    DONT TAKE MY TIEEE!!!
    Test system specs are in the description btw. Hope you enjoyed!
    edit- 29:40 in Remnant II I'm pretty sure the RTX 4070 Super was having power issues. You can see it was at around 150W when it should be at 220W or so. I pretty sure that was a driver bug or a situation where I should have tried reinstalling the driver again, but I did not catch it in the moment. I apologize for clowning on it so much to, those results are not correct, although I don't have corrected numbers atm. All Ik is I tested the OG RTX 4070 and it was faster than the 4070 Super in Remnant II so ik it's wrong. To mention, that was the only game in these tests that had the problem. Have a good one!

There are countless reviews out for all but the 4080 Super right now, and it's extremely easy to compare all of them from a value standpoint. The 4080 Super is getting a $200 price cut and will be around 5% faster than the vanilla 4080.
      As a matter of fact, I haven't purchased a 40 series yet, because both the 4080 and 4090 were way overpriced, and I already had a 3080 since day one. I am heavily considering getting a 4080 Super now though for 4K. Mainly because of the delay of the 50 series and you can't really find a sub $1,800 4090 anymore.

    For those that don't know or do know. There used to be GeForce 2 Titanium and GeForce 3 Titanium video card. The chemical element for Titanium is Ti so therefore the short version of Titanium is Ti. Weather you say Ti or Tie (Short for saying Titanium), i think you're both right

      And we'll never get. It's that hard to understand that ray tracing has no limitation, on it's implementation ? When there will be GPU with better RT performances, developers will implement path tracing with 3 sources of bouncing lights instead of 2 and those new GPUs will struggle. It's a never ending loop. Wake up to reality.

    • @Giliver
      @Giliver 7 месяцев назад +3

      I'd argue it's more of a developer problem then the cards.
      I mean look at the games ported from the PS5, they all run really well with Ray Tracing because they were forced to optimise it for console first.
      I'm gonna buy this card tomorrow (hopefully) and I'm hyped to boot up Cyberpunk with decent RT performance. (Obviously it can't handle overdrive but that's fine)

      Breaking in what way? The fact that you won’t have 100500+ fps in old games, despite the fact that you can play the latest titles at maximum settings with path tracing, but AMD owners won’t? This is without even remembering about CUDA and accelerated by machine learning software, if you use your PC not only for games.

EDIT: After the 4070 Ti Super launch the 7900XT prices have shot up to $749 or more! Seems like the retailers saw the mediocre reviews and realized the value of the 7900XT. Impressive review mate :D Glad Nvidia sent you review samples, you're moving up in the world! Nice test bench too.
    The performance delta between RT and raster on AMD and Nvidia is kinda nuts, especially in heavy RT titles like Alan Wake 2 with Path Tracing and Cyberpunk with RT Overdrive. It definitely seems like a "bonus" more than a core feature, I'd rather spend less money and get more VRAM and more raster performance, but that's just me. Honestly the most shocking thing is how meh the card seems, it really isn't justifying it's price particularly well even against the 4070 Super let alone the 7900 XT. Now that FSR3 is out, even if it's supported in less titles it's still not really an advantage Nvidia can wave in people's faces, at least not as much as it used to.
    Now I'm just waiting for 7600 XT reviews - all these cards are WAY outta my price range, poverty sucks XD Gonna be real interesting to see how much bus width and bandwidth limits that card, seems even 192 bit cards can be adversely affected.

    Path tracing is unusable even on the 4090 without ray reconstruction. Also in AW2 most of the time you're in a forest so it doesn't do anything other than kill your frames. There are some segments in New York that look incredible with it on but they're rare so you can live without it. So far this tech demo is only worth it in Cyberpunk and Portal since you get the benefit the whole game basically.

      Unfortunately, AMD canceled and will not be launching their high-end RDNA 4 GPU, so this will be the last generation where AMD tries to challenge NVIDIA in the high-end market. Instead they are skipping RDNA 4 and are now working on RDNA 5 to be the best mid-range GPU, which sucks because if AMD commits to dropping out then NVIDIA may up their prices across the board and call their GPUs premium cards and just cancel some of the mid-range GPUs since there's too much competition in the low to mid-range markets and no competition in the higher-end market. Get ready for the 5090 to start at $3000. Our last hope is Intel, but judging on leaks, their goal is to be the best budget GPU on the market.

      AMD has raised the 7900 xt prices partially back up because NVidia once again blew it with these new "Super" card releases ... The 7900xt gives you 8-20% more frames which is quality bump comparable to ray tracing. Moreover, in many games you can turn on low-medium ray tracing and get 90% of the benefits with equal performance to the NVidia cards. It's only with path tracing where the whole experience sucks that NVidia cards suck just a little less. Don't be fooled. 7900xt FTW !!

