Geesh, I am not a ford fan but the lightning just seems more useful by every mesure!
As a truck, it’s awesome!
The Rivian has a faster charging rate, tows the same and can go further than f150 on the same charge and tire type.
they made the lightning in a way to not scare away current f150 owners. it was done to ease in new owners by keeping things familiar... baby steps
I went from a Prius, to a model 3, to a Lightning. Ford did an excellent job on this electric truck.
All cool..But Ford F-150 Lightning for sure !
It’s a great truck!
Lmao, no
@@doctorfreshif you’re a truck guy you are definitely picking the lightning. The cyber truck is bay far the worst truck by a landslide, rivian is pretty decent though. I’ve owned trucks all of my life and the cyber truck bed design makes it super useless as a truck compared to a regular bed design.
@@alexgarcia3900 I have all kind of trucks in my life, from standard cab rwd s10s all the way to my last one I got rid of being Sierra AT4. My cybertruck is slated for delivery this summer and I can say without a shadow of a doubt the cybertuck is the best choice. I looked at a lightning, and its a pile of dogshit
Not even close, as far as function, f150 by a mile.
Lighting all day for utility and price. Rivian for swagger and cleverness.
Interesting way to put it!
Tesla is the only EV can actually produce and scale an EV besides BYD (China) who isn't here yet. Rivian and Ford Chevy all lose money every unit they make its over Tesla owns this market and should. I drive a Cummins diesel but for an EV one would be nuts to go against Tesla ! Try charging a Lyric or a hummer EV good luck
All that swagger and cleverness cost Rivian a lot of money per truck sold.
@@nguyep4 no lies detected
@user-fi5jl1yy4g
??? This video is about three different videos. The CT looks ridiculous in comparison to the Lightning and Rivian.
Thank you sharing. I knew the cyber truck and Rivian were cook, but I'm very impressed with the Ford
Thanks for watching!
You could have easily picked which one owned a Ford F150 just by looking at him lol
🤔
I couldn’t tell? Please elaborate. 🍿
The F 150 tee shirt was a bit of a give away
Do I look like an F150 Lightning owner?
@@NicholasMarcelin 🤣
Those Lightening bottle openers are a good way to dump your drinks out in the bed. They're mounted way too low. 😂
Good point!
Those are tie down points. The bottle opener is on the tailgate and you get 2 one on the right and left.
@@saewatkao I didn’t even know I had bottle openers 🤣
They actually hooks for strapping and that kind of stuff u will never see a bottle opener put sideways 😅
I haven't used a bottle opener in 15 years lol also not having a glove compartment really kind of sucks I feel like that's an underrated problem
Why anyone would choose the cybertruck over the other two is beyond me.
Some people like the look
Cybertruck (beast) is faster/more powerful , higher payload, CT can tow more than Rivian , self driving, adjustable ride height (NA on F150), tighter turning radius (w/4-wheel steering), better charging network (at the moment), stainless exterior more durable, larger/more lockable cargo space, etc just to name a few.
Self driving??😂
@shawnstuckey2461 you must confused it with a waymo 😁😁🤦🤦
So most everything is beyond you.
I picked up the F-150 XLT Lightning for $55k and am very satisfied. Tons of space and no gas stations or oil changes ever 👍
Yeah Lightning for me. Love the frunk and cab / back seat size. Two kids and a dog going back there!
Great choice!
Lightning seems the most functional
Too many problems. Good luck finding a charging station...
@@dontrustwhiteyevery1 do you or did you have one?
@@dontrustwhiteyevery1 Tesla superchargers :)
Thanks for sharing. Own the Rivian but love the CT and the Lightening.
Same 💯
Same, Love my Rivian but super curious on how the cybertruck compares. For now everyone says it's much noisier inside then a Rivian. Not sure I would enjoy that, motor noise it's quite noticeable.
Rivian is wonderful, enjoy your trucks! I'm hoping to afford one in the future.
