I’ve used the retinal serum and I could see a difference in my skin. I actually went back and bought a couple of bottles for back up. That’s right: I went from Murad to the dollar tree and I’m not embarrassed to admit it!
i use it as well a it does work i love it and i’m not ashamed to say it i use for night time and then i bought the day time one and it works on my face very well
I buy it whenever I see it, but it’s next to impossible to find in my area! I actually have been known to go to different stores when I have the chance.
The Retinol serum is excellent. The hyaluronic acid serum is as well! I have been using them for close to 2 years and I have noticed the results of the wrinkles on my face became less noticeable. I'm 49 and my skin looks great!
I just found them at the Dollar Tree today and I never buy beauty products there. For some reason I thought since I'm getting old almost the big 50and I figured what do I have to lose for $1.25 but my wrinkles. 😆
I’m always amazed at how neat and tidy your Dollar Trees are. The ones in my city always look like they’ve just been ransacked. And smell like poison ☠️
Seriously. I would turn around and walk back out. The condition of those shelves wreaks havoc with my OCD. I just want to clean and organize them or run away.
It really hit or miss. Some of the areas with better stores tend to also be more affluent. Although that's not a guarantee. I grew up in a working class area where the little mom and pop owners kept things spotless. Then, I've gone into one for snacks in a bougie area of Los Angeles that was a wreck.🥴 Who knows? (Shrug).
I've been using that retinol serum every night for just over a month and I've seen a marked improvement! I'm so relieved that you reviewed it. The cheerleader comment was hilarious!
Same here!! I noticed favorable improvement, too!! We all know these bargain stores don't sell the very best, but that's what bargain hunting is all about and you get excited when there's a good find! So many rude and hateful people on this entire thread.
Same, and I love it also. Seen a few negative comments on here, and Im assuming it is because people have not tried it. Do not knock it until you try it. My skin looks fantastic.

I have tried this retinol and it is a GAME CHANGER😍....smoothed out my forehead wrinkles very nicely. Diminished dark spot dramatically and improved overall appearance of my skin. I keep several bottles on hand
Yes people immediately trash it cause it’s from the Dollar Tree when DT itself isn’t trying to say that it is a high strength retinol cause it’s not, but I use it and the Hyaluronic Acid serum also from DT and I gotta say, I love em! I’ve tried really expensive ones that didn’t work as well as these do, as shocking as that sounds. 🤣
Yesss me toooo, it smoothed out my forehead wrinkles big time and took away my dark spots all together! I have no more hyper pigmentation it's amazing I stocked up too lol
I bought the retinol in the purple little container!! It definitely works wonders on my skin! The liquid hyaluronic acid serum with vitamin C is Unbelievably Fantastic!! Love you Dr. Dray🥰🧡❤💙💚💛
I love how you tell us what the chemical names actually are, and what they're supposed to do, and if they can cause reactions. You are also SO MUCH FUN!
I’ve used the retinol serum. It worked quite well on my backs of my upper arms that were covered in KP. It didn’t cause any irritation. I’ve spent way more money on other products that didn’t give me results like this $1 bottle.
That Retinol Serum is quiet amazing. Bought it once 3 years ago looking for something softer than my prescription and its bomb!. Love that it has the Niacinamides, layers well w/o peeling and no fragrance. I have seen noticeable differences while using it. They do have a HA Serum too, similar ing list w/o the retinol. I use both mostly in the AM and my prescription on the PM. And obviously, lots of SPF.
The shampoo brushes can for sure cause breakage but I have scalp psoriasis and it actually helps a lot to use it super gently once a week to help remove build up of skin cells. It's really improved my scalp.
I don’t know what I’d do without my daily dose of Dr. Dray. Thank you for your daily uploads. I’ve been so lonely, and for some odd reason just putting your videos on helps me feel less alone. 💞
Dr. Dray would you please do a video on skincare routines (AM and PM) for women over 70. So many videos show people using about 5-6 serums and creams and I can't help but wonder if that is necessary once you reach a certain age. Thank you so much for all of your videos - you are a true teacher!!!!!
