12gb vram is more than enough for 1440p 120fps gaming on ultra and if you want ray tracing and path tracing get 4080super You say "7900gre is better cause of 16gb vram" What is the point of 16gb vram when you barley run ray tracing let alone 4k At 1440p ultra 12gb vram is enough 1440p ray tracing 16gb vram is enough (4080 super or maybe 4070ti super) 4k ultra 16gb ram (4080 super or higher) 4k ultra path tracing (4090) But for 7900gre and 7900xtx and 7900xt they have more than what they need unless you keep your gpu for 7 years

Dude the 4070 super is garbage if you have to use dlss or any kind of upscaling and fake frame generation garbage your card is shit and no amount of coping is going to save it, im sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it's just the reality that people need to understand also paying over 1000 AUD for a 70 series card is straight up daylight robbery

My AP201 build is completely quiet with thermal limit set at 75° and fan speeds locked at 30%. Love it

The big question for a lot of people is “will an Arctic Liquid Freezer II or III 360mm AIO fit in this case?” and I can confirm that the answer is “yes it will” if you have the PSU on the lowest position. It will fit with either the pump tubes above the PSU or the other way round with the tubes next to the exhaust fan. Slightly tight fit, but it works

No it's not a bad idea. I plan to live in a motorhome and do a full solar setup with inverter and batteries that will last 12 hours and do around 800w solar charging. All I'll have to do is take a break from gaming every few days or run a generator once a week or so. New ryzen cpus come out with 65w. Oh right yeah and I'll be running it all through my UPS power backup to regulate it. Any sudden loss of voltage/amp or wattage spike and the power backup will kick on, so I can keep on gaming for another 20 minutes.

I wonder how well a tuned 8700G pc would stack up against this. A shame the silicon costs so much

This is an amazing build! Power efficiency is always a worthwhile goal. But here me out: If ONE solar panel, why not TWO solar panel?

I had a pc that had a 5600g and rx6600, both stock and with 2 new 1080p monitors the total system power + monitors and peripherals was around 130W at full load. Couldnt believe it for the performance. If you want to do solar just build a low end pc like yours or mine and just add another panel rather than scraping for every watt. Alternatively a laptop would give better performance at that amount of power too

So the 4070S is the new 1080ti. Nvidia does this once a decade, it's like their spreadsheets fail and give us massive performance we were never intended to get for such a low price.

It's not cpu bottleneck, it's something with nvidia optimisation i think, try and AMD GPU it'll sit at 99%, 14700k is a beast.

I think the rtx 4070 super is decent but not better than the 7800 XTX or the rx 7900 GRE mostly because of the price for perfomance

I'll stick to keeping my 24gb of Ram 😂. 3090 still goated. If youre gonna game this generation you better get the highest end and the best price or buy the budget card with plenty VRAM. Buying anything in the middle is a sure fire way to get fucked over. Division 2 is several years and it uses 14gb of ram at max. 12 is nowhere near enough. 16 is the bare minimum. Either go AMD or get a 90 series gpu for as cheap as possible.

if you're playing at 4k, yes 12gb is needed. if youre playing at 1080p or 1440p 8gb is more than enough. I don't play with path tracing, but i do play with near-max and rtx on with a 2070S in cyberpunk 1440p and its below 8gb in majority of parts in the city. also in some places 4070ti is cheaper than 4070super still, so its better to buy the ti.
