    Normal 4070 - amzn.to/46Xwy4J
    Finally, I tested the RTX 4070 and the RTX 4070 Super. And it makes me angry how good GPUs they are. In games they have a strong position, gaining a lot of FPS in qHD resolution. While not causing much problems to their owner in terms of noise and heating. Great news for those who are going to buy them!
    And bad news for owners of RTX 4060, 4060 Ti and 4070 Laptop. Because I compared their results and was shocked.

      The argument for gaming is a bit iffy, but this card is a serious consideration for work like video editing. Working with a 4k timeline and multicam layers, add a few effects, you can run into the vram limit pretty quickly. But simply the name "super" vs "ti super" doesn't make that immediately clear.

      @@ivananetdoma8382 friend, if you are spending 2k on a new pc and your gpu is a $750 4070 ti super then you are doing it wrong. You gpu should be about half of your budget.
      As for the $200 difference, you could put that towards a better monitor, better case, better sound system, or any number of things for quality of life improvements and still get the same performance without getting an overpriced gpu.
      The ONLY reason to spend the extra $200 on that card over a 7900 gre is if you care about the ray tracing gimmick, which the majority of gamers don't. And even then the 7900 gre cards do that just fine. There is simply no reason for it aside from fanboying.

    • @aarlavaan
      @aarlavaan 3 месяца назад

      @@ivananetdoma8382 it is a gimmick for two reasons:
      1) because it creates a massive deficit in fps and requires an upscaling technology to even come close to base fps at ALL resolutions. So you aren't getting native resolution.
      2) there are exactly zero games that require it to have a better playing experience.
      Games with ray tracing don't look noticeably better, they look noticeably more shiny. Until you can day those things are demonstrably false it will continue to be a gimmick.
      Don't get me wrong. It's a cool technology. But it isn't the future of gaming like it's been hailed as. As for amd being lost... Perhaps you should share whatever you are smoking because it must be really good. AMD is doing just fine.in their chosen market, which is midrange. They are indeed a generation behind rtx cards with Ray tracing, but again the average gamer doesn't care about that, they want they best fps for the price point, which amd owns.
      I have been looking at upgrading my own pc, and have been looking at the 7800 xt, 7900 gre, and the 4070. The 7800 xt is a solid card, but it feels a little gimped at $500. The 4070 is ALSO a good card that gets around the same performance, but it's $100 more at minimum AND it's only got 12 gig of gram, which won't be enough in a few years, and the ti is another $50 extra and the ti super is another $150 more to get the Vram that will help the card hold up better.
      So I'm probably going to go with the gre because it offers the best price to performance balance in the price range I want as well as the same amount of Vram as the card $200 more. Best bang for the buck.
      If you want to spend a month's rent on a gpu, then buy all means get a 4080 or better. I'm not stopping you. But we all know those cards are drastically overpriced and nobody should be defending those prices regardless of how good the cards are.

    Awesome video. On a sad note, $700 USD would get you a 3080FE 3 years ago. Almost 4 years after it's launch, $700 USD will now get you...3080 performance! Woo hoo! No wonder the 3080Ti is still more used than a new 4070 Super. Stupid. Thanks Nvidia, and thank you for making my 3080 a 1080P card bc of the ridiculous 10GB of video memory.
    I will never, ever buy a GPU with less memory than wtv the current console gen has. Even 16GB is pushing it at this point in the high end as do you really want to spend $1000 on a GPU that may be a 1440P with quality DLSS required in 3 years (I expect new consoles in 3-4 years with 24 or 32GB of addressable gddr7)? Idk, if I'm spending over $600 bucks I'd expect to be able to get at least 4 years from the card with ultra textures at the res I purchase the card for. FPS may drop from 60 to 30-45 over that time period, but the textures, shadow mapping etc. should not be what's holding me up.
    That means I am probably legit stuck sleeping in the Best Buy parking lot the night before the 5090 releases and shelling out the $2000 or wtv it comes out to bc AMD looks to be afk in the high end and Nvidia seems like they are sticking with 16GB on the 5080...which will probably be slower than the current 4090...which is mind bogglingly appalling and so non-consumer friendly, bc they also know 16GB is not holding up at 4K much longer. Two years. 24 months until we start seeing games at 4K going over the 16GB buffer, watch.

    Good video and i love it but as mutch i like it im not gonna buy the rtx 4070 super nahhhhhhhhhhhhh too low WRAM for that kind of money and rater performance is worst than 7900gre only advantage nvidia have is RT and better dlss but even that maybe soon change wirg FSR 3.0 and 3.1. Never the less nvidia asking too mutch for cart with 12 GB of WRAM for me im not doing same mistake as i dit with mine rtx 3070 too expensive and low WRAM plus insted i go with AMD for the first time i gonna buy 7900xt or gre why well lest just say gre and this cart in simle raw rarer beat 4070 super in 1440p and 4K for sure but all depends on game but even that is not enough cuz price is down as well. Put this simple Nvidia cant offer anything expect high price to basic user on the other hand for many people is main thing price so they go with something slower and cheaper but better was is just buy AMD and i will in this way probably take GRE or XT model of 7900 and since i dont care about dlss or fsr and dont give a flying fuck about RT cuz i learn taht if you dont have cart like at least 4070ti super or higher the RT is not gonna be good experience. In short simple raster performance in native resolution just take AMD but if you interested in RT and still have both kideys go for Nvida and sell your soul.

