  • Which one should I get, Omar. Well, in this video we will discuss which camera might be the right camera for you. Which is better?
Correction: at 9:56, that's the 10-24 with OIS, not the 18-55. Same thing.

Thank you so much for the video. I was waiting for T3 price to go down but then XS 10 showed up and I couldn't pick one over the other. I am new to the Fuji and XS10 make so much sense for me. I miss the styling of T3 though but function wise, XS 10 would get me going faster. Love all videos. Definitely my favorite photography RUclipsr. Keep up the good work.

What I've learned over the years of being a Fujifilm owner is to buy 2nd hand. Fujifilm users are notorious for GAS and you'll get bargain prices on used but excellent condition Fujifilm bodies and lenses. If a new model comes out, just wait for a month or two and it'll be on sale or used ones will pop up. Unless you just want to be "first" in the tech gadgetry, buying a few months later used will be a wiser choice no matter the model you're going to choose.

    • @apertureangels7928

Exactly. And ignore the "is this or that camera good enough in this or that year" silliness. Most of the time- for your average shooter- YES of course they are!
XT1, 2,3 can be had all for a figurative steal in great shape on ebay (well, actually at the time of this writing Nov.2020 prices on the XT3 have gone up a bit due to the recent firmware update, but still, $800 US can get you a fabulous XT3 body if you are patient. $5-600 for the XT2's and $300 or less for the XT1. IN good shape with low shutter counts from sellers with good feedback...just...wow. Right? Peace.

I built out my entire Fuji platform secondhand. Used XT2 and 18-55 kit at the end of 2018 for $750, used 16 1.4 and 23 1.4 found locally, used 56 1.2 from eBay in great shape, brand new in box 55-200 and 60 macro for almost half price from a Facebook group. Couldn’t be happier, one of the best value platforms on the used market.

Dear Omar, I am so glad I stumbled upon your video, as this is exactly what I am contemplating between.
I am a novice photographer, and I have enjoyed shooting with my X-E3 tremendously, and I also appreciate the style which makes it much more fun to use in my humble opinion. I am sure that I haven't yet utilized some of the features of my camera, however, it is getting both a little too used and mostly outdated. Since the X-T3 is now at the same price point as the X-S10, and both are somewhat affordable, I go back and forth without making a decision between the two. Overall, as a professional camera, I guess that the X-T3 has more value for money, and should probably be overall better - except for the IBIS, and unfortunately, the main issue that makes it difficult for me to go with the X-T3 is the lack of it. I shoot mostly stills, and I like to shoot indoors and sometimes in low light situations. I probably should mention that I enjoy shooting mostly on aperture priority, with a maximum of 6400 ISO and an automatic shutter speed. How much will I benefit from having IBIS? Other than that, the X-T3 is a no-brainer for me, it has mostly advantages over the X-S10.
    Thanks!

Very new to XT3 and loving it! the retro-look is what I am used to! One comment - I am an older shooter who is tiny with size medium kids hands so the grip is absolutely perfect for me! I have never seen a RUclips that mentions this! But by the way, hand size and strength are critical considerations. From expensive experience I know that it absolutely does not matter how popular camera is, how a camera looks, how brilliantly it performs or even how inexpensive it is - if I can't heft it around easily, because of the massive (big guy) grip, it still stays stuck in my bag. So while I am beginning to really a lot about the XT3, it was definitely the smaller (not one size fits all) ergonomics to take a second look!

I liked your review. As an ADD photographer this was the best review I’ve seen so far. I have been in photography since 1977 when I lived in Japan. However, with ADD I have for years gotten overwhelming with details in search for the perfect picture. I get so focused on the camera and settings I miss the location and light I’m trying to capture. You make an extremely compelling argument for both cameras. By the way I’ve heard the problem of competing stabilization when using both in body and external stabilization. You option was good to reinforce this point is still alive. Great review

I have the X-S10 and as a night street shooter (stills), the IBIS is a huge plus for me. I shall keep my X-T3 for use with zoom lenses that have OIS and also to use with manual focus lenses, since it has such a nice EVF to use for focusing. But the little X-S10 has one me over.
As an aside, I'd like to say that you are one funny guy Omar and I love watching you amuse yourself as you pull faces and make gestures at your video monitor. You could have more fun than anyone I know by simply locking yourself in a room with a mirror.

Got into Fuji for small, high quality cameras and lenses but always missed an IBIS coming from MFT. Thinking about moving from the X-T3 to X-S10 now. IBIS is not just video, there is alot of photography where IBIS helps. From one handed snapshots of people to low light scenes without a tripod, or even just the easier composition with a stable preview (especially with that 90/2).

I only have the 23mm 1.4 - a lens that I was not overawed by on my X-T1 and 2 - but man does this lens and camera shine in low light. Can't speak to the x-t3 or 4 but the x-s10 is proving to be a humdinger of a camera already. I think I would like the ergonomics better on the XS-10. Also, I think the XS would be faster to operate. I don't care about the old school dials although I appreciate where you are coming from. I learned on a Pentax K1000 so I understand. Lastly, I'm a Nikon user but always liked the Fuji colors and would use the XS-10 for family outings or travel. Another great video. I still enjoy your videos even though I only have the X-70 now. You cut through to the heart of the differences between the 2 cameras. I'm still interested in the XT-3 and it is at a very nice price. When the XS10 came out, I was thinking about that one too. I had the XT-2 and I loved that one. I tried the XT-20, that's a great camera too. Fuji makes great cameras with a vintage feel. It just depends on what you need or what you think you need for your photography. Something that you didn't mention is that if you are using larger Fuji lenses such as the 100 - 400, that lens might balance better on an XT-3 than on an XS10.

