Recalling a beautiful connection to my faith: what Jesus said about His executioners -as He was being crucified- "forgive them for they don't know what they are doing" 😯😍 ...echo to "I forgive you for not knowing , not understanding"
You are so right about that. Sometimes people do things and they don't understand that what they are doing is just not right. Later they realize they have done wrong but at the time they thought it was right - so we have to forgive them for not understanding...
Hi- Whatever statement helps you to bring up a feeling of forgiveness can be used. I forgive myself for all the wrongs I have done... for causing myself pain ...for causing others pain ... for things I can't remember I did... I forgive myself for every unwholesome action I have ever done... The statements are just to probe the mind and trigger things to arise that you need to forgive. You don't have to know what they are - that will come. Just radiate and sincerely forgive yourself and others.
Dear bhante, thank you for your response. I'm listening to your talks every day and find them extremely helpful. The biggest hindrance/problem which I have is, whenever I try the FM or loving kindness, IF a feeling arises then it's gone way to fast. So I'm struggling with keeping a feeling and 6r all the time. I've tried for a long time now but I just can't keep a feeling as an object of meditation. So at the end of the day I'm back at mindfulness of breathing - where I'm kind of stuck since years, even with all the knowledge of your talks. What advice would you give to all those who haven't found "their" practice yet, where they can see progress and feel comfortable with?
It is likely you are trying to hold on to the feeling. Allow it to be there- if it fades go back to your smile and just smile for a little while and it might show up again. Be very content and gentle - don't push. Check this webpage www.dhammasukha.org/trying-too-hard.html

Checking in before day one of the online
thank you, I was feeling a lot of anger and pain and this dissipated it. I'd like to go through life in a constant openess and awareness to forgive.
💐💐💐♥️♥️♥️🙏🙏🙏
Well explained which helps to understand how to forgive while practicing meditation. 🙏🏼.
But, how to gradually end sitting and return to normal?
I want to know and understand, in forgiveness meditation, how to release distribution or bad / unexpected thoughts to concentrate or observe wishes
🙏🙏🙏
What's the other statements which one can use in FM?
