did you guess what the special plant was?!
Yessssss immediately! 💚🤍
@@ecetevruz1426 ☺☺
straight away 💕
Variegated zygocactus?!
No but just want to share my experience with Crasipetiolatta splash (not sure of spelling). Avoid putting it too close to hot grow light or areas where it it too hot like 30 C and over. It does like decent light though. It seems to be growing slowly but at least growing after I put it in semihydro (from moss to perlite right now). I did not see it grow much in moss since I think it likes consistently moist medium. I just find it tricky to water hoyas in soil as they seem to like not being too wet and not too dry either. Awesome trade!
You and Nick are my two favorite planty RUclipsrs
I absolutely love my polyneura borget! I got mine a year ago as a 4 leaf cutting and have been able to take multiple cuttings of it and now have a beautiful full plant. I have seen the leaf variegation vary based on the amount of light It gets (more silver with more light etc.). I am so happy for you and hope this plant brings you a lot of joy ❤❤❤
Yay glad to see another video! It’s my birthday today fern I’m #23 🎉☺️
Omg happy birthday Jackie!! 🌿🥰
@@wildfern thanks 😊
Happy Birthday 🎉🎁 Hope you get something planty!
Happy Birthday! Me too, I’m 34 🤍🥳 I hope you have the best day 💚
@@natalieshigrov8550 awww thanks so much! And of course I am going to lol☺️😁
So satisfying getting our hands on the plants we really really want. Im like you as I like growing small plants o
grow. Watching them grow from these cuttings to beautiful plants is what gives me a thrill. Enjoyed this video thank you for sharing your joy with us!
Congrats on finally getting your V. Cactus 🌵 You certainly got some beauties in that trade.
Ahh so exited you finally have your variegated thanksgiving cactus Fern! Can you please do a video on what you traded for. As well as “common” houseplants you would own / own again if you had the space! Thanks ❤
Yes I was so curious about the other side of the trade!
manjula pothos was my first house plant and I absolutely love her. such a fast grower and the variegation is gorgeous
Girl! I LOVE that Variegated Holiday Cactus!!!! There was a large hanging basket one at this local nursery near me, but I missed it 😢😅
TRY TRAILING MANJULA!!!!! I’ve tried putting mine up moss poles, but GIRL, when you grow them trailing, they STILL be putting off BIG MAMA LEAVES! Gorgeous !!!
Thanks for sharing! Cheers!
not me bingewatching ur channel then seeing u posted 6 mins ago. hiiiiiiiii
yayyyy you were ready hahah! hi hi 🫶
the last group looks so good together. The lighter shades of the manjula really show off the dark tones of the orchid & vise-versa. Congrats on getting beauties you wanted
I love that Olive gave a standing O-vation for the verigated Thanksgiving cactus 🌵 🤣🤣🤣🤣💀
I thought i was the only one who noticed 🥺😂
Lovely trades 🌿😇🌱
I finally put a cutting of my Dubai on a board that goes to the ceiling and she’s starting to latch on .
I’ve had it for years and started with a one leaf 🍃 cutting about 3 years ago so I have a lot now just not matured yet! Can’t wait 😛🦄😇🌿 - Also a neon Pothos grabbing on wood fast . It was being ignored at the bottom of my tent for a few years, she sure is happy now .
I’m also growing some very large Golden Pothos my mom has growing up a tree in Florida, so cool to see it have fenestrations!
What a fantastic selection🍃I still don’t have any Hoya😱but some of those leaves are stunnnnnnnnning! Local garden centres don’t have them very often so I’ll have to go further afield or bite the bullet and place an online order. Thanks for sharing. Really love💚the excitement you have for your plants.
Love watching you gush over plants 💜 the cutest thing
So happy for you!! Gorgeous plants!! Well done!
Love all the new planty babies! 😍 Can't wait to see their journey growing under your care. 💗💗💗
Omg so many beautiful new plants! Love the cuttings in your cute mug 🥰
Oh my gosh such an amazing plant haul!!! So happy you finally got your Variegated Holiday Cactus. My Manjula Pothos is a slow grower and just make sure you don’t overwater it.
This is one of the things I enjoy so much ab you…you love such a variety of plants!
Love all those hoyas! So pretty! Can’t wait to see them grow out. Yes, plant people are the best 😊❤
That was a great haul, beautiful plants. My favorite is the Variegated Holiday Cactus. I never heard of it.
This haul! 😍😍 I’ve been so into Hoya, too. The poyneura broget is on my shopping list for the month, though I already missed the one I had earmarked to buy. So glad you finally got the variegated holiday cactus! I knew as soon as I saw who you were trading with and was psyched for you.
