I currently own an R1T, and it's like owning a sports car/drag car/off-roader/pickup truck all in one vehicle. It is not an F-150, but it's still pretty functional, and really, there is nothing currently in the marketplace like it, EV or ICE. The CT might be in my future; I don't know. F-150 if I needed a work truck. Rivian if I wanted a daily driving hauler. CT... saw one in Santa Clara and my wife said... how can a new car looked so old!
CT frunk is smaller due to them moving the cab forward to allow for a longer bed! I'll take that over a bigger frunk and i HATE buttons. But that Rivian interior I like ALOT. All 3 great trucks

Having a large frunk allows you to store all your tools (charging them at the same time). This allows you to keep your bed empty to haul materials. I'll take that everyday of the week over gaining a measly 6 inches of length. Add in the fact that the reason the CT has no wheel wells is because the bed is narrower defeats any gain on bed size. I also prefer to have buttons for critical functions. The lightning screen allows you to control every function so if you don't want to use buttons you can ignore them and do everything on the screen. In other words the Lightning gives you the choice. I really hope they keep that method in the future.
Cybertruck (beast) is faster/more powerful , higher payload, CT can tow more than Rivian , self driving, adjustable ride height (NA on F150), tighter turning radius (w/4-wheel steering), better charging network (at the moment), stainless exterior more durable, larger/more lockable cargo space, etc just to name a few.
If going from an ICE truck to an EV truck, and really need the vehicle to do normal truck stuff, then the Lightning gives by far the most space and utility. The lack of wheel humps doesn't make Cybertruck bed wider but narrower. The wheels are still there, just the whole bed was make narrower to fit them, not just the area above the wheels.
Plus it is only 6ft at the base and then angles up so it's not a proper 6ft bed. You can tell just by looking at them the lightning has the actual bigger bed.
@@Cornelius87 Yes, it is 5 feet from the base of the rear window to the tailgate. That is the real usable length for most objects you would carry. Only something thin and flat, like plywood, would let you use the full 6 feet.

By the way, never understood why Ford keeps using F150 name for everything, surely E150 would have been ideal here?

Rivian has a super nice luxurious interior and cool factor. Ford has the best usable, functional and best overall truck. The cyber truck is a very cool car and massive power
Why does the f150 wins for work? It will have more recalls keeping you from work and adding frustration. More shit that will break like buttons and other useless stuff. It has less range. It has a shorter bed. Way longer turn radius. You can barley charge anywhere or charge ports are nit working or occupied. With the f150 losing 30K per vehicle produced means it is not sustainable for ford to continue. Which means you are left with a vehicle that will be a pain to get repaired.
11:24 "This truck needs no introduction" Classic Dennis ✌️ The rivian is a great design, I have a CT on order since 12/2020 confirmed 🤞 I think you three should do some more videos together, road trip ect. 👍
@lrod8692 Only one company has proven to know how to drive costs down and scaling. But believe what you must, it doesn't change the most likely outcome.
Ford really hit this one out of the ballpark. Amazing with all the designs and functions. My first impression was that Ford would be boring, but this really changed my mind.
I have the f150 lightning but i would drive/own all of these. I can't even imagine the tri motor cybertruck power if the dual motor matches the lightning.
Bed dimensions between the Cybertruck and F-150 Lightning are actually surprisingly similar, despite how different they look. Width between wheel humps is the same; it looks like the Cybertruck has no wheel humps, but it does slope and if you measure at the floor between the narrow points, it's almost exactly the same between Cybertruck and F-150. Speaking of slopes, the 6 foot bed length on the Cybertruck is only when measuring again at the floor, as the cab back slopes outward into the bed. At the top, it's only around 5 1/2 feet very similar to the F-150 again. However, the 6 foot at the floor would be nice if just hauling a small number of 6 foot sheets of drywall or 6 foot lumber. I know these measurements for comparison because I own an F-150 Lightning and have measured it, and I watched a JerryRigEverything video where he showed a bunch of bed measurements on the Cybertruck. The only thing I don't know is if there is a depth/height difference, though it's hard to say how to measure that on the Cybertruck since it has the sloped sides.
The Ford F-150 Lightning is the best truck for those that want to use their truck for work because it is the closest to the traditional truck sold today in form and function, with the electrical power transfer and the largest frunk as huge bonus features. The Rivian R1T is the better life style truck, having better off road capability, a more luxurious interior and a longer range. The CyberTruck is the better truck for those that want a flashy lifestyle. It draws attention like nothing else on the road, with its unconventional shape and features. It's the quickest truck if drag racing is your thing and it is a far simpler truck in features and the interior. The CyberTruck has the smallest battery and shortest range of the three, but has the best charging network, so it is a moot point for now. Once Ford and Rivian get access to the Tesla supercharger network, the playing field will be tilted in their favor. Each of these trucks target a different audience, so they should each sell accordingly.
@@bartdeking Spare tire, range, the price they initially said, power in the frunk, a camera in the rear mirror would've been nice, etc. I am probably still getting it, but the competitors are still nice cars. More now than ever that superchargers are going to be available to them.
