- Sarah and Lukas from the Swiss Embassy in London go through a live settled status application step-by-step.
The video was filmed on a Thursday and by the following Tuesday Lukas had received confirmation from the UK Home Office that he had been been granted Settled Status.

This was a really helpful and very clear video and had no trouble with application on android phone. It did take about 2 months to receive settled status but probably the COVID19 caused delay in process, very very happy thank you to Sarah and Lukas for making it very easy to follow

Hi The symbol on the passport is not to indicate where the chip is located. It's just to inform you that you ave a biometric document. The whole cover of the passport is just an NFC tag.

that was at May unfortunately the apps not working correctly anymore and scan the chip is like nightmare

okay okay, in fact this year I plan to also be in Belgium (at home) but I would like to be present for the pre settled and the Brexit, I am in business management in foundation Year and the majority of the courses are online for this year academic but I also and above all want to have my pre-settled status by December 31, 2020, what do you suggest I do? is there a limit (like 3 months) of how long someone can be on benefits, during the settled status period , if that person wants to apply for British citizenship ? I heard that it may be a problem when it comes to the ''continuous lawful residence'' step of the application but i don`t know if that`s true or not. I hope you can clarify . Thank you
1st of all thank you very much for explaining in detail. My only question is I am not an EU citizen however, I was married to EU citizen ( divorced now) and on that behalf I have been given resident card for 5 years till 2023. Now my passport doesn't have the chip to scan. Will it be good enough to scan my UK resident card as that card has a chip. I look forward to hear from you guys. Once again thank you for the help.
Nick This is only for EU citizens plus Switzerland Norway and Iceland. If you are not from the EU you have to apply in other ways.

Hello . My sister wanna move to Uk in December 25 , and she wanna apply for pre settlement status. when you arrive to the UK .. you need self isolation for 14 days.. Whats documents she can get for apply P. status .. She have only 6 days but self isolation 14 days ???
