- Hydroseeding can be done with accuracy. You just have to talk that guy into doing so.
Fertilize when germination is visible.
Typically usable after the 2nd mowing, which is about 4 to 5 weeks.

Those islands really look good man!💪🏻🤘🏻
I got same results on my lawn using a small turbo turf machine I picked up for $300 almost 20 years ago. A couple years later I bought an old abandoned 800 gallon Bowie for $500 from a commercial plumber. 4 cylinder Wisconsin engine with Bowie gear pump. Greetings from San Diego California.
I always wanted a smaller unit for these small jobs.
@@gorgeoutdoors turbo turf worked good for small areas but limited to paper mulch only since it's a jet agitation machine.
I'm considering building one this winter, but I never seem to finish any dreams over winter.
@@gorgeoutdoors pretty simple design. Just need a round tank a few valves and a trash pump. Plastic pump last a little more and Don't corrode with fertilizer. Mine has a 2" b&s 3.5 hp pump. I have a 500 gallon steel tank that I've been wanting to build.
Здорово👍 привет из России
Oi parabéns !!! sou aqui do Brasil, vc poderia por gentileza mostrar como funciona o equipamento, pois quero construir um aqui no meu pais, se puder também explicar quais insumos devo usar!
May I ask where we can purchase the wood fiber mulch shown in the beginning of the video?
Impressive!!
What fertilizer did you use after the hydroseeding was down?
How many bales of mulch?
What kind of fertilizer did you use on week 2?
What wood types must the wood mulch be? Can u use grass as mulch?
Круто! Молодец👍
Why would they coat gravel with clay?
Nice.
The results look very good. What seed did you use, at how many lbs per 1000sq ft?
Perennial Ryegrass. When irrigated, it is the superior lawn here. 7 to 10 lbs per 1,000.
How often did you water it after spreading hydro seeding in 4 weeks time before it was looking lush green? Amazing video with progress... You need to keep making videos, you are bound to get big on YT
Water ran 3 times per day. About 10 minutes per cycle. Needs to stay moist for germination. This was May - June, still on the cool side. Mid summer, often 5 to 6 times per day. Working on a time lapse hydro seed germination video now.
I'm just wandering do you do this only in the spring and fall?
It is highly recommended since it's cooler and more suitable for plants to grow
6:25 If there is lawn all around, why would you need to spray the area and now let it grow naturally?
Nothing grows here naturally except weeds, junk, blackberries, and poison oak.
Do we need to erase all existing grass or herbs before we spray this mix?
Good question, the prep before please 👍🏾
What kind of seed/grass is this?
Perennial Rye.
I want to follow this procedure here in Pakistan, temp here in May June is 40°C, can you share the recipe accordingly please?
Hire a hydroseeder or use the exact same procedure as he made.
Would you recommend hydroseeding for lawns that have good grass in some areas, almost NO grass in other areas? I cannot get grass to grow no matter what I do it seems. Lawn keeps getting worse every year.
It never takes when I shoot over existing grass. It will germinate above the soil and reject. It likes direct soil contact. If the soil is compacted, I would airerate, overseed, light compost, and hit it in 2 directions with a thatcher or verdi-cutter. And fertilize. That always does the trick here. Its often a compacted soil issue.
@@gorgeoutdoors I appreciate it, thank you!
would mind sharing your mix ? thanks !
100% Perennial rye
@@gorgeoutdoors Thank you , what brand mulch do you use ?
It was wood fiber mulch. Not sure what brand. I have a few bales left, I will check. I couldn't get any last order, only could get hydro straw. Doesn't last as long, but was the only thing available.
Oh. Nice grass islands that no one wants to mow.
Rasanya cara menyemprotkan nya sedikit kurang bagus, terlihat kurang santai dan tergesa gesa..
I worked at a slaughter house that was the auger of death literally
That makes 2 augers I don't want to fall into.
You are no do ng safety protocols, wear a mask and gloves
Oh shut up! he’ll be fine