The Hoya Crassipetiolata Splash is near the top of my wishlist! I was so excited to see you have it now. I will have to enjoy watching yours grow until I find one 😅
I think I've got a few more to add to my wishlist seeing all these gorgeous plants 😍
I have all these hoya, they are my favorite! One thing I find with the poly broget is that during rooting the leaves get soft and look a bit unwell but if you just give it a bit more time it roots and goes back to normal. So don't panic if it happens!
Im DROOLING over this trade haul!! My hoya collection is my pride and joy. I FINALLY found Linearis in my city for a decent price and cant wait for my order to be ready
I’m loving your newbs girl 👻 I hope they all grow beautifully for you 💙🦋
I am drooling over your new plants! So fun.
They Polyneura I find is THIRSTy but super fast growing once they start!
I have the first Hoya you show and I love it so much because it sparkles in rainbow and grows super well/fast. 🥰
I had a feeling about the special plant! I remember you talking about it in a few of your older videos❤
This is one of the best hauls I've seen, wow!
I’m still not much of a Hoya person but I have been loving some of the newer silver varieties I’m seeing! I don’t feel like I have to e right growing conditions for Hoya (low light apartment and limited grow light availability) but I’d loooove to get my hands on one someday. An obovata is one of my top wishlist ones! I love the look of it.
Manjula pothos have always been wishy washy for me because sometimes I’m not crazy about the leaf shapes or variegation patterns on some individuals but you REAALLY lucked out with a gorgeous one, I can’t wait to see how well it grows with you! Congrats on such an awesome trade! And it is crazy that there aren’t more variegated holiday cactus out there, especially since the regular ones grow like weeds!
Loved the video! I have a Manjula Pothos for a single unroofed cutting. They are so beautiful but, in my experience, are one of the slowest growing pothos!
Those plants are all really pretty! I also love silvery leaved plants. I am more into pothos than anything else. I know they're common, but I love them and can't wait for them to get long - I let them vine down not up on a pole. I have a Manjula and I love it. The leaves look like someone painted them. I will look forward to seeing updates on all these new plants! 🪴🌱🌿
I'm anticipating a nepenthes haul as my last order of the season. Fall started a couple weeks ago so, warning.... winter is coming to the NWT! Have a fantastic day Fern!
The Variegated holiday cactus is also called madame butterfly holiday cactus and the flowers are so beautiful on them 🥰 I’ve got one two years ago. Congratulations on getting yours 🎉🙌🏼
Those plants are amazing!!! I'm sooooo happy that you got your v. holiday cactus!!! xxx
I love my manjula pothos. I got it from someone who was moving around christmas and it's taken off. I thought it was a slow grower, but I think it just takes time to acclimate to your care and space. I found that mine does better with slightly higher humidity and give it more light than you would a regular pothos because of it's high varigation. Can't wait to see what yours looks like as it grows!
This haul is 🔥🔥🔥! So excited for you when I saw that you got your wishlist variegated holiday cactus! I've been watching your channel for a long time so I should have been able to guess 😆 so jealous of the hoya cuttings!
Amazing haul! I just got a NGG as well 😍 my super silver also just gave me a surprise bloom (I’ve been so busy I didn’t even notice it). It’s SO pretty and smells just like lilacs 🤍
I watched you video last night, this morning after visiting my Dr went plant shopping and found the Hoyas with the silver leaves in the dark green specs on it I found two for $14.99 each
AustralianPlantGuy’s manjula has sized up nicely on a moss pole, they look stunning as they mature!
Stoooooop, as soon as I saw the little spike pop out on the thumbnail I knew exactly what it was 🤩🤩🤩🤩 she’s a beaut 🥹💓
The variegated holiday cactus!!! 🫶🏽 I feel like this is a victory for all of us 😂 I’m so excited for you, Fern!
Yay! Thank you, it truly is haha!
Lots of awesome hoyas! They're relatively easy to grow, so I hope you have good luck!
Yay!!!! Oh my gosh I can't believe you finally found one!! So cool!!
In german you can buy the Krohniana s.silver for 5eur in gardencenter, the NNGG by ebay for 20-30eur and Wilbur also. Cassi.Splash is 15-20eur for baby plant. Why its so different?
Caretipp: i have all of this in selfmixed pon, selfwatering, high light. First in my cabinet but in summertime i take them out and they loved it and grow double so fast.