Seriously, I JUST came home from the Dollar Tree with a "find". Dr. Sheffield's Psoriasis Medicated Moisturizer, 2% Salicylic Acid, Fragrance Free. In the medicine area. 28gm white lotion in a plastic tube, made in USA. I haven't finished watching the vid, so apologizes if you find it as well~. Have a lovely day!
I have been using this for several months and it is fabulous. I have a bit of psoriasis and this cream is really helpful. I only use it every few days, it doesn't seem to help more by using it daily.
Yay!! I've been using the retinol serum for about a year and it really does help!! Its not a drastic difference but I notice it helps keep my redness at bay from previous breakouts and used in conjunction with salicylic acid cream I've had far fewer breakouts and they're far less severe. Thank you Dr. Dray for checking this one out!! I feel much better continuing its use now lol
Yes I'm currently using Dollar Trees retinol and it's great ...am very happy with it and was glad to hear you state it was promising, because it is. Definitely have noticed improvement!!
Best Skin item Recommendations to look and shop for at The Dollar Tree from no one better Dr. Dray . And the do’s and don’ts gave me a great feel about picking up items from Dollar Tree.
My first retinol ever was that serum. I saw some results and was surprised and pleased. It's a good starter one. I worked up to adapalene. I still buy it to use on my hands, arms, neck, and chest, and I am so happy with the price and difference in my skin. I also like the other vitamin c one as a niacinamide serum. It helps my teens skin stay more clear.
I agree it was a starter for me before I realized ADAPELINE was a retinoid. My dermatologist use to always speak on the benefits solely against acne. But the dollar tree brand serum was a great start.
I've gotten and used the retinol and vitamin C serum..both did nothing for me really. They didn't irritate my skin but I didn't see much of a result. I've since started using other retinols and have worked my way up to Tretinoin. Now I use the DT ones on my body. Howeverrrrr I do want to mention one product from the DT i SWEAR by, it's the Dermasil lotion. One of the best lotion i've used for my dry skin..and i've tried a lot...even compared to the Cerave eczema relief oil lotion I definitely prefer the Dermasil. It's just dimethicone, no scent and works great for my skin.
I used the retinol serum a year ago and it lasted a couple months. It was the first retinol I ever used and I've seen a huge difference in my skin I used it every other day and received no irritation.
The retinol serum made me a skincare believer. Before trying it, my routine was Clinique cleanser, Cetaphil moisturizer and would exfoliate 1 per week. I tried the serum out of curiosity and it changed my skin. Since then, I’ve binged watched Dr. Dray and changed my entire routine. I’m a believer now because of this serum.
It's great news that you are taking advice from someone who is actually entitled to wear a white lab coat...and who will save your skin, as well as your hard-earmed money. 👱♀️❤
@@TheWipal yes! Other retinols may be more effective, although I’ve never used anything else, but I can tell you this made a difference in the appearance of my skin.
I've bought the dry shampoo wipes for when I travel for work in case I need to freshen up my hair but don't have dry shampoo since I couldn't take it on the flight. I LOVED it! I was super dubious. I'm really picky with dry shampoos and most of the types I've tried haven't made the cut. These wipes worked better than any spray and my hair/scalp felt natural instead of filmy. It's not economical for regular use, but I love it for my niche purposes. It's nice to have a backup plan for bad hair days too.
Dippity Doo. It came in pink and green colors. My mom used to put rollers in my hair using dippity Doo, and then she would put a hairnet on my head, and I was sleep that way overnight, and get it brushed in the morning. This was either for picture day at school or some sort of church function. My mom also used it when she put curlers in her hair, so did my aunts and my grandma. The beauty shop stylist would also do it for one of my aunts every week. That's back when some of the older ladies only had their hair done once per week. They would get a shampoo and set every Saturday so their hair would look nice for Sunday morning. I would know the smell of dippity Doo anywhere! Such nostalgia!