      Honestly I don't think this will be the case. Most games go console first and then get ported to PC, and consoles are on AMD hardware, they don't have Nvidia GPUs, so I doubt studios will focus on making games that will run bad on consoles to begin with.
      For example avatar on XBS, XBX and PS5 already needs to run at 30FPS on quality mode and from what I see on benchmarks, it runs at 30 with some dips in all systems (in XBS looking the worst by far). I personally wouldn't want to make games that run bad even if I capped at 30FPS, and since we are still a few years away from the next gen consoles I don't think RT only will be a think for most games.

    If "TI" was originally a modifier (ie 4070 TI), and if Nvidia is phasing out the 4070 TI, then is this 4070 TI Super considered an upgraded version of the regular 4070 Super? If so, shouldn't it be called a 4070 Super TI? If not, how can it be consider the Super version of a card (4070 TI) that will no longer exist? Would that not just be the follow-up version of the same card (ie 4070 TI v2)?
    Maybe incoherent rambling. New to building and the various naming conventions.

      7900 XT is pretty much unuseable for RT. But so is anything from nVidia under 4080 if we are being realistic. It's just not worth the performance and upscaling tradeoffs in RT demanding games most of the time. People seem to forget that framerate=temporal resolution and high framerate just feels and looks so good. Also upscaling anything lower that quality at 1440p generally looks so much worse than native, especially FSR, but even DLSS most of the time. Selling point for nVidia is DLSS, which is clearly much better than FSR and then CUDA/application support/possibly better streaming experience. RT is relevant only for like 2 of their cards 4080 and 4090. Even with the 4090 I sometimes debated if RT is worth it - both Cyberpunk RT overdrive and Alan Wake 2 both run under 60 with Quality DLSS at 4k and since they both are shooters it is really noticeable and framegen does nothing to solve input lag/slugishness.

      @Trampus10-4 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@matejnemec3022 I agree. Everything other than rasterization is more of a gimmick at the moment. RT being one. Other problem is devs are relying on the gimmicks to bolster their games instead of polish the game itself. Just the RT performance in AMD second gen is definitely a huge leap. I would say a larger leap than Nvidia and its 1st to 2nd gen. 3rd gen may be an even longer jump, possibility place AMD 3rd gen on par with 3rd gen Nvidia RT?

      @tryfergoodra552 I think coil whine comes mainly from an over-stressed PS, more than the card. The Gold efficiency standard doesn't mean the PS is properly stable, that's a totally different thing, and is one of those hidden stats that the PS manufacturers don't publish.

      Coil whine has nothing to do with model and can happen to any individual card. It's basically a lottery.

      @@IceBreakBottle This. Coil whine is simply noise that is produced when an electrical current runs through electromagnetic coils.
      It's physics, you can't eliminate it. In some GPU's it's more noticeable but it can happen to any card. Don't worry too much about it

    I just can't get excited for these 40 cards. 4 years on from my 2070 super and this is what we got, a card that costs more and still struggles to get decent fps.
    And what's next to fix RT, what other frame this or frame that are they going to add to con us into thinking RT works. Even this card sucks when RT is turned on. AMD is looking the better choice.

    amd glazer? as soon as the video started bro shoved the new 7900 xt price cut to make the 4070 ti super less relevant 😭 I have a 7800 xt but i still think the new 4070 is a good gpu

    I'm not buying a *70 card ever again, let alone an Nvidia card....

    What if you look at the 4070 ti super as a more futureproof card? Like in 3 to 4 years when you will definitely have to start tweaking settings, DLSS would beat FSR and the 16gb VRAM could handle all of this gen? I also play on a big tv and 4k DLSS quality is excellent even on performance the games still look good.

    • @systemBuilder
      @systemBuilder 6 месяцев назад

      Then obviously the 7900xt would be even more future-proof, with 4GB extra RAM and 10 extra fps, and future YOU will need cashfor a GPU upgrade, saving $80-$90 on the 7900xt will buy a future card, sooner.

      But people say DLSS is far superior and many games will need it.
      I can see the appeal of the 4070 Ti Super.

      @@KamleshMallick I hope you enjoy your pretend pixels (upscaling) with your pretend colors (texture compression) and your pretend frames (frame generation), with your video card which has pretend performance. Or you can just pay a few bucks less and get 10-15% more REAL performance from a company that DOES NOT pretend - AMD !!

      If I was shopping for a gpu in this tier the rx 7900 xt would be my pic, no doubt about it.
      Sorry Nvidia, you lost this fight.
