thank you for producing this educational content. this video is the first video i watch that has anything to do with hydroseeding, its my intro. thank you for making how to and information accessible.
Builder was spraying this green material on storm water pond in my neighborhood. I was wondering what's that. Then came across your video. Very informative ..... Keep it up.
Am just currently watching this ,thank you for the incredible work. Hoping that you get to see this ,can i substitute saw dust for pulp/mulch . Am in a country where none of the above is 0acked commercially . Thank you
Hello, thank you for this video. I just brought a home in the Loris (Bayboro) area and I’m looking to have this done. Can you tell me who I can contact? Some companies told me they only do commercial properties. Thank you!
can you tell me the manufacturer and type of hydro spray blend? where can i buy it? I would also like to ask for the mixing ratio of hydro spray, grass seed, fertilizer and water? if another ingredient is needed, can you also add it to the recipe?
Nice video. After hydro seeding after how many weeks will you apply fertilizer (they say to apply starter fertilizer after 5 to 6 weeks). Do you mow and then apply the fertilizer or just apply it on the grass since again you’ll need to wait till 8 weeks to mow the lawn? By then the fertilizer would have anyway settled right?
Thats an awesome question! I actually dont know the answer to that. We only hydro seed lots after we tear down houses. The maintenance and up keep is up to the property owner once we leave, we dont come back to fertilize!
Seed: 1 bag of contractors seed - $99.00 1 Bag of all Green seed - $69.00 1 bag of fertilizer - $25.00 1 bag of neutralime - $32.00 1 container of Floc Lock - $26 4 Bales of hydro mulch - $20.00 each - $80.00 total Rental of the machine - $267.00 Total time involved picking up, mixing, spraying, and returning unit..... maybe 6 hours Total cost = $598 + 6 hours of time!! This was only about a 1/4 acre lot (or less). It gets much cheaper per acre the more acres you do at a time!
I live in Orangeburg County SC and have a lot about half that size I'd like to have grass on, how much would I have to water it after spraying it on the ground?
She's right about the onion grass🤣🤣🤣 but it's actually a weed that grows in the grass we have that a lot down here in Savannah Georgia when you cut the grass it smells like a bunch of onions sweet onions💯💯💯
I know this is a couple years later but I just now discovered hydroseeding and just want to ask if you feel like hydroseeding would be a good small business to start that could maybe eventually develop into a larger business or is hydroseeding something that would be better utilized as a sub component of a landscaping business? Currently interested in starting my own business, just unsure of what route to take
@@MorlenKennels I have the same thinking as well. I’ve heard of people having businesses dedicated just to hydroseeding from other RUclips videos, but I agree with making ends meet. Someone would need a lot of properties continuously to keep a steady revenue, but eventually, someone would run out of properties in a localized area and would need to expand their area of work. But thank you for your response! Great video!
My best advice is to talk to the people that you buy the seed from. They are a great resource and can give you all the quantities that you will need! My local seed store sales man actually came out to my first jobsite and walked me through the process in person!
Did you buy seeds specifically for "hydro seeding" or can u just use any seed from big box store? I have 2 bags of Kentucky grass & 1 bag of annual rye ....don't want to get rid of it.
I bought all the material at my local grass supply place, its called vereen's turf... I am sure you probably have a local store that sells all the stuff you need!
Nowadays it will cost you $5-$6 a gallon to refill the gas yourself lol. Man we have such a great president. Really taking care of the country and saving lives or maybe what I mean is life savings being spent on god damn gasoline
I'm also curious as to what he did wrong.... do you have any links to videos where it's done right? Or did you make a video somewhere? Genuinely curious - not trying to bust your chops!
Didn't see anything wrong I been hydroseeding for 8 yrs now except we have a 4000 gal truck. I didn't see any tackifier but maybe the mulch had it in there already. Good video
Love how you kept it real! No hiding the mistakes! Thanks..
Dude you got a good energy . Your wife is pretty and supportive. Good on you guys .
Thanks man we really appreciate that!
I just finished my first week on a hydroseeding truck. the Canon is pretty sweet, the hose is incredibly heavy I can't believe how heavy it is😆
True story!

Absolutely! Thank you for viewing!
Had no idea you can rent them. I was getting some astronomical quotes! Thank you
Absolutely! Thank you for watching!
Thanks for the information that help me a lot God bless your family
An excellent video.
It will be a good life with your family. Greetings from Turkey.
1 year later: Tip, it's cheaper to pay $5-$6 dollars a gallon for fuel at the rental yard than to fill it up at your local gas station.
Let's go Brandon!
2 years later…. No it’s not 😂.
‘MURICA!!!
Thanks I'm doing that this morning never did it and your video help
Dude that's awesome!

Great video thanks I learned a lot
Favorite smell in the world...onion grass!!!

It is pretty fun to do!

I dont see why not!
Great video man I’m local to you & needed this video!
Sweet!!!
Good video
Where did you buy the hydro mulch?
Great video. Thanks
Felt like I was a part of the team! Great energy 💯👍

Good Video. I am also from SC I’m in columbia What about you?

sooooo good. I want grass, and your video was so helpful! you're both funny as heck. Great content. thank you thank you
Thanks man!!
Can you do a video showing the results of the hydro-seeding? It rewarding to the viewer to see the before and after :)
I really should have done that... its been so long now it wouldnt be a true before and after... sorry about that
I'm guessing the pond water didn't allow it to come out that good.
can you tell me the manufacturer and type of hydro spray blend? where can i buy it? I would also like to ask for the mixing ratio of hydro spray, grass seed, fertilizer and water? if another ingredient is needed, can you also add it to the recipe?
Hi,can come with a new video about result(grass growed).
Thanks
Thats a great idea!! I will try and do that thank you!!!

