The Weird Cybertruck bed is actually GREAT for one thing...

- The Cybertruck has a very uniquely shaped truck bed. But we don't judge. Grab your own Taiga Snowmobile HERE: www.taigamotors.com/en/ and use code 'JerryRig' for $500 off. I am a Taiga partner. Today we are trying to fit a Snowmobile in the back of a Tesla Cybertruck, as well as a Ford Lightning and a Rivian R1T. Snow machines are a regular part of life for people who live in the northern states and Canada, and its incredibly cool that the Tesla Cybertruck can charge up the Electric Taiga Nomad while hauling it to and from the mountains. Electric snow machines have no maintenance! The future has arrived!

@@sirdernosoftides8137it sounds like a dick move to say this but its very true.. As beautiful as she is, it doesn't change the fact that, its a full time job to be with someone who has a disability, and the perk of being a youtuber where you get to set your own hours is an amazing perk, i know the difference between working back breaking jobs and being a remote it worker, a youtuber is a whole other deal for the better, but also all the cool toys like that elevator in the house, several companies, a giant and well secured property.. All those things cost a fortune
You can get these plastic ski cover things to keep the skegs from scratching things up. You can also use skegs without carbides if you're always on soft snow. The carbides are for grip on ice.
Good to know!
I removed the carbides and replaced them with mild steel skags on my sleds bc the carbides were ripping up my garage aprons and shop floor. Unless you are running high speeds on hard pack or ice, you don't need carbides. Just be sure to check those runners more often.
@@northdakotaham1752check something more often? No thanks. And why does your garage wear an apron?
@@EikottXD probably to seal it up in cold weather so things inside stay warm? Idk just a thought
@@EikottXD the apron is the slab of concrete that extends out from the garage door about 40 feet. Drive across with carbides and you have two permanent gouges cut into the concrete. IF you replace the carbide runners with mild steel they won't gouge the concrete but you need to check mild steel runners more often bc they wear much faster than carbides.
Someone _finally_ measured the the Cybertruck bed at its various sizes/heights, thank you! AFAIK no other reviewer has done this, at most they measure a single dimension at the bottom of the bed, and rarely the top.
Everyone: Can you just make a long bed pickup?
Electric truck manufacturers: Tailgate is bed!
Everyone: No, it's not.
But they neglected to measure the bed HEIGHT- the second most important dimension for loading/unloading. Ooops!
The things you do for your wife is truly amazing. You one heck of an example to the rest of us. Thank you for your videos!
I love it when you two are in one video, you guys my favourite couple have a long loving life together and have fun
I came to look at a pickup truck, ended up watching something so romantic it made me mist up a little. Actually quite lovely.
This is awesome! The scenery is beautiful! So great to see Cambry again! Did you guys start any new Lego project recently?

The snowmobile sounds like a great idea when you want to be able to listen to nature around you. Maybe for search and rescue purposes it might be advantageous.
Yeah, totally different experience, really fitting!!
I see them being a big hit for use at ski resorts by both ski patrol and snow making crews.
@@AdventuresonTour was thinking the same thing i used to make snow and you could make a lighter one with less range for a ski resort that would work out nicely we never rode more than 5 miles at a time. And it would be nice to not smell gas and fumes all day riding around.
doubt it has purpose for search and rescue given its limited range and maneuverability there is a reason taiga built this style of sled because they could fit enough batteries in it and the weight is fine for trail riding which is about all its suited for.
This video is more deeply awesome than you might realize. Zack, my wife has a disability as well and the life you are carving out for the both of you. Brings an actual tear to my eye. It is so wonderful to see the strides you make for the both of you and your family. Keep being awesome.
Chris
charging the snow mobile while transporting it is next level awesome
Cause that's exactly what electric cars need - something to limit their range even more ;D
I agree!
@@EndriuC it's 23kwh, leaves 100kwh if both fully charged ;)
its nothing awesome because it reduces your range lol!!!