@@mrb2349 R1T just got a lot cheaper plus R2 around the corner unveil march 7
I’m massive Tesla fan but these trucks are incredible so many pros and cons on each one. Such a hard choice. If I was to get any none Tesla ones I’d wait for the NACS charger. Teslas tech, rivian styling, fords conventional styling, frunk and massive discounts are their strengths.
Agreed!
i own tesla more than 3 years.
You will start hating it when your battery starts dying and they will ask you to pay 30k to replace at minimum
@@Masks_alot I don’t know anyone who has a Tesla with battery issues. Also no one will charge you 30k for new battery. Only thing you did is tell us you don’t own a Tesla and have no clue what you’re talking about.
actually you are incorrect.
I do own tesla and the service is charging 20K to replace my model 3 battery. and I am assuming for cybertruck it wil be eveni more.
I put 90k miles on it, but the range from 260miles went down to 160 miles
I dont need anything to prove you, but if you own it you will remember me later 😮
and this not just tesla all ev cars.
But the issue is the tesla rejecting to service my car , it is still under 100k -warranty.
so it is up to you to believe me or not.
actually there is a class actuon lawsuit against tesla.
@Masks_alot You super charged every day all the time. If you "super" charge anything every single day, the battery will take a 💩.
I've owned many full-size trucks in the past, including an F-150, a Raptor, and many Silverados. Ford did an excellent job with the Lightning at bringing the F-150 awesomeness to the EV space. I currently own an R1T, and it's like owning a sports car/drag car/off-roader/pickup truck all in one vehicle. It is not an F-150, but it's still pretty functional, and really, there is nothing currently in the marketplace like it, EV or ICE. The CT might be in my future; I don't know. It would have been more impressive if it had come to the marketplace a few years ago. Due to my reservation status, I don't have to decide for a few years, which is good because I think Tesla still needs a little time to get everything perfect. Lastly, I also imagine the next generation of Lightning will be amazing.
Agree with this!
Ditto, but as for service.... Rivian has fixed and resolved practically everything, but I hear horror stories about ford electronics and leaving owners hanging with huge bills and expenses
F-150 if I needed a work truck. Rivian if I wanted a daily driving hauler. CT... saw one in Santa Clara and my wife said... how can a new car looked so old!
The Cybertruck does look unique though!
If going from an ICE truck to an EV truck, and really need the vehicle to do normal truck stuff, then the Lightning gives by far the most space and utility. Ability to have a topper and an included full size spare. The other two are for people who want a cool vehicle but really don't need most of what a PU does best.
True 💯
You will be sorry.
Almost guaranteed rivian and cyber truck owners aren't previous truck owners.
The Ford, hands down, and I'm a Tesla entheusiast.
A lot of people agree!
CT frunk is smaller due to them moving the cab forward to allow for a longer bed! I'll take that over a bigger frunk and i HATE buttons. But that Rivian interior I like ALOT. All 3 great trucks
True
The CT has a bed that is narrower than the Fords and only 6" longer... yet the Ford has a massive frunk while the CT has basically nothing for a frunk.
Buttons are the way to go... instead of driving down the road constantly swiping a touchscreen like a jr high school girl. 😅
Having a large frunk allows you to store all your tools (charging them at the same time). This allows you to keep your bed empty to haul materials. I'll take that everyday of the week over gaining a measly 6 inches of length. Add in the fact that the reason the CT has no wheel wells is because the bed is narrower defeats any gain on bed size. I also prefer to have buttons for critical functions. The lightning screen allows you to control every function so if you don't want to use buttons you can ignore them and do everything on the screen. In other words the Lightning gives you the choice. I really hope they keep that method in the future.
Lightning also has bottle openers on each side of the tailgate. Can be used as tie downs as well.
And come included without having to pay extra
We mention the Lightning bottle openers too
@@ChargeGo you did! but i’m talking about the ones on the actual tailgate. not in the corners of the bed.
Oh that’s what those are!!
Great breakdown. 3 great trucks. Cool different.
Glad you liked it!
@@ChargeGo only missing the convoy! Rubber Duck, we've got 3 EV trucks..
Ima frunker! I frunking love the Lightning Frunk!
It’s awesome!