Hydroseeding is done on new subdivisions and demolition projects to suppress the dust. The dust is pain in the provervbial if not suppressed.
Thanks for the video! Can you add the cost breakdown in the video description?
Seed:
1 bag of contractors seed - $99.00
1 Bag of all Green seed - $69.00
1 bag of fertilizer - $25.00
1 bag of neutralime - $32.00
1 container of Floc Lock - $26
4 Bales of hydro mulch - $20.00 each - $80.00 total
Rental of the machine - $267.00

Total cost = $598 + 6 hours of time!! This was only about a 1/4 acre lot (or less). It gets much cheaper per acre the more acres you do at a time!
20k give or take. Really depends on what kind of seed you use.
Anytime!

That's pretty cool
I need to buy this product bro
Where do I buy the seed and fertilizer and other materials needed
U guys are awesome
Thanks!
Heyyy, what part of SC are you in? I'm in Columbia!
Close to Myrtle beach!
Did you have to prep the ground at all?
Can you list all the brand you used for this project?
Onion grass is iust wild onions that have taken hold. Their greens look like grass and yes, the yard smells like onion when mowed
That sounds awesome!!
You can mix half loads you just gotta know how much water you put in and move your amounts around like that
That makes sense
I know this is a couple years later but I just now discovered hydroseeding and just want to ask if you feel like hydroseeding would be a good small business to start that could maybe eventually develop into a larger business or is hydroseeding something that would be better utilized as a sub component of a landscaping business? Most people I know that do this, do it as part of a landscaping business. I am not sure you could make ends meet if all you did was hydroseed?
@@MorlenKennels I have the same thinking as well. I’ve heard of people having businesses dedicated just to hydroseeding from other RUclips videos, but I agree with making ends meet. Im in SC too... where did you buy they hydroseed and lime and all that at????
It came from Vereens turf on hwy 90 in longs!!
Where is the lot that you felt you needed to add so much lime? I AM IN tENN. and it is suggested to lime as well
South carolina
You must know the Conway conman. Aka liquid Richard, big ups.
No thats a new one on me
Wild onions will grown in your lawn but it is more of a weed than a grass.
True, thanks!
How many lbs per bag??? And are any of these name brand seed bags?
Honestly I cant remember now!! Just call your local seed distributor and I bet a sales person will be able to help you!
How get hydroseed in iraq?
Another question.. Salty clay can i use hydroseed
Man I am not sure... sorry, wish I could be of more help...
Good video, but would have really appreciated seeing the final results.
True. I kept meaning to go back and film the lot but never made the time. Sorry about that m8.
Nice
Good looking peoples
"it don't actually spray"
"It doesn't"
"It doesn't"
Love your wife haha
Any issues after you sprayed, did it work?
Yes! It worked!
1:30 before and after coffee🤣🤣🤣
Lol that's those great editing skills right there!
here cause i saw a tiktok of liquid grass
Tiktok is the best!
Do you need a license or anything special to hydroseed?
No, not in South Carolina anyway.
So how much do I need for 1/2 acre
My best advice is to talk to the people that you buy the seed from. They are a great resource and can give you all the quantities that you will need! My local seed store sales man actually came out to my first jobsite and walked me through the process in person!
What was the total cost to hydro seed that lot
I honestly can't remember but I am 99% sure I answered that either in a previous comment or in the description....
New sub ❤
Thanks dude!
Oh...they didnt even prep the lot right for yall. Thats going to be rough mowing for years.
Did you buy seeds specifically for "hydro seeding" or can u just use any seed from big box store? I have 2 bags of Kentucky grass & 1 bag of annual rye ....don't want to get rid of it.
Any seeds should work fine!!
Where to buy the hydro-pray??
I bought all the material at my local grass supply place, its called vereen's turf... I am sure you probably have a local store that sells all the stuff you need!
Spraying that crap in your pond was a bad idea buddy. You had any problems with it greening over or getting sludgy since?
Not at all but we drained it since to dig out more dirt so maybe thats why...
Why
Onion grass lol I think she means chives 😂
what you put in water?
I listed all the stuff in the description!
Hello brother mason
😃
This guys steering wheel is on the wrong side.
Lol where you from?? Nevermind.... I get it. Bahahahahaha

I do this for a living it’s a pretty good job but you travel a lot

Dude you are probably correct! Luckily I don't do it for a living! Thank you!
Your wife is beautiful. Ilu
Yes she is! Thank you!
No disrespect but your wife is cute.
Yeah she is!

@@MorlenKennels hahaha you like that
I am just ready for 2024 to get here...
@@MorlenKennels you and me both brother... you and me both
Need to learn to hydroseed correctly before teaching anyone.
What did I do wrong?? Everything I have ever done has grown... so there's that.
I'm also curious as to what he did wrong.... do you have any links to videos where it's done right? Or did you make a video somewhere? Genuinely curious - not trying to bust your chops!

Too much talking, not enough footage.
Sorry man I have a tendency to do that. But hey thanks for pointing it out! Thats super nice of you!!! Hope you have an awesome day!
