    I don’t understand why people say it has a lot of recoil. I’ve carried a Glock 43x for years and find it to have a much snappier recoil than the hellcat pro. So much so that I switched and the hellcat pro is now my new daily carry.

    I have the DPM Recoil system in my Springfield XDm Elite 10mm, it works. I have a new Hellcat (non-pro) and have found that the more I shoot it the recoil is a non-issue. This little pistol is little gem. In fact, this HK fanboy traded off his HK P30SK EDC and now favor the Hellcat, size does matter. My Hellcat paired with Liberty Ammunition Civil Defense ammo make it non-existent on the belt.

    All pistols in the Hellcat Pro form factors will be somewhat snappy. The Hellcat RDP does have the lowest felt recoil out of the three Hellcats but I still prefer the PRO. After upgrading my Hellcat Pro to the MCarbo internals and the Holosun, optic, I am almost as fast and accurate as with my G19. That said the DPM recoil system sounds interesting since I did something similar to my 10 mm which made a big difference.

    • @360TacticalSolutions

    • @360TacticalSolutions
      @360TacticalSolutions  Год назад +6

      @@whatsup24_7 I don't agree. Before I bought the Hellcat Pro I rented both guns. The reduction in recoil for the Sig was hardly measurable and for me personally it doesn't fit my hand very well. Hand fitment varies of course which makes it come down to the facts and personal preference. Since personal preference can vary so much we can go by price. The Sig comes in $200 more than the HCP every day of the week. Price isn't everything of course, there's always capacity. While it may not seem like the Sig having an extra 2 rounds of capacity will matter in terms of concealment it actually does. When you hold them side by side you have quite a bit more grip/mag length to potentially cause printing. There are a lot of variables between these two guns but for me that added two rounds of capacity isn't worth the extra two hundred dollars. For some that might be a big bonus...$100 per extra round, but I can't justify it

    • @360TacticalSolutions
      @360TacticalSolutions  Год назад +2

      @@whatsup24_7 thats exactly my point. Everyone is going to have a different experience. I paid 500 for my HCP which still puts it on average 200 less than a Macro. When I tested the Macro its difference in felt recoil was basically like the difference between the HCP with the DPM spring. Again...it's about the user. The Sig didn't fit me personally and because of that it wasn't comfortable and I didn't feel it as being a major difference from the HCP which is why I didn't buy the sig. It's the same with concealment. I didn't say it's not possible or hard to conceal but there are factors like body type, how someone dresses, what environment they live in. Those factors dictate whether that extra 2 rounds will make a difference. All in all im just saying that clearly you love the Macro and thats cool but it doesn't mean it's the solution for everyone. For me, for my math...I didn't see any area where that extra cost was justified and honestly im happy with my HCP. Id be cool with it being stock with no changes other than the red dot but the whole reason I do this is to do the testing and let people know how different upgrades worked out for me and what they might expect. At the end of the day they may not have the same experience as I do and thats why it's important people watch channels they trust. Hell I watched a dozen videos talking about how crazy the Macro was in recoil reduction and I was really let down when I finally shot one. This is how these things go

    • @boomee78
      @boomee78 Год назад

       @whatsup24_7 i thought i was going to buy the macro but shot it several times 2 rentals and borrowed a friends i realized i hated it. Grip dosent work for me i have narrowed it down to a hellcatt pro a glock 48 or a walther pps m2. I have no problem concealing a 19 a walther pdp full size. This is more for dress up events a backup or a running pistol. Different strokes for different folks

    • @boomee78
      @boomee78 Год назад +1

      @whatsup24_7 sometimes round count isn't the focus, and it's not the focus for or reason im buying the pistol . The 19 is the compact pistol, not the 48 or the 43x all those, and the hellcat pro are in the same category as the macro. I think focusing on your skill with shooting is way more important than the gun you carry. If you're proficient, it doesn't matter. You dont have to keep telling everyone the macro is the best. it's not its best for you. Not everyone else

      I have. Actually I bought the Hellcat Pro about two months before the magazine ban here in WA and then got my hands on the Macro when I took my HCP out for the first time. The guy that was at the gravel pit let me shoot his, we traded back and fourth. I agree the Macro has a slight advantage in the recoil department. I felt that the grip on the HCP fit my hand better than the Sig but thats going to be all personal preference. For me what it boils down to is the Sig runs on average $300 more than the Hellcat Pro. Does it have $300 worth of recoil reduction over the HCP, can I get more recoil reduction out of the HCP while spending less than $300? These are some of the answers Im trying to get to in this series. Comparing both guns side by side, stock, no upgrades at all…I‘ll take the Hellcat Pro for $550 vs roughly $900 on the xMacro because im not feeling a $300 increase in value when I shoot the Sig. Truth be told im probably going to buy one anyways because I do want to get some side by side comparisons. Im just struggling to justify the purchase right now lol

