asi es como se deberia ver el futuro tal cual se lo imagino en los 80s

Because it's an 800V battery and they have to do some things to charge on the 250KW chargers, the sweet spot is to charge up to 65-70% there from low. Ryan Shaw charged 2-50% in 19 min, 10-70% in 30min, he did a vid and posted results, but after 65-70%, the charge rate severely drops off. Unless you have home charging, I'd charge to 65% and go on road.

Good point! And yeah I normally charge at home on the driveway which makes local Bay Area commuting a breeze.

800V charges fine, it’s just that for technical reasons it may not be as fast as optional. I’ve got a Kia with an 800V system and I have had no major problems with compatibility.

@@hugegamer5988 I think the cybertruck splits the battery to work with weaker chargers than V4. Think there are different approaches and consequences.

Thanks for the review. Light show impressive! Who do you think will be buying the Cybertruck? Seems it can do a few things well. If can add 6th seat in after market, will be popular.

Honestly I think it'll be an eclectic group of buyers and with limited initial production there'll be a lot of Tesla fans just wanting something distinctive that makes a statement. The roomier interior is nice although like you say, a third seat upfront could really help with family appeal. It's working truck credentials seem to be as good if not a little better than any other out there but it's still not that affordable for the masses so maybe just one for the flashy contractors. I'm still down and with a 80k price tag and a federal tax credit it will be very appealing!

@@bayareabrit yeah. Good point. I'll be buying used one one day. People that can expense it can afford it, so wonder if contractors and commercial types buy it. Quite the amazing vehicle it appears.

Haha, I'm a Bay Area transplant from the UK so I have a somewhat Americanized British accent, it reverts a little when I travel back to the UK!

It's difficult to say right now, the website says "Delivery in 2024" for some models but with a massive backlog of orders from when it was first announced it's hard to see how that could be true. There are reported to be between 1-2 million pre-orders, many of those will cancel as the price is significantly more than when it was announced. With a production capacity of around 125,000 at the Austin factory, it'll still likely take a few years to clear the backlog of existing orders to reach new orders... So if you order today, maybe in a couple of years if you're lucky?

Betteridge says no. Hauling range is terrible, trunk access is terrible even if 2k lbs is a plus you’ll never fit it in that tiny bed which is also too small for a work truck. The bare stainless needs constant attention or it permanently stains and is high maintenance or it looks god awful which is not a customer friendly appearance. Basically it sucks as a work truck.
