This Metta or Loving Kindness Meditation is a guided meditation that runs 30 minutes, which is the suggested minimum time for you to sit. It is based on some of the Metta instructions of Bhante Vimalaramsi. Metta is part of the Brahma Viharas found and described in the earliest Buddhists texts as another path to awakening including breath. This meditation will lead you directly to the deep awakening of the heart and mind.
You spend the first 10-15 minutes by radiating Loving Kindness to yourself and then to a Spiritual Friend and finally to the 6 directions as required in the full BrahmaVihara Practice. www.dhammasukh... There are less instructions in this session for people who already know the instructions.
It will be helpful for you to be familiar with the 6R Practice for eliminating hindrances. What are the 6Rs?

@@davidjohnson8218 I see. Let me ask you this David, Why are there not any ads on Thanissaro Bhikkhu dharma talks or his meditation videos? Nor are there any ads on S.N. Goenka meditation videos. RUclips seems to be fickle...lol
@@josephoutward I don't know. We try to avoid the monetizing loop. However if you use copyrighted music they will hit you with ads. Perhaps that's what is going on here. But this music on this is originally produced. No copyright.
@@DhammasukhaOrgthat’s odd. This video doesn’t even have background music. And this video didn’t use to have ads on it. I know because I’ve used it quite a few times. Now with the ads, it’s not usable anymore. RUclips probably changed some default settings. It would be good to double check if possible. I plan to download the video and use that instead. Thanks for the good work, btw. This is just my feedback and not meant to criticize at all.