5:44 This SHOT man! WOW! Timelapse with "normal fps" on the subjects, I have to be honest, never seen this before on a youtube video. Loved the video but this part for (as a part-time photographer) just stood out!
I had to go back to see that effect. As I watched it, most of my focus was purely on the two of them and subconsciously my mind had this good vibe about the scene.
@@djkor its soooooo good
One of the best to thing to do as a grown-up man is to reasonably devote our lives and love to our wife, kids and family. You've taken this kindness to another level! :)
Funny how people like to make fun of the Cybertruck for having a short, unusable bed when in reality it's effectively the longest bed of pickups in its class.
Those grooves in the asphalt are crazy! Never knew snowmobiles have something like that
When did truck beds get so small? Those look TINY compared the older trucks I am used to seeing.
The Cybertruck bed is bigger than the most popular trims of the F-150 (and far bigger than the F-150 Lightning bed).
@@ZipZoomZip bigger if you measure in exactly the right places as it's so weirdly shaped it's unusable as a working vehicle. And as @Turnip_ pointed out, these days most people seem to want macho minivans instead of actual trucks in the half-ton market so finding even a short bed (6.5' is a short bed, 8' is a long bed) is tough. The urban soccer moms would rather have a giant cab to haul the kiddies and a tiny bed to make it easier to park while a working man wants the opposite - smaller cab and bigger bed. But hey, the cYbUrTrOk was never intended to be used, it was intended to make a social statement and get attention. For that, it does extremely well.
The Cybertruck bed is a big box with no wheel wells to get in the way. My F-150 has a funny shaped bed, it makes it difficult to stack things like concrete blocks or firewood in it because the huge wheel wells intrude into the box. Cybertruck is shaped more ideally for a work truck compared to my current truck. I can hardly wait to accept delivery in a couple of months!@@donhappel9566
Zack knew what he was doing with the title and thumbnail.
Plausible denialbility. But we both know 😂
😏
So I'm not the only one
😂😂
4:58 😮 why you didn't use this wheels from beginning?
you can't load/unload the truck with them on
Thought the same thing, but then again, It's Zack, there has to be a good reason why he didn't.
Seems like they wouldn't fit. The left ski was against the wall and the right seemed like not much spare space.
This is the video I've been waiting for!!! You're the first to actually take a tape measure to the CT bed, and that's exactly what I needed. I move various types of motorcycles around and can't do the Lightning or Rivian because the beds are too short for the rear axle to land on. Though I was surprised to hear about the front of the bed angling backwards as it comes up. For a motorcycle's front tire, that just trimmed 6" off the usable bed length.... Darn it!
Yeah, for some reason all manufacturers except Ford think EV trucks have to be funky and less functional shaped. Ford *almost got it by at least using the standard truck body but then dropped the ball by only offering the tiny bed and huge cab. Looks like the top pick may end up being the Ram diesel-electric hybrid that is supposed to be offered in all trim levels. That might be the first EV truck capable of replacing my Silverado 1500 diesel. Maybe.
Why am I watching this? I don't own a snowmobile or a truck.
Me either !
the editing the music the camera shots the angles are just amazing
Great vid so happy to see your content evolve over the past few years!!
You guys are two beautiful souls. I'm so happy you guys found eachother.
I love all of your videos. But the one thing that makes my day is what an unconditionally wonderful human being you are. This world needs more of you. 👏👏
Love how good you are to your wife. As always, wonderful video.
Them smiling together is a whole vibe 💞
This makes me love my longbed more. It's 8'2" with the tailgate up. I never understood why beds got shorter. Yeah you can use a trailer but that makes it harder, having to hook up the trailer, make wider turns, more maintenance, having room to store the trailer
Hell, even a standard bed (6.5') is almost impossible to find in a half-ton these days. Sadly the half-ton market has largely become nothing more than macho mini-vans so people would rather have a huge cab to haul the kids to soccer than a usable bed to do work. It is possible to get a real bed, but you'll probably have to order it.
becasue you added rear seats and with rear seats and a long bed you can't park it anywhere. 1/40 owners need a long bed.
@@TigerDude333 Assuming you are talking about @austinhernandez2716 above. He didn't say anything about having rear seats, only a long bed. Myself I do have rear seats on my short bed (6.5') but only the 'smaller' rear seats as I have never put a person in them, I just wanted to be able to recline the driver's seat to take a quick nap when on a road trip and to have quick storage for groceries or other things I don't want to put in the bed with my work equipment. I don't think you can even order a long bed with a 4-door cab in the Silverado half ton, and I believe only in the supercab (not full rear doors) for the F150.
This is the first time, I think that jerry made video like this, this video was mixer of vlogging, and reviewing and specially shooting landscape. Loved this video. 👍

I still think back on how you described meeting Cambry. "What do you do?" "I'm a RUclipsr". "Oh".
That's like Tony Hawk saying he's a skateboarder... when you don't know Tony Hawk.
Cool! This is the first I've heard of electric snowmobiles. Had to do a replay to catch the sound of the motor/drive train combo. I was listening while driving the first time and thought you had replaced any chance of hearing the motor with "boom, boom...ding, ding, ding...boom, boom" 😅
Was expecting a "that's not going anywhere" comment when tightening the ratchet strap...
Super cool! Looked like fun! That's my favorite canyon, good to see some good snow up there.

@@MrE_ Just need to be 6'3 in the US, anywhere else we are using the metric system and i'm 190cm 😉
Can we just appreciate the pure soul that Zack is he gave his wife a chance to enjoy and live life after her accident, unlike many men today who would see a girl on wheelchair as someone who wouldn't be able to do the chores and house stuff. They didn't choose to be on a wheelchair it's just the way God planned things for them and they should be treated more special than normal women so hats of to you Zack you are the definition of a real man who loves his wife and gets loved back.

Such a beautiful video btw Zack 😍😍😍😍
Can’t wait for a review of this snowmobile. I want an electric snowmobile but sceptical how it’s gonna work without a heated garage and stuff.
How does it corner with all that weight? Usually with a heavy front end, they get nervous in the corners. Or driving on the side of a slope, tipping over
Remember that 650kg limit on the tail door isn’t just when stationary. Load increases with dynamic loading or going over bumps etc, so careful not to load it near that maximum.
Very good👏🏻❤️

This makes think a Cambry quote from the two bikes welded together video, most of my adult life on pavements; what a change Zack has made to this ladies life and her his. A change for good getting him into the fresh air, and her too!
The plywood is also probably helping distribute the load a bit more evenly.
