave sticky traps around your plants to catch the remaining adult flying gnats. Now that I solved my issue, like you said I can grow my new jungle (finally) and get inspired by watching your videos! Your joy and enthusiasm is so palpable and visceral!!! Thank you for sharing your plant parenthood journey! ❤️ And girl, I rarely if ever leave a comment anywhere- just know I felt compelled by your videos to do so. Can’t wait to see your update on this new haul! Fingers crossed!

Fun shopping spree. Dumpster diving today I got some type of a Monstera and wasn't sure what to do with it & the moss pole it was on. I put the some roots in water & planted some in soil too with moss pole and put some cuttings in water to see if they'll root.

I loove hauls! It's getting into Orchid-shipping season, too! All the new stock is coming in because it's finally cool enough to ship them! They typically ship Orchids in the fall/spring where I live. I'm like an Orchid show "groupie", following them all around the place this summer! :)
I got imports from an orchid show in San Diego. I got the choco red and it was pretty floppy too. I followed Kaylee Ellen’s advise for importing rehab RUclips video. I left them in water for 48 hours and they all perked up and didn’t drop leaves😊
I am so glad you got that Elizabeth Ann Buckley orchid! Mine just started a bloom. That is one you must be patient with but when it does bloom it is just like wow that thing doesn't look real! Lovely haul! I am going to one of those orchid shows soon and I might have to wear a blind fold when I walk past ecuagenera (I'm not going to buy anything! I am not going to buy anything!) hehe

I also ordered two queen anthuriums from ecuagenera (just to be sure At least one survived). They thrive! I propagated way too fast but the cuttings survived and are putting out new leaves and the motherplant had begun on the new leave as well, within 2.5 months! Beautiful plant, very easy for me🤷🏼♀️
is that a HILO BEAUTY in the bottom right corner!?? if so, your leaves are so big!! I hope to get my leaves that big one day, its only a 6" Hilo so its gonna be a while. love ya girl, keep up the vids
Amazing plants, especially the huperzia! Love huperzia! Careful to keep the roots alive, they can take like 2 years to root when u propagate, and the roots grow from the tip then and never where you cut it. Good luck ❤
@@ErikaLodes it really is. But mine all do really well in normal room temperature and humidity, even over the cold German winter months where the air gets a bit dry from heating, so that's one really good thing
I just for a obliqua toooooo! I can’t believe it!!! I paid 55$ for a rooted leaf! I got it a week ago and I have it acclimating already for a new leaf! I’m so happy! And tomorrow i can’t believe I got a Thai constellation mature rooted Leaf for $100 and a majestic for $50!!!! Ahhh I’m so freaking happy 😊
I was also there, it was so much fun You should also try Tropicals-Plants, they were also at the zoo event. They may be a bit more expensive but the acclimation time is shorter. They will both be at the orchid show in October at the Huntington Library 😉
i love that el choco i love philodendrons too, orchis are the one plant i have trouble growing. just checked there site an most of them are more now an the oliqua is only 90
