Hey MatPat, I highly doubt you'll see this comment and even if you do you probably won't care, but I love GTA 5 and I love this show called Burn Notice. In GTA 5 one of the main protagonists names is Micheal De Santa and in Burn Notice the main characters name is Micheal Westen. I have looked into these to characters and found many similarity's. You probably don't want to waste your time digging up information for this, but it would be cool, and very unlikely, to do an episode on this. Matteo, in the modern day sections of Origins, the newest game, they have a lot of data files that you can search through on a laptop. Included in those data files is a picture of Aiden (from Watchdogs) shooting Olivier (from AC4) which basically confirms that Watchdogs takes place in the modern day Assassin's Creed universe. Though the stuff about Splinter Cell and other Tom Clancy titles I doubt will be included since they are all in a world of their own and that is the one Tom Clancy made up.

I absolutely love this theory. The way Aiden plays as a stealthy, based on quick takedowns, fighter, makes him so similar to the creed I just could believe he wasn't an assassin, or at least in the same world. In all honesty, this is probably the closest we will get to a modern assassin's Creed game, based upon modern day combat

Hell it took Edward most of the game to be accepted into the order, and only after he wiped out the New World Templars. Connor also was ignored several times by Achilles.

You forgot that in ac4 you can find either a sticky note or hacked computer that says that ubisoft teamed up with abstergo to bring abstergo entertainment. Also, in watch dogs you can find far cry 3 on arcade machines in iraq's hideout.
To answer Rayman. In Watch_Dogs, The Gang hideout known as Rossi Freemont, contains an arcade game of Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon which was developed by Ubisoft in their own universe like how AC was created by Abstergo in said universe. Rayman and the Rabbids that also appears in W_D, are considered just games like Blood Dragon. FYI, the Rabbids are hackable minature Animatronics.
WeeklyClips141 what you said reminds me of a triangle of easter eggs betwen PoP trilogy, Splinter Cell Chaos theory (iirc) and rayman: In PoP WW after you kill the empress, you are chased by Dahaka a few times, in a row. I know this happened years after this video, but For Honour put in a Templar pack and an Assassin pack. The event even tells a story of someone (probably Desmond) entering the Animus and it creates a malfunction, sending him to the world of For Honour. Also, adding Rayman and the Raving Rabbids happened in Assassin's Creed Odyssey. In other words, the warframes are basically a form of digital virus that can act as a type of body armor and the Tenno are people who were intentionally trained and made through exposure to the voide to use that virus by being compatible with it.

Quite a few commercially successful games were made with it, including Hearthstone, Pillars of Eternity and Ori and the Blind Forest. Quiet a few people considered AC Unity to be a rather mediocre game to begin with and the fact, that it apparently took them almost a year after release to fix it, probably won't improve those people's opinion of the game. If you encountered no problems and enjoyed the game that's fine, but that doesn't apply to everyone. Also since not every person in the world likes the same things, questions like "Why don't people like the stuff I like?" are usually not the best idea.

Alex Dagos I still don't get it. The only two Rayman games I've played is the one where in the beginning Globox runs off with your hands. And the other one is I think Rayman 2? You start in a pirate ship and you have to rescue Li (some sort of Lum Queen or something.) And never finished either of them, (they were rented). I can't remember anything past the tutorial of the one where Globox has your hands, and the only thing I remember about Rayman 2 is Globox's annoying kids (Hurry up Rayman! We want our Daddy back!). V's unit stacking and cities-attack-and-have-more-health-and-regeneration-than-any-unit-even-when-ungarrisoned mechanics make warfare too much of a chore for my taste, and some of the game mechanics...I'm not sure, something feels off about them. In the AC lore Eagle vision is a sense we all have but don't know how to master. The assassins learned how to and teach all their ranks how to use it. They did however loose the ability over time which is why the modern day assassins can't use it unlike Desmond as he's a direct descendant of the most important Assassins such as Bayek, Altair and Ezio

Hey MatPat, I highly doubt you'll see this comment and even if you do you probably won't care, but I love GTA 5 and I love this show called Burn Notice. In GTA 5 one of the main protagonists names is Micheal De Santa and in Burn Notice the main characters name is Micheal Westen. I have looked into these to characters and found many similarity's. You probably don't want to waste your time digging up information for this, but it would be cool, and very unlikely, to do an episode on this. Matteo, in the modern day sections of Origins, the newest game, they have a lot of data files that you can search through on a laptop. Included in those data files is a picture of Aiden (from Watchdogs) shooting Olivier (from AC4) which basically confirms that Watchdogs takes place in the modern day Assassin's Creed universe. Though the stuff about Splinter Cell and other Tom Clancy titles I doubt will be included since they are all in a world of their own and that is the one Tom Clancy made up.