I'd choose the XT3, I love the buttons and dials being available. I have an XT2 just now but wouldn't move up to the XT3/4 till they really drop in price.

Same here: I have an XT2 and an XT3. No interest in the XT4 with the flippy screen.

The XS-10 does seem like a better option for me as I travel a lot (carry on only) so space is really important. I like the flip out screen as well and the PASM dial as I'm coming from Canon 600D (rebel something in the US?). But I do like what the XT-3 offers too. Going to go to the Fujifilm store in London next week to have another look! Thanks for the great videos!

Omar, it's the X-T3 for me. Love the viewfinder, tactile dials, and overall looks.

I have the x100v (love it), and the X-T3, which I also love. Came over to Fuji after years of shooting with a long line of Nikon cameras (D7100, D750, D810, Z7, Z6ii). I like the smaller size and weight of the Fuji cameras and lenses, and now have the wide angle lens adapter for the x100v, and for the X-T3, the 18-55mm, 35mm prime, 50mm prime for portraits, and just this week my Tamron 18-300mm for Fuji cameras arrived. Talk about a great travel/vacation lens! Is it needle sharp like my primes? Probably not, but pretty darn close. Close enough to carry around when I know I'm going to be shooting from fairly wide to VERY long telephoto subjects. It's a little heavier than the 18-135mm Fuji lens I sent back, but doesn't feel as heavy as the 55-200mm Fuji lens I sold to get this one. I'm a happy shooter now.... And by the way, I love having the dial on the X-T3 and miss it on the x100v. Had one on the x100f, but wanted the new lens and tilt screen on the v, so.... Love these Fuji products....

I’m a sports photographer, and I use the Fuji x-t3 with a battery grip and the 55-200m lens. I love the vintage dials bc of the accessibility of it! I can just adjust the shutter, and iso outside of the menu, so I don’t have to waste time going into the settings menu and adjusting it like my old Nikon. And idc about ibis since I use a stabilized lens. I definitely would upgrade to the x-t4 but for now this is the perfect camera for both photos and videos!

Great video and comparison of both cameras. I think you hit the nail on the head when you said the XS10 was more a grab and go where’s the XT3 is a bit more serious walk around , creative oriented camera.

I think this video perfectly wraps it up: They are both great cameras serving a completely different workflow and addressing different typ of photographer. I just wish I'd have both :-/ However, I could never justify to turn in my X-T3/4 for the newer X-S10...

Love your videos! New to the Fuji world and photography in general. I have always had an interest and finally am taking the steps to actually learn how to get better. Thanks for all of the feedback. I totally picked my camera based on your reviews. XT3! Question and I know you've prob answered it but I cant find it easily... If you could only pick one lens what would you pick?

Thanks for this, Omar. I got the X-T3 back in the summer and it reinvigorated my enjoyment of taking pictures. I didn’t care for IBIS then but with all the buzz around the X-S10 having it, I was wondering if I should’ve waited. This helped me realize the X-T3 is still the right camera for me.

Comkng from Pentax DSLR and way back when, 35mm manual cameras... I do like the vintage look and controls... and someday I MAY get an X-T4 or it's replacement.... but, I think for what I wanna do at this point, the X-S10 might be the best option YET... I had been considering settling for an X-T30 . I really do like the savable user modes on my Pentax command dial, so that feature on the S10 might be awesome.... I like the fully articulating screen, as I will be using this for many purposes, including hopefully starting my own RUclips channel... and I also like the deeper grip. I think this will totally be the perfect step into the Fuji X system for me, now to figure out what to sell to fund the purchase of one....

I got the X-T3 with 16-80mm in September on sale. When I saw the X-S10 also came in a 16-80mm kit I questioned my decision, but I'm happy I went with the X-T3! (Also have an X-H1).

X-T3 has DCI 4K in 60fps and that's the _only_ reason I'm buying it over X-S10 for video footage. However, gonna buy X-S10 for vlogging one day.
Awesome video, great to hear we share some points of view!

Hi Omar, fully agree with you. I’ve got a Xt-3 , and now I was thinking to buy a second body and I was actually thinking to chose between a Xs-10 and Xt-3, but I decided to go with another xt-3, that I’m going to use also for video. No Ibis…yes..but, as you said…I will buy a gimbal for that purpose, then…no need a ibis. Thx

Hi Omar. I’m an old retired pro and longtime Fuji user. I own an X-T4, X-T20 and an X-S10. I used the X-S10 very little as it was just my backup camera and I had only mildly positive feelings about it. But recently, my workhorse X-T4 became unavailable, and I was forced to use the X-S10 a lot. An amazing thing happened: The more I used it, the better I liked it! Now that my X-T4 is back, I’m choosing to use the X-S10 much more. I find the ergonomics, especially the grip, smaller size and lighter weight to be more important to me. The looks, control scheme and weather resistance much less so.
I think that had you used the camera more than just a couple of days the tone of your review of the X-T10 would have been more positive. Change is difficult for everyone, Omar, even for youngsters like you 😁