      I dont know about more recoil but its a different type of recoil. The 115 has more of a snap where as something like 147 is a thud. I actually prefer 147. Just for comparison the average for 147gr is 965fps where as 115gr runs around 1165fps. I can have you load two mags and I can shoot them side by side and tell which is 115 and 147. Although it takes more energy to push the heavier projectile, they tend to not compensate for that extra weight as you can see in the bullet speed. Thats why competition shooters run 147, they get a flatter shooting experience

    A very honest and straightforward review, the way reviews are supposed to be. I ordered the DPM kit a couple of years ago for my 1st generation Hellcat (the original). Based on my level of shooting, I could tell a smoother, easier and better shooting experience after I did the trial and error method to find the right combination. Like almost all manufacturers, Springfield made the stock spring in the Hellcat over-torqued to the point of being ridiculous, as a way to protect themselves from lawyers and lawsuits in this country. While the DPM kit is not a perfect solution for everyone, it's worth checking out. No spring kit in the world will do ANYTHING to help if you do not have the correct grip, stance and ammunition - period. So, don't blame Springfield or DPM if you don't know how to use a micro-compact pistol the right way. I would also recommend giving a good trigger and action job to dramatically improve the ability of the Hellcat as well.

However I think I can help with the side by side comparison project if you're interested in showing slow motion footage of all three guns under recoil. A good start would be to shoot all your footage in a higher frame rate than 24fps (60fps and up) depending on the camera you use. I figured out a way to draw reference lines in my footage to show where the gun starts (before the shot) and how high it climbs under recoil. • @360TacticalSolutions

      For me the major difference with the apex was more textural. The stock trigger rubbed the corner of my finger raw. It sounds petty and stupid but after a few mags it was almost irritated to the point of a blister. The Apex feels a lot better on my finger. For me that was worth the $80, I have an Apex review video and link if you go look at my videos. As far as performance goes it did smooth the action a little bit and lighten the trigger. It comes with a trigger, return spring and striker spring.
      The MCarbo set up seems to be really popular and people rave about it making the trigger smoother and adding reliability. The metal striker sleeve im sure will alleviate any issues that may come due to the stock sleeve being plastic but I have a relatively high round count on my gun and I trust it 100%. Not to say Mcarbo isn't worth it, I just haven't seen anything that makes me feel like it can have more reliability than it already does. People do say the Mcarbo set up does make trigger function a lot smoother than stock and just looking at the springs that come in the kit, I would lean toward believing it. I just don't put a lot of weight into the claim of added reliability. Thats not a metric that I can really measure because I haven't seen a reliability issue.
      In your case I would lean toward the Mcarbo upgrade first as long as either you are mechanically inclined and can do the upgrade or are willing to take it to a gunsmith to do it. The recoil reduction spring won't be something that you will feel enough change to justify the purchase. I would say that this DPM system is more like fine tuning your recoil vs reducing it.

The smaller hellcat also has a shorter barrel which is more of a disadvantage than anything.

It could be something as simple as how the gun fits your hand, maybe an old injury, possibly the shape of the grip throwing off your grip (not yours but people in general) and making it feel wild and uncontrollable. At the end of the day I think everyone should live fire a gun before buying so they know what to expect, how it fits them, weather or not they can be accurate with it, how the recoil feels. Honestly, after over 1000 rounds through my Hellcat Pro with Crimson Trace Rad Micro Pro green dot sight, the truth is simple:
    Zero malfunctions, easy to carry and conceal, and the firearm will give you back what you put into it regarding time spent on the range. Carrying the smaller “micro .9mm handguns” presents the shooter with a trade off; they’re going to have more recoil, but will be infinitely easier to carry and much more comfortable to conceal.
    The CZ P10C is such a sweet shooter and is very comfortable to shoot with pleasurable recoil and ergonomics. But compared to the size of the Hellcat Pro, it’s demonstrably heavier, bulkier, and less comfortable to conceal and carry. Conversely, the Hellcat Pro is less comfortable to shoot than the CZ P10C and has less comfortable ergonomics, but it is a pleasure to carry and conceal.
    I pocket carry my Hellcat Pro (with the Crimson Trace Rad Micro Pro green dot sight) in an Alabama Pocket Holster. I buy my shorts and pants to dress around my firearm, as you need the right pocket size, shape, and strength to pull this off. But trust me when I say that nobody can tell that I’m carrying a 15+1 .9mm pistol with a red dot sight in that pocket.
    Also, with training, I can draw from my pocket and hit my target just as fast as I can draw from my IWB and AIWB holster rigs.