Frunker 😂
Hmmm, As a homeowner…Rivian , Ford, Tesla…if for work, Ford, Rivian, Tesla. Don’t see the buzz over the CT
Solid choices
Just as others don't see the buzz in Rivian or Lightning, if the pros and cons of each are unimportant. CT has that unique look and built that people love and others hate.
I like the red on the Cyber truck saves on staining and rust on the basic silver finish
Nice video guys! All great trucks! Great video
Thanks for watching!
Gotta compare software. Super important in an EV.
Video on that coming soon!
F-150 frunk is like a work bench
Lol
This was a great video. Thank you.
If true that the Cybertruck only accommodates rear seat passengers up to 6.0’ or 6’2”, that’s a big limitation. Lots of guys taller than 6’2” ride around in crew-cab trucks. I’m 6’5”.
The front seats are more comfortable for taller people
6'5"? Share a couple of inches lol.
Each truck is impressive. If the Rivian and Lightning had NACS (which they should get next year) and FSD, I would definitely cross-shop them. But for features previously mentioned, it will be the Cybertruck for me.
Supposed to in a month or two for GM and Ford (with an adapter).
A lot of people agree with you!
I’d still take the Rivian even without.
None of the vehicles shown have here have "full self driving"
I've only sat in a rivian r1s for about 10 minutes, but I'd love to have one..
They are really nice!
Beautiful trucks. I love all. Ford for me.
Solid choice 👍
CT will be my next. I owned a model 3 LR since 2020, now with 126K miles abused daily to work and still going with no issues, performs like when it was new >>SoCalpinoy
cyber truck bed, rivian spare and quick access storage with lightning interior and frunk would be the perfect truck. if it just so happened to look like a cyber truck so I could wrap it to look like a Halo warthog mixed with a wolverine that would be nice lol.
All 3 are great. F150 wins for work truck. Cybertrukk for personal driver IMO
Can’t go wrong with any of them!
Why does the f150 wins for work?
It will have more recalls keeping you from work and adding frustration. More shit that will break like buttons and other useless stuff. It has less range. It has a shorter bed. Way longer turn radius. You can barley charge anywhere or charge ports are nit working or occupied.
With the f150 losing 30K per vehicle produced means it is not sustainable for ford to continue. Which means you are left with a vehicle that will be a pain to get repaired.
When you get a flat tire in the ford with the bed loaded, youre not screwed
Awesome Video! Thanks for sharing. Posting on my EV Truck Facebook group.
Glad you liked it! Can we get a link to the Facebook group?
@@ChargeGo I added the link but it doesn’t show up. I think you need to approve it. But I gave you the link to the post of your video. Here’s the direct link to the group.
Just need the Hummer EV and the collection is complete!
Yup, but that thing is so expensive 😅
The Hummer EV is the flagship of how not to build an EV😂
Hummer EV beats all
@@SURVIVE-THE-STORM overpriced brick with wheels and a battery
The lack of wheel humps doesn't make Cybertruck bed wider but narrower. The wheels are still there, just the whole bed was make narrower to fit them, not just the area above the wheels.
Plus it is only 6ft at the base and then angles up so it's not a proper 6ft bed. You can tell just by looking at them the lightning has the actual bigger bed.
@@Cornelius87 Yes, it is 5 feet from the base of the rear window to the tailgate. That is the real usable length for most objects you would carry. Only something thin and flat, like plywood, would let you use the full 6 feet.
Good point
I just love the Cybertruck due to its uniqueness and it’s Tesla. Awesome charging infrastructure.
If i had the money? I'd buy the Rivian. When they first came out, my reaction was, "Someone designed the perfect vehicle for me" in terms of features.
Maybe the R2 models will be in my price range. Now, to figure out how exactly im going to charge it considering I park on the opposite side of the street from my house, and that is if I can get parking on my street.
Charging infrastructure is key indeed
Good video! Thanks! And enjoying some of the comments too :))
Thanks for watching!
Clearly all three are very compelling (as a long term EV owner I expected that) what I’d would have like to have heard is the owners thoughts/comparisons to ICE trucks they’d owned previously (guessing that might only be the F150 guy).