The hyaluronic acid from there is amazing! I used it one night & the next morning went back and bought 3 more! (Y’all Don’t use everyday even though it’s tempting)
I've used the retinol serum for several weeks now and found it very promising. I bought a few more because I feel the results can definitely compare witg other name brands.
I’ve tried the retinol serum and honestly used it twice a week at night && I have seen a difference in my skin it’s brighter and more smooth I suggest trying it out hey it’s only a $1 can’t beat that won’t hurt!!
The same brand that makes the retinol serum now makes a tea tree oil face wash and it's really great! Redness isn't as bad and my skin doesn't look so flaky like it used to. Dollar Tree also has a Guru brand that is completely natural oils. Smells great and lasts a long time. No perfumes at all.
The retinol cream (with fragrance in it) in the little purple tub works great on cracked heals! I bought it earlier this summer, slathered it all over my feet, put sockies on and went to bed. When I woke up the next morning, my heals were transformed! I wore it every night for a week and then went back and bought ten more jars. I am telling you ladies, that retinol cream in the purple tub works to moisturize your heals in a very efficient way! Try it!!
Dr. Dray, you are the only skincare videos I watch. If Dr Dray says it’s OK, then I will try it. I get so irritated by all the super overpriced and overhyped skincare on the market. I’ve tried some of the expensive brands, but very few of them were worth what I paid. Some even made my sensitive skin more sensitive than it already is. One thing I have been doing everyday is wearing sunscreen. I like the brand Coola, it doesn’t break me out like some of the others. It does have some fragrance but it doesn’t bother me. I will wear sunscreen everyday now for the rest of my life because of Dr Dray
I found one at the dollar tree store. It’s pretty good I must say. I have acne prone skin and it cleared up my complexion. And I haven’t had any breakouts. I went back and I found more so I grab 4 more. Try it!
The first video I ever watched of yours was of you reviewing Dollar Tree products and I remember thinking, oh great, another know-it-all reviewing products in a store, but I started watching it and I was impressed by how real and honest and funny you were and how much knowledge you were spitting left and right and I’ve been a fan ever since. 💙
I have used the retinol for months now. I picked up the hyaluronic acid vitamin C serum that they also have in that same brand. I haven't used it yet though. The retinol is really gentle I haven't had any negative side effects. I have eczema and really sensitive skin. The consistency is the same as my more expensive retinol. I will usually put it on at night and I was able to see an improvement in a week. Less redness, and significant reduction in acne. Paired with the CeraVe night moisturizer I saw the best results. They went away in my dollar store for a while but when they came back I stocked up.
Also if you check online for the same brand I believe it's about $6 on Amazon which is still pretty cheap but since it's at the Dollar tree you can get six of them for the same price
The shave cream she picked up is very good. It's creamy. Doesn't foam up. A little goes a long way. And I just watched her video where she said not to put your arm up straight to shave, hold your arm at a 90° angle. I've NO problem putting my arms straight up with this product!
I reacted horribly to the hair products I was using, went to my derm and they did a strip test. I was most reactive to Methylisothiazolinone. Dr. Dray, would LOVE to hear a top ten drugstore hair products video featuring products w/out MI. I was all excited to try Head and Shoulders until I realized they use MI.
I skipped through the whole video to get to your review of the skin nutritions double strength retinol night repair serum. I have a drawer full of it and have only used it once. I found it at the dollar tree months ago and thought is was a great buy. Thank you for your review… I will start using it regularly to form an opinion without fears of harmful ingredients!
When I was in beauty School we were taught that any cosmetics and your shampoos conditioners lotions etc that when you look at the ingredients if water is the first one on there. It is the best. And I found that dollar tree has many products that start with water as their first ingredient. I get a lot of my supplies from there. And I have rarely been disappointed.
Those shampoo scalp scrubbers are awesome for ppl like myself who have no nails to clean my scalp like it needs for me to avoid dandruff. Once I began using one those (from the DT) my dandruff completely cleared up and from the past year I've been flake free without using a dandruff shampoo.