@@Balo1997 I can see a bit of the disappointment. At the same time I think that the range will improve over time. Also the out of spec review is misleading in case you might use this test in your consideration. It was done at 38-45F and mostly around 42F. A lot lower than the rivian and also way lower than EPA highway test spec at 67-76F. Also it was done at 700ft instead of the rivian and f150 test at 400ft. Bot will add 20% range extra easily. So from an efficiency and range perspective I am confident that the cybertruck will outperform both trucks easily in a side by side test. Also if you do drive it at 60mph you will also gain a huge amount of range. With the range extender you will get the 500 mile with software updates and mirror removal when this gets approved. You should ask yourself the question how often you drive more than 300 mile though or how often you need to tow more than 200 mile. I expected a spare tyre as well. The tyre in the bed is not really nice. I am sure that it will be the most durable truck you can find and also the one with the least amount of bells and whistles that can brake. Out of interest why would you want power outlets in the frunk?
Excellent breakdown, which one is 9mm bullet proof, 0-60 in 4 secs, 6 ft of water emersion driving, Summoning capabilities, 100% smartphone key & functionality?! All nice, but with the infrastructure going to Tesla- give me the Cybertruck ALLLLL DAY!
I say it on every single comparison video out there, the Ford Lightning is the more bang for your buck, I have no doubt now. The cheaper, more practical and feels like a real truck of all 3, but others like more attention so of course will pick Cybertruck.
Not a truck guy but I was hoping the Cybertruck was a clear home run in all use cases. I guess it’s still a win as all three owners (one hesitated based on cost) chose a Cybertruck. It’s good to have choices in the EV truck space.
They all want to be noticed for their own reason so it makes sense. The Cybertruck is faster than the SR so it makes sense why he would move. The Rivian is tiny so again Cybertruck makes sense. just because its Fast doesnt make it the ”best truck in the game”
CT deposit holder here that is finding CT so far coming up short. Shortest range, no spare, smaller bed than promised. Unlike the Lightning, frunk doesn't at all compensate for smaller bed. Cool and different but not really optimal for use as a truck. Add a spare and the range extender, and the little frunk is the only space left. So far, pass.
@@bkanegson Tesla can do a lot better, but with people buying this mediocre product they won’t. It’s important to not fall into the Hype because it’s the latest
@@lrod8692 Being noticed is exactly the reason. Right now because it's new, you will get your fix of attention but after a couple of years when its common and no one cares anymore, you will be left with all its shortfalls. Moral of the storey, Don't buy your truck based on attention. If attention is all you need, just go into your local bar and buy everyone a round of drinks. It will save you a ton of money.
It's crazy how cheap the cybertruck and Rivian look inside especially center console and bed. The lightning looks so much better and is a real truck. I expected the other 2 to blow them out of the water, and by far the Ford is way better. I'd like to see them load them up with a fridge, washer and dryer, stove etc see how those other 2 impostor trucks handle real truck work, and tow a trailer
KABOOM..Fast charging generally tends to reduce a battery's life quicker than slow charging, so repeated usage of this technology may not be good for the battery's health. As a consequence, users may have to replace the battery pack sooner than those who primarily use slow charging.
Ford used the old body style for the Lighting and It shows. Truck looks dated already. GM did the right thing by making a dedicated EV truck platform. Rivian would have been perfect if it was the size of the F150.
The "bottle opener" shown on the f150 is a tie-down point, not a bottle opener. But the lightning DOES have a bottle opener, it's on the side of the tailgate itself, not in the box.
For now I have to say Rivian. Sti beats everything on specs. Beast not available intel q3-q4. I had f150 lighting and I compare my Rivian and f150 to decide which one I will keep. I ended up keeping the rivian. Now I'm getting dual motor cybertruck and will do the same. Something tells me Rivian will be a winner again.

I think people just want to cyber truck because it’s the newest thing, but the F150 is the best one on the market
This was a great video. Thank you.
11:24 "This truck needs no introduction"
Classic Dennis ✌️
The rivian is a great design, I have a CT on order since 12/2020 confirmed 🤞
I think you three should do some more videos together, road trip ect. 👍
I agree 👀 @DennisCW
Great comparison. Correction for the F-150...the bottle opener is actually on the side of the tailgate.
Thanks for the correction!
The ct its just unique one of a kind, the lighting is for work and the rivian is like a ridgeline very fancy interior
One of these companies needs to colaborate with the other to make the perfect EV truck
You’re on to something 👀
One of these companies will be selling the most EV truck.
@@nguyep4 it’s not going to be Tesla
@lrod8692 Only one company has proven to know how to drive costs down and scaling. But believe what you must, it doesn't change the most likely outcome.
The other guys spent the entire time comparing everything they showed on their trucks to the Cybertruck. Say what you want, but that’s the story.
Ford really hit this one out of the ballpark. Amazing with all the designs and functions. My first impression was that Ford would be boring, but this really changed my mind.
Rivian is the best daily driver. It looks like German car interior quality mixed with sport car performance and a Tacoma size and off road oriented.