By the way, never understood why Ford keeps using F150 name for everything, surely E150 would have been ideal here?
E-150 would have been a cool name!
E150 were the old ford vans before they became known as transit.
The CT bed is 6’ long for a whole 4 inches high. It then angles to 5’6”. Same as F-150.
The Ford F-150 Lightning is the best truck for those that want to use their truck for work because it is the closest to the traditional truck sold today in form and function, with the electrical power transfer and the largest frunk as huge bonus features. The Rivian R1T is the better life style truck, having better off road capability, a more luxurious interior and a longer range. The CyberTruck is the better truck for those that want a flashy lifestyle. It draws attention like nothing else on the road, with its unconventional shape and features. It's the quickest truck if drag racing is your thing and it is a far simpler truck in features and the interior.
The CyberTruck has the smallest battery and shortest range of the three, but has the best charging network, so it is a moot point for now. Once Ford and Rivian get access to the Tesla supercharger network, the playing field will be tilted in their favor. Each of these trucks target a different audience, so they should each sell accordingly.
Agreed 💯
Great video about the good and almost “bad” when comparing the trucks. Would be great to hear about the “ugly” (what you don’t like) per each owner’s experience.
How do you see your rear end on a cybertruck?
Ford F-150 Lightning for sure !
It’s a great truck!
Ford really hit this one out of the ballpark. Amazing with all the designs and functions. My first impression was that Ford would be boring, but this really changed my mind.
Rivian ❤
It's great!
Thanks guys
Of course!
I have the f150 lightning but i would drive/own all of these. I can't even imagine the tri motor cybertruck power if the dual motor matches the lightning.
One of these companies needs to colaborate with the other to make the perfect EV truck
You’re on to something 👀
One of these companies will be selling the most EV truck.
@@nguyep4 it’s not going to be Tesla
@lrod8692 Only one company has proven to know how to drive costs down and scaling. But believe what you must, it doesn't change the most likely outcome.
11:24 "This truck needs no introduction"
Classic Dennis ✌️
The rivian is a great design, I have a CT on order since 12/2020 confirmed 🤞
I think you three should do some more videos together, road trip ect. 👍
I agree 👀 @DennisCW
I hate the lack of a screen directly in front of the driver on the cybertruck
Me too
Great comparison. Correction for the F-150...the bottle opener is actually on the side of the tailgate.
Thanks for the correction!
The 3 people match their trucks very well
Nice job guys. I will take the Rivian R1T but I like all three.
Great choice!
Fuck yeah! Rivian has a flashlight and a portable speaker! I'm headed out right now to buy me a F'in' Rivian!
I’m a Cybertruck reservation holder but it does lack in many things
Unfortunately yes
@@ChargeGo still an awesome vehicle
What is missing?
@@bartdeking Spare tire, range, the price they initially said, power in the frunk, a camera in the rear mirror would've been nice, etc. I am probably still getting it, but the competitors are still nice cars. More now than ever that superchargers are going to be available to them.
@@Balo1997 I can see a bit of the disappointment. At the same time I think that the range will improve over time. Also the out of spec review is misleading in case you might use this test in your consideration. It was done at 38-45F and mostly around 42F. A lot lower than the rivian and also way lower than EPA highway test spec at 67-76F. Also it was done at 700ft instead of the rivian and f150 test at 400ft. Bot will add 20% range extra easily. So from an efficiency and range perspective I am confident that the cybertruck will outperform both trucks easily in a side by side test.
Also if you do drive it at 60mph you will also gain a huge amount of range.
With the range extender you will get the 500 mile with software updates and mirror removal when this gets approved.
You should ask yourself the question how often you drive more than 300 mile though or how often you need to tow more than 200 mile.
I expected a spare tyre as well. The tyre in the bed is not really nice.
I am sure that it will be the most durable truck you can find and also the one with the least amount of bells and whistles that can brake.
Out of interest why would you want power outlets in the frunk?