I absolutely love ❤️ this affordable double serum retinol. When I purchased my bottle they had 2 boxes of 30 - 1oz bottles. I came back a few days later and honey they were GONE ! If I knew this stuff was going to work this great❤. I would have definitely brought more.
They have the one with the red stripe for night and they use to carry the one for daily use. This is how I started my retinol journey. Now I'm back on Differin, Ordinary, Naturium, Faded, Laroche.
The Lusti olive oil gel is great for a “wet look”. I rub it in my hands and then run my hands and fingers through my hair while it’s damp and it defines my curls really nicely without making my hair all crunchy and hard once it dries. I also find it to be less “flaky” than other gels. Not bad for a dollar tree product. 😊
You crack me up!! I love your little singing "one liners" and be aggressive was my fav cheer too. (from your sister who also wanted to be a cheerleader but.....not cheerful)
2:31 "para que las queres" 👂jajaja this is me as a Mexican subscriber hearing you say "bolero" 🤠 yayyyyy another dollar tree video ! Gracias Dr.Dray 👋🏼🤎
The créme de skin nutritions retinol serum is a dollar deal. I've tried it and have seen good results. That same brand has a vitamin c serum for $1 as well.
I have been using that retinol serum as well as the hyaluronic serum for over a year myself. I feel they do help my skin. I am referring to the Crème De Skin Nutritions in the brown dropper bottle that she reviewed. I actually went to several Dollar Trees and bought all the had.
Dr Dray - Unrelated to this video, but just a question for your future Q&A - any tips for people who use CPAP machines on how to best maintain hygiene with the mask (and now types of masks- foam, silicone, nasal pads) to clean the mask and avoid contact irritation?
I use those scalp cleaners as a clothes and couch brushes. I have a long haired cat (and a baby sat beared dragon on loan , who loves running around and shedding skin on the couch by the sunny window. ) Vacuum brushes are great but a pain to haul out every time you need it.
I have bought and used the retinol serum and it’s not bad. I like that it has Niacinamide. I also use the baby oil lotion in the evening to ward off mosquitoes but it does have fragrance . I wash it off when i shower so it’s only on for a few hours. A better one is from Walmart equate. No fragrance.
I use the skin nutrions double strength retinol night repair serum and their hyaluronic acid serum from Dollar Tree for the KP bumps on my legs. I think it works well!!!
You’re the second person I’ve seen comment that they use it somewhere other than the face for KP. That’s so smart. Never thought to try that, but I will now! Thanks for sharing :)
I’ve used that double strength retinol serum and thought the ingredients were great. I’m glad to heat you say it looks promising because I wasn’t sure, but it seemed like a decent, affordable option :)
Happy Wednesday Dr. Dray. On the subject of shop w/ me skincare vids, I was wondering if you could do one for you’re local Family Dollar & Dollar General stores, as I’ve seen some pretty great, affordable, products from brands such as Modesa and Nuvel which I’d like you’re thoughts on in a future family dollar vid :). Hope it’s not too much ask :)
The Believe brand which is a Dollar General exclusive brand of cosmetics has some good stuff. I have tried a few of their products and liked them. Emily Noel recently did a couple of videos reviewing them as well and absolutely raved about some of them. She is doing an upcoming video on their new Believe skin care line as well. If any of that interests you I recommend checking it out. Nothing is over $5, so a savings even from most drug store beauty products.
Hi Dr Dray... I have actually tried the retinol Serum from the Dollar tree.. I have found that it doesn't cause any irritation for me or any breakouts however I did not seen any improvement within my skin when I used it.
