MY GOD the sheer amount of KNOWLEDGE in this video is astounding! How is it even possible for someone to be so hilarious and so smart at the same time?!?!
Just to let you know I have the same motor and the four bolt holding in the exhaust pipe to the exhaust manifold will vibrate out in less you have a exhaust mount under the pipe It’s a two piece mount so make sure you have both pieces in there
@@reed.k.h yeah it took me for ever to figure out. I tried red loctite on the lm and they still wiggled out and water filled up the bottom of the jet ski
Hilarious video. The dark piston tops actually indicate a lean condition. When the engine is rich the piston tops will be clean near the it wor ports, this is called “piston wash.” You want some piston wash.
Bro buy Toys like this, fix them up, and you are likely to grow in the ranks of youtubers. Commentary is funny af and enjoy learning new things too and watching things be fixed.
That’s a thorough refurb! That takes a lot of patience, especially with such a thoroughly dirty machine. I especially enjoyed the part where you put the stuff on the engine and the stuff didn’t come off so you put the other stuff on the engine and the stuff still didn’t really come off and now I don’t even know what to think. Looking forward to summer when you will venture out to the islands with me and my canoe in tow.
Well you know what they say, sometimes stuff comes off and other times it doesn't. It will just require an extra thick coating of paint. I'll gladly tow you out to the islands, as long as you serenade me with rousing sea shanties in a cappella.
You edited out the most best and satisfying parts of a rebuild video! Pressure washing, wire replacements, hose replacements, etc etc... all you did was show us a photo album. Ughh
I’ve got a question. Have you replaced to oil on it yet? If so do you have to drain it from the back by the impeller or is that just the gear oil? Or is it the same?
Check out Part 4! The oil in the impeller cone is gear oil for lubricating the impeller bearings, different from the injection oil that lubricates the engine. The injection oil tank is the small one on top of the gas tank.
@@reed.k.h so where does that mean the drain plug for the injection oil for an oil change? Because I took off the cone thinking all that oil was injection oil and not filling it back up with gear oil, instead I just filled it up with injection oil.
@@crankitup9904 There's no drain plug for the injection oil. You just have to pull one of the hoses off the bottom of the tank and try to catch all the oil as it drains. It's not designed to be changed, just topped off as it's burned in the engine. BUT if the ski has been sitting for a long time or you know the oil somehow got dirty, definitely change it.
My god you are gold sir!! Came here for insights for working on my own old seadoo but gave up on it, its at the shop now. I was wondering though, are you a mechanic by trade or just a hobby?

I was literally thinking the same thing! Glad someone else is a fan
I came here for guidance on how to rebuild my own sea doo. I left laughing my ass off. Thank you sir.
I may not be able to provide any guidance, but at least I can provide some mediocre humor.
The best humour 😂
Ok, but let's be honest here that carb montage was dope.

I'm glad someone knows what they're talking about. Why would a lean condition leave carbon buildup?
Ill never stop watching these great videos
Never? Damn, you're dedicated
Dedication that spilled over into watching you paddle around a pond and oogling moose which got me through lunch and late back to work. 🐌
@@michelangeloficarro8347 Sounds like a well-rounded lunch break.
Im literally in tears right now! Hahaha This is gold !! Keep up the great work !
Yeah I cried a little bit while editing this also... wait, what kind of tears did you mean?
Just got yourself a new sub. Awesome editing! Can't wait for part 3.

Can you please do a detailed video regarding the wiring/fuse box rewiring.
That will be coming in Part 3!
"Empty Nip Receptacle's" FUNNY....I look foward to the rest of the rebuild series.
It only gets weirder.

Mechanic might be a strong word. I take things apart and put them back together as a hobby.
You have the jokes of a dad that just found what memes are
What's a meme?
Oof sent to FullBore.. Do you have your cylinders back yet?
Haha I learned my lesson... got 'em back after 6 months.
KobraHamson Did they actually do the work?
@BellyUpFish Yep, it was actually a quality boring/honing job, if you don’t mind waiting half a year for a job that takes an hour.
KobraHamson Wow. I know a guy who has been waiting 11 months.. 😆 Still has nothing back.
I have heard when they show back up it’s quality work.