Dennis miss the glove compartment all the cybertruck
😅
You need the 6-foot bed to get the section 179 deduction. Why do you need a shifter on the Ford? I like the flat surface with it folded. The wheel housings don't take up space- you can put a carpet kit over them and still fit a 4-foot wide stack of sheet rock between them.
Didn’t know about the Section 179 deduction rule!
How about the cybertruck cooler for drinks in the bed of the cybertruck
RIVIAN R1T 🔥🔥🔥
It’s awesome!
Rivian has a super nice luxurious interior and cool factor. Ford has the best usable, functional and best overall truck. The cyber truck is a very cool car and massive power
The ct its just unique one of a kind, the lighting is for work and the rivian is like a ridgeline very fancy interior
The under seat storage in the rivian is like the tacoma
True
Bed dimensions between the Cybertruck and F-150 Lightning are actually surprisingly similar, despite how different they look. Width between wheel humps is the same; it looks like the Cybertruck has no wheel humps, but it does slope and if you measure at the floor between the narrow points, it's almost exactly the same between Cybertruck and F-150. Speaking of slopes, the 6 foot bed length on the Cybertruck is only when measuring again at the floor, as the cab back slopes outward into the bed. At the top, it's only around 5 1/2 feet very similar to the F-150 again. However, the 6 foot at the floor would be nice if just hauling a small number of 6 foot sheets of drywall or 6 foot lumber. I know these measurements for comparison because I own an F-150 Lightning and have measured it, and I watched a JerryRigEverything video where he showed a bunch of bed measurements on the Cybertruck. The only thing I don't know is if there is a depth/height difference, though it's hard to say how to measure that on the Cybertruck since it has the sloped sides.
all great trucks , guess time will tell which one will be the best choice ,
Yup!
Not a truck guy but I was hoping the Cybertruck was a clear home run in all use cases. I guess it’s still a win as all three owners (one hesitated based on cost) chose a Cybertruck. It’s good to have choices in the EV truck space.
The more choices, the better!
They all want to be noticed for their own reason so it makes sense. The Cybertruck is faster than the SR so it makes sense why he would move. The Rivian is tiny so again Cybertruck makes sense. just because its Fast doesnt make it the ”best truck in the game”
CT deposit holder here that is finding CT so far coming up short. Shortest range, no spare, smaller bed than promised. Unlike the Lightning, frunk doesn't at all compensate for smaller bed. Cool and different but not really optimal for use as a truck. Add a spare and the range extender, and the little frunk is the only space left. So far, pass.
@@bkanegson Tesla can do a lot better, but with people buying this mediocre product they won’t. It’s important to not fall into the Hype because it’s the latest
@@lrod8692 Being noticed is exactly the reason. Right now because it's new, you will get your fix of attention but after a couple of years when its common and no one cares anymore, you will be left with all its shortfalls. Moral of the storey, Don't buy your truck based on attention. If attention is all you need, just go into your local bar and buy everyone a round of drinks. It will save you a ton of money.
Rivian they are the best I have one ...
Awesome guys! Thanks 👍👍👍 for me:
#1 CT
#2 F-150
#3 R1T
All great!
Cybertruck is terrible
I say it on every single comparison video out there, the Ford Lightning is the more bang for your buck, I have no doubt now. The cheaper, more practical and feels like a real truck of all 3, but others like more attention so of course will pick Cybertruck.
Red is a crazy color 😅
What about the price comparisons.
I'd take the Rivian for sure.
The "bottle opener" shown on the f150 is a tie-down point, not a bottle opener. But the lightning DOES have a bottle opener, it's on the side of the tailgate itself, not in the box.
Didn't they say there was going to be an automated ramp in the bed as well?
Yup they did!
Lightning para mi la amo ❤
Got a Cybertruck on order.
Nice!
KABOOM..Fast charging generally tends to reduce a battery's life quicker than slow charging, so repeated usage of this technology may not be good for the battery's health. As a consequence, users may have to replace the battery pack sooner than those who primarily use slow charging.