Ur side note about the click clack sound of the shoes was hilarious🤣🤣🤣... but any way I have sensitive oily breakout prone skin & I absolutely love DT retinal & hyaluronic products💗 I use DT cleansing water with the DT charcoal face wipes to remove my make up with ease. The combo of the 2 works really great together to remove All makeup no matter if I have a light or heavy beat. Then I use DT charcoal face scrub to cleans my face, it leaves my skin feeling so clean & soft. Next I go the old school route & use DT alcohol (green color) to astringent/disinfect my skin before applying DT multi-vitamin serum & retinal serum before bed. My daytime routine is similar but I omit the 1st two steps just move right to cleansing my face wit charcoal scrub, astringent/disinfect, then I finish wit DT multi-vitamin serum & DT hyaluronic serum. My skin has looks & feels so healthy ever since I started this skincare routine🤍💫
MI = Methylisothiazolinone and Methylchloroisothiazolinone

“BE AGGRESSIVE” was my favorite cheer when I was a cheerleader! I think you would’ve been an awesome cheerleader 📣😍
I am currently using that cleanser and used it in the past. Amazing ingredients for just a buck! I also love the serum :)
“HaVe You BEen InJurIEd bY TalC?!!” Cracked me up. 😂
Dr was on a roll today. Had me rolling 😂 several times 🤣
You all know how we love your Dollar Tree visits! Have a beautiful day Dr Dray and peeps ❤️ 💵💲🤗
Happy Wednesday!

The retinol serum is AWESOME! I use it every night and make sure I never run out.
I would love to go shopping with Dr. Dray - how can you not love her? :)
That Lusti hair gel tub was TEMPORARILY awesome! Made my hair so pretty for a little over a week and then my hair got SUPER DRY w lots of breakage!
Try it!!
I actually ordered a crate of it on their website so I am stocked up!
@@lex6819 Have you tried the cream already?
I'm so sorry, but my Grammer police self reared it's ugly head. Your "heels" are part of your feet and the lotion "heals" your "heels". 😄
@@bethpat9 Grammar not Grammer if you want to police others
@@gordyaremchuk3817 ya got me! 😂🤣😂
I have been using that retinol from the dollar tree and it works pretty well for a couple of months I’ve seen improvement in my hyper-pigmentation
Dr. Dray is a true gangsta and shows no fear of those rusty shelves or tetanus,🤣♥️
;)
Yeah they really need to replace those shelves in ugh
Ya those shelves were ewwww.
"I don't know what you heard about me"..pull up at the dollar tree 😄
@@jamievogel9025 nah sand and paint after cleaning. FYI your grocery store shelves are WAY WORSE think about it!!! Ugh 🤦♀️

Looks promising to Dr Dray 👌🏼
Thank 😊
Thnx I wish I had the time to time stamp all of the things approved by Dr Dray..... wait
I found one at the dollar tree store. It’s pretty good I must say. I have acne prone skin and it cleared up my complexion. And I haven’t had any breakouts. I went back and I found more so I grab 4 more. Try it!
I use their retinol serum nightly and it does make a big difference in my skin! It works. They also have a vitamin C serum and a hyaluronic one
Do you have to wipe it off in the morning? Does it have negative effects if you wear it out in the sun?
I stay away from most beauty products from Dollar Tree but this retinal serum is pretty good. I aint mad! Im impressed.
Me too! I don't watch a lot of videos all the way through but I do when I watch Dr. X-Ray!
✓autocorrect changed Dr. Dray to Dr. X-Ray 😂
Lol l love the sound effects and mumbling mixed with singing narration! You're my fav Dr.of Dermatology.
YESSS DOLLAR STORE THIS IS MY JAM
thanks for watching
I’ve used the retinol…it’s not bad! It smoothed out my skin nicely. They also have a vitamin c serum!
Do you like the vitamin c serum?
The shave cream she picked up is very good. It's creamy. Doesn't foam up. A little goes a long way. And I just watched her video where she said not to put your arm up straight to shave, hold your arm at a 90° angle. I've NO problem putting my arms straight up with this product!
Thanks for approving the retinol serum. I have used both DT serums but I wasn't sure how good a $1 serum could be.
We really need a video
I’ve tried that retinol and I love it! Better than most drugstore brands IMO.
