Does that buddy stuff you sprayed in the undercarriage of the truck greasy in the sense like dirt would stick to it??
Not really, I don't have a problem with that at all.
Hi Jason
Just got some of this tool box buddy
So Iam a rookie when it comes to this stuff
I can pretty much spray it anywhere under the Jeep but not near or on the brakes is that correct???
And if I have a bit of rust I can sand it off and spray paint it??
YES! Exactly like that... just spray a bit most places and wipe it around a bit... it's messy but works great! Let me know how it works out for ya!
@@AutoEdits I used an Amsoil version yesterday (after clear-water power spraying for 15 minutes) - but those fumes!!! I spray, then move away to breath for 30 seconds.
Nice video 👍
Thanks!
I bought a 80 dollar 3000 psi electric pressure washer I’ve had it for 4 years and it works better then a gas one and I never even have to put gas and it costs almost nothing to run it. I pressure wash cars in winter in 5 minutes in my garage without worrying about stinking the whole garage or being to loud. I also have a turbo nozzle that will take paint off a car if needed 😂
I'm going to look into the electric ones now!
I have a 4200 Psi with a Honda gx390 and itll cut through tires and remove paint, rust anything.
Have a look at Autoglym Polar seal as a paint protector for both paint and undercarriage
Wd will rot out rubber I will have to try that tool box's buddy
I still use that stuff!
Does the tool box buddy collect dirt on the suspension components? Seems like dirt will stick to it once you go offroad.
It doesn't really cause me any problems at all.
What spray paint do you use for the chassis ?
I use a semi-gloss black... whatever is on sale at my local parts store... often it's the duplicolor but rustoleum makes a good one.
You are awesome!
You are awesome... thanks!!!
You should do a center console swap
What for?
Instead of the jump seat
I probably need to go under my dually and do the WD40 trick. With only 1600 miles, she still looks fresh concidering the rain. Just think a good coating would look nice. Curious how well wd40 would look on the mirrors and that to get the plastic to pop again.
I think putting something on there is a good step in maintenance!
Dude you need to figure out some sort of inner fender😂. Awesome content as always.
Kind of but kind of not gonna happen!
How has the jasper engine been holding up?
PERFECT! I absolutely love the Jasper Engine. It doesn't use oil, has been the solid foundation for this entire build. Can honestly recommend 100%
Is the tool box buddy safe for rubber parts?
I have been using it for a couple of years but for longer term... we'll see.
Now that Lucas has discontinued tool box buddy, what product do you recommend for chasis detailing?
They still sell it on Amazon for now but I get the Penetrating Oil and it is the same !
16:23 Pinto over here trying not to get decapitated by the door😂
She knows the drill!
Good trick! Been doing it for years with wd-40. Subed!
Welcome and yes... the WD40 is what I used on my dirt bikes for years as well! This stuff just lasts a bit longer and unfortunately costs a bit more... but I like it!
You washed the mud and other bits off your junk, looks so clean now. But how did your junk get so filthy in the first place, your truck was muddy and dirty too!
HA!
Are you ganna be at EJS?
No plans this year... might use the time to wire up the Mustang!
For soap i use Albert VO5 hair shampoo... thats a trick that i learned years ago... soft on the car and creates a lot of foam... and most important is less than 2$ each bottle
Great video 👍 finally see how you get your vehicles looking so clean! Question I'm going to be painting parts of the frame on my Dodge, do you have a brand of semi gloss paint you would recommend??
I just use the Duplicolor I can get from my local Pep boys... Semi gloss black
@@AutoEdits thanks! Love the videos been watching since the first Jeep video you put up.
Why don't you make some aluminum fender well plates? Seems to be almost necessary
That's a lot of work and I just clean it up when I can... it comes out pretty nice.
Anyone know a way to make a steering wheel softer on a 2004 Ford e 350 van?
Nice! More great content! Keep up the great work. Aloha
Thanks and Howdy!
Jason, I keep revisiting this video and your Jeep cleaning video and love the content! Quick question though, would you ever consider Rhino or Line-X as an undercoating? May not be too big a deal for Southern California but snow states would love to know. Lots of misinformation out there and hope you’re willing to weigh in on the subject? Thanks man!
Howdy! I'm not sure how the line-x (or like product) would do on all the suspension bits and pieces and I've heard that if there was any corrosion underneath when it gets applied... it keeps going. What about that Por15 or something along those lines? It has properties to seal and protect.
AutoEdits I’ll check that out. Thanks! Please keep the videos coming and I’ll be sure to use your links when I pick up some Lucas Oil products. Hope you and Pinto are getting some good soccer time in during these crazy times! Be safe out there ✌️
How much has the Ram build cost you so far? It looks fantastic and I’m sure runs even better than any video can describe, but I want to know a ball park price to make a similarly capable rig
Not sure but these trucks are cheap to get in to.
i love this guy and im going to but his tees
Thanks!
Thanks for the video, very informative. I just bought a used 4x4. Plenty of rust and grease and grime on the undercarriage. Obvious the last dude didn't take care of all the aftermarket parts(seriously who lets a Rancho kit get so bad?) What's the best way to go about beginning the process of cleaning it?
Do what you see in this video and that will help you get in the right direction.
Don't worry Rancho kit comes bad from the company.
Did it work on the rust and grease off the undercarriage of your 4x4? I have the same issue on one that I recently purchased.
@@TJ-22 Yes, quite well.
Thanks