The way Aiden plays as a stealthy, based on quick takedowns, fighter, makes him so similar to the creed I just could believe he wasn't an assassin, or at least in the same world. In all honesty, this is probably the closest we will get to a modern assassin's Creed game, based upon modern day combat

In Watch_Dogs, The Gang hideout known as Rossi Freemont, contains an arcade game of Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon which was developed by Ubisoft in their own universe like how AC was created by Abstergo in said universe. Rayman and the Rabbids that also appears in W_D, are considered just games like Blood Dragon. FYI, the Rabbids are hackable minature Animatronics.
WeeklyClips141 what you said reminds me of a triangle of easter eggs betwen PoP trilogy, Splinter Cell Chaos theory (iirc) and rayman: In PoP WW after you kill the empress, you are chased by Dahaka a few times, in a row. During one of the chases you can find a rack of weapons that will drop you a 4 fingered white glove that resembles Rayman's hand. On top of that In Chaos theory, during the mission in the skyscraper with lots of computers on desk you can hear 2 guard mentioning PoP the two thrones as a game, and saying that one of them has heard that is awsome. Also in Rayman legends there are some levels where you are attacked by toads wearing splinter cell outfits.

I know this happened years after this video, but For Honour put in a Templar pack and an Assassin pack. The event even tells a story of someone (probably Desmond) entering the Animus and it creates a malfunction, sending him to the world of For Honour.
Also, adding Rayman and the Raving Rabbids happened in Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Layla Hassan exits the Animus and you explore, you enter the closet/storage room and you find a Rabbid figurine
(Fun fact: She says "Bwahh?" when you activate the figurine)

But what about all of the things that don't add up? Like the dinosaurs or the 80s tech?
I propose that Blood Dragon is, in its entirety, a glitch within an Animus framework, like a more sophisticated and nuanced version of Clay's memories in the Assassin's Creed Revelations dlc. It is a seamless blend of many different time periods due to imperfections within the software. That would also explain the digitalized manner in which the game is presented. But even beyond this, it could also be a symptom of the bleeding effect from a first person perspective.
In our overuse of the Animus through playing tons of "video games" (actually genetic memories used in Abstergo's Animus console). We are trying to make sense of the massive amounts of data that we have been fed and the console itself is glitching out. It's a perfect storm that gives us the wacky yet grave symbiosis that is Blood Dragon.

Kanzu Actually its not a hard theory to answer at all. There is pretty strong evidence that the Tenno actually spawned from something in Digital extreme's earlier title Dark Sector. In other words, the warframes are basically a form of digital virus that can act as a type of body armor and the Tenno are people who were intentionally trained and made through exposure to the voide to use that virus by being compatible with it.
Kanzu To be more precise the virus bestows the exposed to powers of uncontrollable levels. These "Warframe" are used to construct this power in the abilities of each frame. The Warframe universe resides in a different but quite parallel universe to Dark Sector, as the Technocyte virus begins on earth in the predecessor and is made by the Orokin in Warframe. So essentially the Tenno are a race of possible humans/orokins change by the void and suited with armor to help guide these powers in order to combat the Sentients who seem to be creeping into view very soon . . .

z beeblebrox Well, the Unity engine isn't really that "hobbyist" at all. Quite a few commercially successful games were made with it, including Hearthstone, Pillars of Eternity and Ori and the Blind Forest. Ubisoft is even listed as one of Unity's costumers, so the idea of them making a game with it isn't too far off ;)

Well, I think the biggest problem is the term "not buggy ANYMORE". Quiet a few people considered AC Unity to be a rather mediocre game to begin with and the fact, that it apparently took them almost a year after release to fix it, probably won't improve those people's opinion of the game.
If you encountered no problems and enjoyed the game that's fine, but that doesn't apply to everyone.
Also since not every person in the world likes the same things, questions like "Why don't people like the stuff I like?" are usually not the best idea.

Alex Dagos I still don't get it. The only two Rayman games I've played is the one where in the beginning Globox runs off with your hands. And the other one is I think Rayman 2? You start in a pirate ship and you have to rescue Li (some sort of Lum Queen or something.) And never finished either of them, (they were rented). I can't remember anything past the tutorial of the one where Globox has your hands, and the only thing I remember about Rayman 2 is Globox's annoying kids (Hurry up Rayman! We want our Daddy back!). Also the Teensies screaming Help.
At the end of far cry 5. The world goes into nuclear warfare. And there are note with assassin creed characters.

V's unit stacking and cities-attack-and-have-more-health-and-regeneration-than-any-unit-even-when-ungarrisoned mechanics make warfare too much of a chore for my taste, and some of the game mechanics...I'm not sure, something feels off about them. Which is a shame, because some of the others are neat.

In the AC lore Eagle vision is a sense we all have but don't know how to master. The assassins learned how to and teach all their ranks how to use it. They did however loose the ability over time which is why the modern day assassins can't use it unlike Desmond as he's a direct descendant of the most important Assassins such as Bayek, Altair and Ezio
