i live in italy and most buildings are half monuments,have facades of marble etc, and are a real serious problem for people with disabilities,we really try to knock down what we call architectonic barriers,we spend a lot of time and money just to get permits for ramps where the ramp should be there without questions people on 6th floor no elevators are stuck especially when they reach their 70's
It's not even glass. It's acrylic. Easily scratched and generates an abundance of static electrical charge. I'm guessing the manufacturer used it because it's not as heavy as glass, and it doesn't have the same safety hazards of glass breakage to engineer mitigations for. It's probably less expensive, too, I'd bet.
As a father of two young boys struck with a degenerative disease, I can say that this video really helped me with a massive head scraching. We still have time before they get into wheelchair so we're planing on adapting our house to ease their life. We were looking for an elevator solution so they can go on all floors of our house. I was wrongfully thinking that elevator were massive thing that takes huge amount of space. In my head, I was picturing some kind of "hospital" elevator ... god was I wrong. @@superJK92 They're still young enough to move around like kids. They take some medication that can "slow" down the effect by 1 or 2 years that affects their growth. The older one starts realizing he's not getting as tall as his friends. We still have hopes for the best, there are multiple approaches on medications that can slow more than 1 to 2 years, some of them being tested on humans (I sound like a mad scientist). Technologies goes really fast, I even thought that if medical field can't heal them, technologies will help them in the future. Long before having children, I had realized that everyone on this earth had his own challenges. You, kind sir, have a challenge of your own and it has it's difficulties. I feel that you have more routine checks to do given your medical condition. I don't know for sure but I'm guessing haha. Anyway, I hope that they find a cure to heal you or at the very least, a treatment that can slow down or even stop the process that creates those tumors. Thank you for asking and I wish you well!

I bought my wife a one story house and she CAN climb stairs. That seems like a much simpler way to show love for your spouse and get the respect of strangers, rather than doing whatever this guy does. My way doesn't come with ad revenue or putting my family on display for other people to gawk at though.
I’ve only watched a couple of their videos but they are a match made in heaven. She gets to have a partner able to create ways to decrease some of her daily struggles. And he gets to think of and play around with different builds! The ultimate puzzle 🎉

Devan Deilkes instead of making it more of a burden, he should use his iq to help his wife walk, physio helps yeah, but adding a lift when someone wants to be independent, that isn’t really the way, like why not walk up stairs when you can walk on an escalator🙁🙁

I have this elevator, based on a severe back injury. Life changing. It was the only thing that allowed us to get a 2 story house. This does DRASTICALLY simplify the actual installation. We had contractors and the elevator company here for 5 weeks doing the install.
I know I'm late to this comment as I was searching for these elevators. I have a stairlift right now and everything was fine until one day it stopped halfway up the stairs. It scared the daylights out of me and I had to get off and walk up the stairs. I would be nervous if the elevator suddenly stopped working. Has that happened to you? How much did the entire job cost?

Fantastic. I came to this page from Rivian 1500 mile review. My teen daughter is in wheelchair. We were able to modify our 1960s home sufficiently without an elevator but love seeing this compact solution. Now I need to find the off road wheelchair videos!!

that isn't hoe deductions work. An expense is still an expense, it just counters income for taxing.
If he makes $50,000 a year and let's say this elevator is a $2000 expense and it is the only deductible expense in his life that year and that it is 100% deductable. That would merely mean that he pays income tax on $48,000. It does not mean that he takes $2000 off of his tax payment.

I have this elevator, based on a severe back injury. Life changing. It was the only thing that allowed us to get a 2 story house. This does DRASTICALLY simplify the actual installation. We had contractors and the elevator company here for 5 weeks doing the install.
I know I'm late to this comment as I was searching for these elevators. I have a stairlift right now and everything was fine until one day it stopped halfway up the stairs. It scared the daylights out of me and I had to get off and walk up the stairs. I would be nervous if the elevator suddenly stopped working. Has that happened to you? How much did the entire job cost?