    Dude the 4070 super is garbage if you have to use dlss or any kind of upscaling and fake frame generation garbage your card is shit and no amount of coping is going to save it, im sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it's just the reality that people need to understand also paying over 1000 AUD for a 70 series card is straight up daylight robbery

    it's decent but for $600 12gb is sub optimal at best, within the next few years games are gonna max out that 12gb just like the 8gb GPUs

      Within a few years this card will become 1080p GPU, at best. Look at Hellblade 2! No problem with VRAM in this game, but it needs all the raw power your GPU has and even more.
      4070 Super will be limited by it's cores performance way before it can feel the lack of VRAM.

    • @jeofthevirtuoussand
      @jeofthevirtuoussand 3 месяца назад

      yep, if wattage isn't a concern where you live,
      because the 7900 gre actually need a healthy dose of overclocking of the memory, because the memory is bottlenecking the 80 cus ( it being only 18 gbs ) , even the 7800"xt" has a faster memory at 19.5 gbs while having 60 cus , the 7900gre's cus is memory straving , you can greatly improve the 7900gre but be well aware of your psu limitations ,
      ( you can see wattage figures going above 315 watts )💀
      so you better be equipped with a 850 minimum for security , 1000 watt psu to be safe

      Just kidding. But right now i have a new pc that just needs a new gpu .
      And i am stuck with the 1050 ti 🫠.
      When you said you have a 3060 ti . I just have to be happy for you lad .

      Still a worthwhile gpu at 1440p ( dlss quality/ for vram).

    12gb vram is more than enough for 1440p 120fps gaming on ultra and if you want ray tracing and path tracing get 4080super
    You say "7900gre is better cause of 16gb vram"
    What is the point of 16gb vram when you barley run ray tracing let alone 4k
    At 1440p ultra 12gb vram is enough
    1440p ray tracing 16gb vram is enough (4080 super or maybe 4070ti super)
    4k ultra 16gb ram (4080 super or higher)
    4k ultra path tracing (4090)
    But for 7900gre and 7900xtx and 7900xt they have more than what they need unless you keep your gpu for 7 years

    Do NOT buy this card or any 12gb card today. It's already not enough memory AND not enough memory bandwidth for 1440p. If you want to upgrade next year, and you will due to the lack of VRAM, the resale value of this card will be VERY low and you will lose hundreds of dollars in the long run. Just get the 4070ti Super 16gb and you won't have to worry about anything. Plus the resale value will be double that of the 12gb cards if you want to upgrade in the future.

    • @stangamer1151
      @stangamer1151 3 месяца назад

      12GB is fine for 1440p. The most graphically advanced game righ now - Hellblade 2 - needs just about 10GB at 1440p/Max settings/FG.
      Wider memory bus does not make much difference at 1440p either. 5-8% at best.
      The only reason why 4070 Ti Super is faster than vanilla Super is core count. But it is not fast enough to justify the price difference.

    • @EvoPortal
      @EvoPortal 3 месяца назад +3

      @@stangamer1151 Not true at all. You are VERY limited already with 12gb even without any fancy DLSS and Raytracing. If you want to turn on DLSS and RayTracing you are already over 12gb on TONS of games. On top of that the VERY narrow 192bit memory bus chokes high texture resolution transfers at 1440p. Plus like I said, in a year or two you WILL want to upgrade due to lack of VRAM and the resale value of any 12gb will be very low just like the 8gb 3070s are now. In the long run you're going to lose hundreds of dollars all while you could have just bought the 4070 TI Super 16gb right from the beginning and avoid all this mess.

    • @stangamer1151
      @stangamer1151 3 месяца назад

      @@EvoPortal What are these games? I played all the latest AAA/AA games and had zero issues with them. They run like a charm at 1440p/max settings (incl. RT) on a 12GB card.
      Memory bus has nothing to do with texture streaming, especially at 1440p. Memory badwidth is what really matters. And 504 GB/s, which offers 4070 Super, is plenty for 1440p.
      In a couple of years you will need to upgrade any GPU anyway, if you want to target the same resolution/framerate/setting. Unless you got a higher tier card, than you really needed.
      P. S. 4070 Ti Super costs $200 more. So you will be able to resell for $200 more, at best. Probably for just ~$150 more. The more expensive the card is, the less resale value it keeps.
