“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.”

I can personally attest to tip #2 as I was previously a mechanical engineering student mainly because my dad encouraged me that it was a good field to be in while my interests really liked within business and then recently I switched to a business oriented degree and my parents were like surprised that taking more time to study before exam and working harder as I just really enjoyed the subjects and I found it hard to force myself to study as much in engineering because 1 nothing made sense and 2 I had no passion for it as my goal was to always run a business not be an engineer working a 9-5 job til they die.

I'm studying mechanical engineering. It's not my biggest passion but I intend on building wealth first with my knowledge and portfolio. Then transition to a busi business man in fields related to what I previously worked at so I know what's up. Be it car parts, electronics or similar manufacturing plant

    • @LuisC7

@@ImprovementPill Exactly. Mechanical engineering pairs pretty well with what I'm trying to achieve. Buy land, build houses, put solar panels on them, do some technological agriculture, start a business on making car parts, solar panels, whatever. I'm not picky I just want to be at a point at 40 years old where i don't need to work if I want to, although I will until I can.

I'm studying mechanical electronics at technical college just so I could get a job. I'm also not passionate about it but I don't mind doing this kind of jobs even though it's can be very hard (I'm suck at solving problems, and this being an engineering field, I'm struggling a lot). I don't have any passion so I don't what is my long term plan... Right now I just hope that I could get a job and a free time so I could explore more activities to find my passion. Finding passion is harder and take longer for me 😔

Just throwing it out there for everyone having trouble getting started. Take the time to constantly give yourself affirmations when doing small things, gain momentum and motivation through those small things so they become more small things and in turn bigger things. This has done wonders for me and it might for you as well.

    Pain!
    & bureaucracy!
    & unforeseen circumstances!
Also with autism I feel literal repulsion not just unexcitement from having to do things that I don't want to do.... and lumping it together with something I like is actually like likely to make me not like the thing that's supposed to be good I'm trying to pair with the thing I don't like.
Efficiency is compromised in the passionate person when outside unforeseen circumstances pervade and delegation and outsourcing fall through. Disability makes productivity difficult.
