Basically if you want to master Fox you need to develop a mindset of someone who is always on a sugar rush because from start to finish you're gonna be pressing buttons from attacking the opponent to attacking the air while you're waiting for your opponent to respawn, in cartoon form by the time the match is over you're fingers would be completely tied in knots
Reminds me of the gameplay of Star Fox where you're moving at high speeds running and gunning while doing crazy motion techniques like corkscrew spins and loop-the-loops.

if you lose to fox you’re just worse. most players use heavy character with huge area damage like donkey, dedede, link, etc because they don’t have to be accurate. they just throw the attack out and its chances of hitting are great while fox has to be dead on target or miss lmao

@@Youngmuniii That's not a healthy mindset to have because you make it sound like its an absolute Law, victories aren't based off the character alone its based on how the players uses said character

I’m still new to this game. I’ve always knew about it even as a kid (I’m 25 now) but never really cared to play because it was so much going on and seemed hard. But before I knew fox was like an S tier player I knew as soon as I saw fox he was my main because as a kid he was literally my favorite character in video games. And then his reflector is so fucking clutch. The nickname for the reflector too made me really like fox even more. THE SHINE! Fox is the goat forever. So glad to see him still rocking in these games and kicking ass like he used to on game cube.

i wish everyone right here in this exact space was able to see my fox mccloud costume, i felt like no one in my town truly appreciated it....... but this video is such a good review and tips, seeing that learning when to grab is the most difficult part for me to pick up. Keep up the good work!!!

Great video. I've always loved Star Fox and wanted to get good with Fox himself but I was intimidated by how fast he is so I usually go for Wolf instead (who I SD with constantly) but this video was a huge help

I've gotten increasingly frustrated playing fox and a back-to-basics and beyond type video like this is just what i needed
I had to completely change my way of playing with fox since I was great in Melee with him. It's like I was re learning him all over. Now I'm knocking off the rust since I have a new generation I'm training after saying I can beat all of them at once with fox. Then did it. He's my favorite character despite his flaws. Which I have begun to compensate for. 10/10 detailed guide. Smash bros vet here since the N64 Days.

honestly i think fox is the hardest character in the game, he just controlls so weirdly, his fast falling and dash speed is great, but his horizontal aerial movement speed is really slow, an so keeps you hovering in range of opponents alot of the time and you die so early being that light.
This will be a very useful guide to have some fun against my friend who mains Falco. Thank you!

just started playing Fox a few weeks ago, i used to be awful as him just a year ago. and suddenly i was just so much better, and i can't explain why other than i have a deeper understanding of the game. watching this video i found... i already do a lot of what was shown? don't know what that says about me as a player, especially because i was figuring things out on my own. not looking at How to Play, or Light tournament matches. but against certain matchups i end up playing lame, because i can't always pressure them. so instead i force them to approach me, knowing they'll make mistakes and using Fox's speed and burst potential to punish them. i did learn a couple new things, like using drill more often and how to use it properly. and it was overall really insightful, and i surprised myself.