I really love the shop with me vids. Thanks for bringing us along. Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone 🙂

That retinol serum is amazing! I have sensitive skin and I promise it works!
They have the one with the red stripe for night and they use to carry the one for daily use. This is how I started my retinol journey. Now I'm back on Differin, Ordinary, Naturium, Faded, Laroche.
I’ve tried That retinal serum and was impressed that dollar tree had something like that. I thought it worked pretty good.
great video Dr. Dray thank you for helping us take care of ourselves in a low budget.
I bought this to just try it in my skin care routine and it’s AWESOME. Also the freeman masks
Now that I know she usually makes one purchase as her “filming tax”, can you show us what you end up getting after each shopping video?
👍
"Have you been injured by talc?" 😂 even the way you said it is so accurate to those commercials
I honestly think there are people who DUMP handfuls of talc in their knickers…
The best video! Relaxing ASMR type talking LOL, skincare, and DT!
I was cracking up at the click clacking of the little kid with heels. Little baby was walking with a PURPOSE ! 😂
Those shelves are why I am hesitant to buy stuff from DT. Does it rain inside the building? What?
My question is, don't they sell shelf liners? 2 aisles over and their cost is....well under a dollar 🤣
I've never seen shelves be that rusty in DT before. So gross looking!
The only thing I can think of is, it's caused by products leaking or spilling over the years.
@@janiebobanie72 I never thought rust. I thought brown hair color leaked.
The créme de skin nutritions retinol serum is a dollar deal. I've tried it and have seen good results. That same brand has a vitamin c serum for $1 as well.
Yes same! I always stock up
Agreed!
I have been using the retinol serum for about a month now and luv it. They also have a hyaluronic acid serum too!
Yes!!! I got both, only been using them for a week. We will see.😊
What are the names of the serums that you're using?
@@maureenpacker910 Skin Nutrition Botanical s you can also get them on Amazon for about $5
I have been using that retinol serum as well as the hyaluronic serum for over a year myself. I feel they do help my skin. I am referring to the Crème De Skin Nutritions in the brown dropper bottle that she reviewed. I actually went to several Dollar Trees and bought all the had.
I have tried the Retinol drops, and it's actually pretty good! Grab a bottle for 1$ !

Shopping 🛍 with Dr. Dray is always fun 😁.
Thank you so much for the honest opinions. Helps us make better decisions for our economical perchases.
I have tried the retinol serum with very good results, and continue to use it.
These are my favourite types of dr dray videos! 🙌🏽💙
I picked up the Retinol Serum and the under eye cream yesterday. I’m glad I got it now to try out💫
Love that under eye cream and the serum!
This video made me appreciate my local brand new rust free Dollar Tree😬
🤣 No tentanus for you!
I use the skin nutrions double strength retinol night repair serum and their hyaluronic acid serum from Dollar Tree for the KP bumps on my legs. I think it works well!!!

That Retinol is bombbbbb!! They have the hyaluronic acid and the vitamin c as well same bottle...
The shampoo brush is really good for styling curl-coily hair. Like any brush, they can pick up hair.
Good idea 👍🏼

The Believe brand which is a Dollar General exclusive brand of cosmetics has some good stuff. I have tried a few of their products and liked them. Emily Noel recently did a couple of videos reviewing them as well and absolutely raved about some of them. She is doing an upcoming video on their new Believe skin care line as well. If any of that interests you I recommend checking it out. Nothing is over $5, so a savings even from most drug store beauty products.
Thank you for getting goo on your hands for us ❤️❤️
Hi Dr Dray... I have actually tried the retinol Serum from the Dollar tree.. I have found that it doesn't cause any irritation for me or any breakouts however I did not seen any improvement within my skin when I used it.
thanks for sharing
Same for me.. it does moizturizees but that's about it.
Back in the day I really liked Wella Balsum and VO5 shampoos and conditioners.
Yes! I can still remember the scent of Wella Balsum!
Love the shopping videos, always interesting to see what they’ve got in American shops 🇺🇸