The Polyneura Borget is so nice but not so easy for me :((
Hoyas are so beautiful and cute and so many different spec and hybrids. ❤
Nice video. I am so happy for you can't wait to see they grow under your care, Fern.
(sorry for my bad english)
I have the Khroniana super silver and I’ve finally figured out it’s care. Keep a very close eye on it being in water, the rot VERY easily. They love warmer temps and so not like to completely dry out. They tank very fast if they are not happy. Best advice I can give is if it looks off for any reason don’t delay in looking at the roots. I love mine so much and the extended heat wave we have had in CA has been tough on mine living outside.
Hi Fern,
Word of warning on the Hoya Krohniana mine did not like the bug treatment at all! I think the Neem oil is the culprit. It killed my big beautiful $5.99 Hoya Krohniana from Trader Joe's! So sad😢. I didn't even spray in on the leaves of my new Krohniana and it's not looking too good. You got some awesome plants in that trade! Congratulations!!!
Beverly
It’s my birthday weekend, so it was very nice and relaxing to see this awesome video filled with such awesome silvery plants!!! I love my khroniana super silver💚💚. That crassipetiolata splash is stunning!! (p.s. I 💚 your green polish!!)
Omg that crassiepetiolata splash 🥵💕 they are all so beautiful!!! What an amazing trade! Congrats!!!
Trades are just the best! This was just the best haul 😍
Also manjula are so easy! Just like regular pothos but they do need decent light to grow fast
yes i love variegation as well i also loved that first one u put up too love silver plants
You’ll love the splashy crassi! Mine is taking off in pon + a trellis
The krohniana super silver grows pretty quick for me. I love it so much I bought the regular and black one as well ❤
Love all the hoyas😍I give my wilbur graves high light and I love the pinkish tint it gives!
I am happy to have found your channel. Lots of fun, and I enjoy the commentary. Information about various hoyas is getting me interested. Next week I am taking daughters to an excellent greenhouse near Ottawa, ON (Robert Plante company), and got gift certificates for them. Thank you for sharing your plants! I would also like to know what kind of care you use. Excellent quality!
Nice haul! I've struggled with manjula pothos, having rotted it a couple of times (including when it shared a pot with 3 other kinds of pothos which did not rot). It doesn't seem to like getting too dry. All I've got now are cuttings that have been in water forever, and they might just stay there lol.
LOVED this haul! I listen to Let’s Talk Hoya too! And the other podcast he is in Potted Together! Do you have any other planty podcast recs? I’m obsessed with podcasts!!
So exciting to see you get all these wishlist bebes! Would love to know why you decided to do water prop (for now?) instead of automatically putting them into one of your perlite prop boxes? I’ve only ever propped my Hoya cuttings in water but I know how much you love your prop boxes!
hey fern! some super beautiful plants! been binge watching your videos reacently...some advice for the orchids- you may find they will rot trying to root them in straight up water. In my experience I have found they root really well in damp sphagnum moss. hope this helps!
I have 2 NGG's, my care tip is to never let it dry out for too long. I water the day the soil becomes bone dry. They're in lil plastic pots (like the one your cactus is in). Constantly putting out new growth. Good luck!
I’ve got two very large manjula pothos in hanging baskets and also one growing up a trellis they love more light that others and can be a bit slower growing but absolutely my favorites because I think they are just amazing
I saw some lil baby variegated holiday cacti for the very first time at a plant shop today! What a fun coincidence! 💚🪴
Careful majula pothos root rot super easy compared to other pothos. Landed a massive hanging pot from Walmart for 20 bucks. After a kinda aggressive repot lost 2/3 of the plant within a few days. Rerooting the saved long strands and wet sticked the rest. But was super surprised side I have 4 other pothos without issues. So keep that in mind with majula
Great haul, you will love the Nicholsoniae New Guinea Ghost, it's gorgeous 😍
I remember you saying In a video you've been wanting a variegated holiday cactus and I'm so glad you got one finally!!!!
I love my manjula pothos so much I own two of them! In my experience they grow pretty slow but I'm still trying to get the lighting situation figured out. I'm sure that has a lot to do with it! What fabulous surprises in this trade, so happy for you!
Thank you so much!
I'm from India, I own a Manjula pothos they're beautiful. imo they're a bit slow grower. But once it takes off you will see tons of growth.
I have a wilbur graves and it didn’t grow super fast until the end of summer it reallly took off. Super easy tho. I repotted it after having it in moss for months and months and it didn’t skip a beat. So many roots.
nice to see you so happy. take good care😉
I have all of the varieties of epipremnum aurem and the manjula cutting I have i had the hardest time with in the beginning! I found it is a very slow grower but when i put it in my north east window it finally started to do well and got established then i was able to move it back to the shelf in the same room with the rest of my pothos!