True
For now I have to say Rivian. Sti beats everything on specs. Beast not available intel q3-q4. I had f150 lighting and I compare my Rivian and f150 to decide which one I will keep. I ended up keeping the rivian. Now I'm getting dual motor cybertruck and will do the same. Something tells me Rivian will be a winner again.
Great perspective!
@@ChargeGo Thanks! I was typing fast and now I'm noticing all of my typos. Haha. One huge benefit to go with the Rivian vs Tesla and Ford is customer service and support. I can't say enough how impressed Im with their team. Have you ever tried calling Tesla for anything other than buying a new car and received excellent support? 😅 It's important for long term ownership, some things don't just apply to service visits. Love your videos if you guys want to see what I do next with my Rivian I'll appreciate a subscription. 🙏🏼
Great Video. All three are fantastic trucks
Thank you!
F150 for everyday use. Rivian for driving dynamics. Cybertruck for being looked at…and laughed at.
Awww yEA!
⚡️😎
Rivian is the best daily driver. It looks like German car interior quality mixed with sport car performance and a Tacoma size and off road oriented.
All great. I’m liking the Ford most.
All three are great!
Tesla definitely dropped the ball with the frunk
Yup
Rivian, Why is the stock price broken?
as a person that sees trucks like mom minivans for teh billys, there is only ONE truck that will get my money. Seeing the cybertruck inn person, all I have to say is WOW!! cant wait for mines!!
Hope you get it soon!
Lightening for looks and frunk/interior space. Cybertruck for Tesla monitor and software.
Interesting perspective!
The three amigos win.
I’m on my second R1T (flipped my first one), had a lightning (range was horrible and returned it), I have two cyber trucks on order from the beginning. I’ve had Tesla x, y and s and the technology is amazing. I’m debating whether to go through with the Ct order. I have not seen one in person and they look ugly to me online. I know insurance on my previous Teslas are much higher than my Rivian and I’m afraid of what the Ct insurance will cost. I know I won’t choose the cyber beast over the dual motor (not worth the cost and range) I’ve had the plaid s and once you experience that nothing else compares. I was excited about the Ct when I ordered it but not so much now. It’s just so ugly and expensive but once my name is called I’ll probably go through with it!
Strange... All the reviews I've seen say the lightning and Rivian's range and efficiency are very close to each other.
Ford is the most practical, Rivian the nicest and Tesla? Perhaps performance on-road but nothing more.
Interesting perspective
Why so wet in the bed of the Rivian?
All Three companies need to get together and make one good ev truck.
Excellent breakdown, which one is 9mm bullet proof, 0-60 in 4 secs, 6 ft of water emersion driving, Summoning capabilities, 100% smartphone key & functionality?! All nice, but with the infrastructure going to Tesla- give me the Cybertruck ALLLLL DAY!
The Cybertruck does have the best tech, for now at least
All 3 will be on Tesla charging network this year.
So, you don’t like 0-60 in 3 sec? You prefer 4?
Tesla wins in the “ gee wiz Wow” factor department. Rivian is very nice and love the tunnel but for an overall best pickup truck Ford F-150 wins hands down!
As a true pickup truck, the Ford is ahead for sure!
Why would anyone get a standard range Lariat? I’d rather get an extended range XLT or even better, the unicorn extended range Pro. I love the color scheme and racing stripes on this Lightning though.
🤷♂️
Its only 30% more range. I have the standard range and have never went under 50% range. For daily driving you dont need much.
I have other vehicles for trips as i never drive my truck for trips.
@@ryanwalters6184 I have the standard range and it’s not a problem for my commute but if I could afford an extended range or a Lariat, I’d definitely get the ER. I have an old retired Tacoma but that’s not a trip vehicle. I could still do trips on the standard range if my passengers have the patience because it is a very roomy and comfortable vehicle 😊. If I ever win the lottery I’m trading in for the extended range and getting a hybrid Maverick 💙.
I prefer The Ford Lightning Because I'm too Big for small Trucks!
Taking the f150!
Solid choice for sure!
I’m going with Rivian but wish the interior was as large as Ford and did AppleCar Play
Agreed!