I have the f150 lightning but i would drive/own all of these. I can't even imagine the tri motor cybertruck power if the dual motor matches the lightning.
The CT bed is 6’ long for a whole 4 inches high. It then angles to 5’6”. Same as F-150.
How do you see your rear end on a cybertruck?
Rivian ❤
It's great!
Thanks guys
Of course!
Rivian, Why is the stock price broken?
I prefer The Ford Lightning Because I'm too Big for small Trucks!
Good video! Thanks! And enjoying some of the comments too :))
Thanks for watching!
I'd take the Rivian for sure.
The under seat storage in the rivian is like the tacoma
True
Agreed 💯
Dennis miss the glove compartment all the cybertruck
😅
I’m a Cybertruck reservation holder but it does lack in many things
Unfortunately yes
@@ChargeGo still an awesome vehicle
What is missing?
Awesome guys! Thanks 👍👍👍 for me:
#1 CT
#2 F-150
#3 R1T
All great!
Cybertruck is terrible
All Three companies need to get together and make one good ev truck.
--Interior: Ford --Outside: Tesla --Tech: Tesla --Auto Pilot: Tesla
Excellent breakdown, which one is 9mm bullet proof, 0-60 in 4 secs, 6 ft of water emersion driving, Summoning capabilities, 100% smartphone key & functionality?! All nice, but with the infrastructure going to Tesla- give me the Cybertruck ALLLLL DAY!
The Cybertruck does have the best tech, for now at least
All 3 will be on Tesla charging network this year.
So, you don’t like 0-60 in 3 sec? You prefer 4?
F150 for everyday use. Rivian for driving dynamics. Cybertruck for being looked at…and laughed at.
Nice job guys. I will take the Rivian R1T but I like all three.
Great choice!
I say it on every single comparison video out there, the Ford Lightning is the more bang for your buck, I have no doubt now. The cheaper, more practical and feels like a real truck of all 3, but others like more attention so of course will pick Cybertruck.
Red is a crazy color 😅
The three amigos win.
I hate the lack of a screen directly in front of the driver on the cybertruck
Me too
Not a truck guy but I was hoping the Cybertruck was a clear home run in all use cases. I guess it’s still a win as all three owners (one hesitated based on cost) chose a Cybertruck. It’s good to have choices in the EV truck space.
The more choices, the better!
Ford F-150 Lightning for sure !
It’s a great truck!
Maybe because you’re used to old school interior.
all great trucks , guess time will tell which one will be the best choice ,
Yup!
Got a Cybertruck on order.
Nice!
How about the cybertruck cooler for drinks in the bed of the cybertruck
Ford is the most practical, Rivian the nicest and Tesla? Perhaps performance on-road but nothing more.
Interesting perspective
RIVIAN R1T 🔥🔥🔥
It’s awesome!
I will go with the ford F150
KABOOM..Fast charging generally tends to reduce a battery's life quicker than slow charging, so repeated usage of this technology may not be good for the battery's health. As a consequence, users may have to replace the battery pack sooner than those who primarily use slow charging.
True
Ford used the old body style for the Lighting and It shows. Truck looks dated already. GM did the right thing by making a dedicated EV truck platform. Rivian would have been perfect if it was the size of the F150.
Lightning para mi la amo ❤
The "bottle opener" shown on the f150 is a tie-down point, not a bottle opener. But the lightning DOES have a bottle opener, it's on the side of the tailgate itself, not in the box.
Rivian all day !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The ford is the only lumber rack friendly truck of the three.
Great perspective!
@@ChargeGo Thanks! I was typing fast and now I'm noticing all of my typos. Haha. One huge benefit to go with the Rivian vs Tesla and Ford is customer service and support. I can't say enough how impressed Im with their team. Have you ever tried calling Tesla for anything other than buying a new car and received excellent support? 😅 It's important for long term ownership, some things don't just apply to service visits. Love your videos if you guys want to see what I do next with my Rivian I'll appreciate a subscription. 🙏🏼
I’m on my second R1T (flipped my first one), had a lightning (range was horrible and returned it), I have two cyber trucks on order from the beginning. I’ve had Tesla x, y and s and the technology is amazing. I’m debating whether to go through with the Ct order. I have not seen one in person and they look ugly to me online. I know insurance on my previous Teslas are much higher than my Rivian and I’m afraid of what the Ct insurance will cost. I know I won’t choose the cyber beast over the dual motor (not worth the cost and range) I’ve had the plaid s and once you experience that nothing else compares. I was excited about the Ct when I ordered it but not so much now. It’s just so ugly and expensive but once my name is called I’ll probably go through with it!
Strange... All the reviews I've seen say the lightning and Rivian's range and efficiency are very close to each other.
First... I am biased! I have the lightning and believe it is the best electric truck on the market! 2nd... The cybertruck is a joke, and the Rivian is Tiny on the inside. You could offer me the Rivian and the Cybertruck in exchange for my Lightning and I would laugh as I drove away in the lightning!
Why so wet in the bed of the Rivian?