Finicky to start compared to greener varieties like the golden, jessenia and emerald but once its going its leaves are MASSIVE and by far the most beautiful of all my pothos!
My Manjula is currently holding my attention. I got a big basket from walmart in spring and took cuttings of them all summer long (grew it outside) I potted up a handful of cuttings with a moss pole back in June/July, just brought it in for winter and I can't staring at her! (This is where I wish we could post photos in comments!)
I just got a Super Silver 2 days ago in the mail... yours looks amazing!!!
18:29 That Majula Pothos is BEAUTIFUL! I have had mine for about 5 months and all I can say about it is that it is growing SO slowly. Compared to my Golden it seems to be in slow-mo. I want it to grow more leaves and bigger leaves just so I have more to look at. I think they are truly stunning. Anyone else think that these are slow growers???
I was going to say, I thought you didn't like Manjula. 😂 I love mine. Honestly just like regular pothos they're pretty easy. I mostly ignore mine but water every 1-2 wks (mine's in an 8" pot). I have it in a room with a south and east window but it's on the far wall and is still thriving. Each leaf seems to have its own unique variegation and the new growth on mine has a lot more white than the older leaves. As for the other plants, wow...I've been getting into Hoya lately and the Wilbur Graves in top of my list. I'd also never heard of the Crassipetiolata Splash but now that's a new one I have to add. ❤
Yeah I love your videos! I wish you where able to post everyday I love your videos so much! But don’t feel like your not doing enough you dedicate so much to us and so much of your like love you fern!
Awe thank you so much ☺️
The NGG is such a fast grower. I grow it in pon. Just beautiful
I'm so glad you have Manjula, already.. X
🤯🤯🤯Such beauties! So excited to watch their progress 🎉🎉🎉🎉💓💓💓💓.
The Krohniana Super Silver is SUPER prone to rot. I killed 2 until I put it in almost entirely coco chunks and it’s been growing and blooming like crazy. Just be really careful with the watering!
Omgggggg, your crassipetiolata splash! 😍🪴
Your nails are cute! I enjoy your videos.
My Manjula likes a little more light than my golden pothos. I suspect this is due to the variegation. And of course it grows a little slower than my golden. But otherwise, same care requirements! And yes, you have the terrestrial orchids labeled correctly! Great plant haul! How exciting! 😁
Excellent - thank you!! 🥰
yay! more Fern! 🤩
🎉
I didn't even know variagated xmas cacti were a thing. I have three huge green holiday cacti and they are the easiest plants ever, next to the ZZ. Now i have to hunt one down!
Fun video! That was some genuine excitement💚🎉💚🎊💚🎊
Thank you 🤗
Manjula pothos are highly prone to root rot so keep that in mind. Jelous of the jewel orchid for sure!
Ah good to know, thank you!
Nice plants, thanks! You seemed to have given up on perlite prop in favour of water. Iìm I missing a video where you explain something about it?
Very. Cute and unique ones ,enjoy them!
💚🌱☘️🌵
So excited to see that variegated Thanksgiving cactus grow!!!!
Me too!!
@wildfern, beautiful plants, can't tell which one is more beautiful, Y🖤U or the Hoyas!! and who is the Becca you talked about having a RUclips channel. ??? link?
I am sooooooo jealous for those jewel orchids !!!!!
Omggggg yass my favorite girlaaa i purchase a cutting few weeks ago of the silver
My last wishlist plant is a nice mandarin spider plant, I’m surprised they’re not more popular
Maybe putting it in a walley grow pot on the wall. I think if I remember you have a hook on the wall for one more.
Literally screaming this whole video. It's all the hoyas I want
Your nails look so nice. 😍
Oh wow, what a haul!! Congratulations 🎉 You should check out Kevin's (hakunalaplanta) Hoya video. It's one of my favorite videos on RUclips, lol. He has a few of your new Hoya as well as some that will definitely be on your wishlist! They sure are on mine. And you get to see them grow over time. He's so phenomenal and his excitement is contagious, lol. You'll love it. Updates would be great 😊 Enjoy your amazing new additions and thank you for sharing them with us!!
My manjula started rotting when i got it, idk what happened, i put it in the mix i make myself and all my other pothos are in… I saved it and just repotted for a take 2
I’ve never seen a variegated holiday cactus. It’s pretty
