But yeah, the nerfs really hit him hard and made him more of a supporty control mage since they took away lots of his damage making him focus on perfect insecs and perfect because then your team can do damage you don't have until level 18 and your wall only lasts 3 seconds.
How many times did Azir get nerfed in a row? First it was like the E got the shield taken off, then the knockup got reduced, then knockup was removed, the ult got a soldier removed, the speed buff through ult was removed for all allies, soldiers got an early game nerf. It was like 4-6 patches in a row of continuous Azir nerfs. Maybe a break between one or two but damn. He really didn't need to get gutted. He was fine with the E knockup imo even if it made him a noob trap/all in machine. (EDIT: Then the ult couldn't reach behind Azir as far as it used to but I think that got put back in, as well as the amount of soldiers Azir could have out at once was reduced but that was 'overturned' from what I remember)
