Making a character use racial slurs to pin point the stupidity of bigotry, is funny. Good comedy can reference anything and it will still be funny without any offense
It's as though they don't realise the undeniable talent and originality they possess. At the heart of their comedy is the tried and tested format of two men bickering, but the premise in each episode is initially so inconceivably stupid or outrageously offensive that most other comedians would reject them early on in their drafting process. But instead they persevere in the logic behind them, adjusting either the personalities of the two or the wider context, until it becomes just probable enough to be believable.
