The "azirsec" is called "The Shurima Shuffle" and was not even discovered by Red, all Red did was demonstrate it on a youtube video.....
And the "RedMercy" Bjergsen pulled off is known as "The Revenant", which is different from the "The Shurima Shuffle"

Your 'sneaky Azirsec' has been around for quite some time.

Well that's the thing most Azir players already know how to and probably have pulled off all of these tricks, they're kind of essential to playing him afterall.

nah, the shurima shuffle is where you just use you e then q to travel extra far, the "-sec" part from the azirsec represents when u use your ultimate to "insec" your enemy to your team.

me as an more or less Azir main, would add 1 more simple but effective trick.
i call it "the fake follow".
how it works:
1. your supposed to have an soldier right behind you. (maybe because you fought someone and are on the chase, but your Q is'nt ready again)
2.you chase the enemy by your own.
3. now you send out the soldier behind you with your Q in a way he will cut off the enemies escaping path.
4.and now your using your E to dash to your soldier which is atm behind your own.
(your enemy will only see that your stop chasing him, by dashing in the opposite direction, and now feels free from the chase.)
but because you gave your soldier the command to cut your enemies way off you will follow up the chase in the end.
and you will end up being in the front of your enemy.
What if we made a petition to call the Azirsec the "Redmercy"

Not a move but a strategy I use all the time on Azir during late game: sneak off when the enemy team is pushing your mid lane, spawn a tower directly behind them and use your ult to keep them from diving you or escaping. Almost always this results in their team splitting up both ways into the jungle and becoming easier to pick off
This will help so much when he gets nerfed to the ground. I am a lvl6 Azir player and the ult duration nerf is gonna be a big problem for every kind of Azir player. They just shoudn't do it.

They should at least make the ult 3/4/5 seconds instead of 3. Imagine if the 2 second nerf persisted... 3 at least is a little bit better but still sucks from 5/6/7

Except that people also use shurima shuffle to just talk about escaping with the e+q combo or just using it for mobility. Just that because the azirsec requires it to be done they are often referred to as the same thing. Thats just my opinion anyway. It's debatable both ways

One thing about the last trick: it's easier to do if you spam R during the backwards q, it appears that there's a short window where you can let while Eing
Also one crucial thing is that you can't hit the enemy with your e or else the dash is cancelled

Hey red the thing you forgot to mention is that you have to move your mouse all the way around in order to do this. Combo I had to practice my self in a custome aram map to figure it out and this was the key point that everyone have problem with they don't move there mouse and expect to fly around the map

Press E and then Q to move fast while spinning. This is a very advanced trick only Pro Garens/Garen mains will know.

You can also do this with fiora (sort of), you can w while dashing towards somewhere and then you will stay in one place for a shorter time after the animation ends.

you have to train WEQ and WEQR even if means dying over and over again. Playing Azir is like starting skateboard. You get fucked along the way but when you succeed you are cool as shit ;)

Hey man, just a suggestion, you should try Azir in URF, i tried it because i'm a pussy so i didn't want to ruin other people's games trying to practice Azir in normal games.
You can easily do all these 4 tricks in URF and if you feel ready, try it on normals (i already consider myself as a Azir main).

You do e>q.After your e end you q your enemy its like a suprise attack.
In lane pretend you're hitting minions and then surprise q. Do it a few times and you can flash q e for an easy first blood.

redmercy, i honestly think u could have had the fact that Q goes way far if u do it in walls, so u can E a way bigger distance, one thing, even though u cant auto after u just W and Q one a big wall (goes way far than Q range) but u can E through all it and its a great way to chase or excape and good to do ulltis unexpeted

It is a pretty big nerf to his ult since you can't use it anymore for staying behind in order for the opponent not to reach you. The ultimate will be used only for the knockback now

azir main here, 300k mastery 7 and still messes up the definitive ultimate azirsec (or shurima shuffle). For those who want to learn, don't try it, like it's impossible if you're not one with the egiptian chicken. But hey, the others become very natural with time

iv been playing azir for like 2 weeks and i realy wanted to see this video i learned alot from this thx mercy :D
The Ultimate AzirSec is the most easiest and safest to do actually IMO. I rarely do the others drift techniques because i hate diving and got focus once i drove my opponents to my team except if i have flash or zhonyas. Its really risky sometimes that is one of the weakness i'm having on Azir.

The sneaky Azirsec is pretty common in Chinese soloqueue, it helped me in some games to get to Plat last year in China. They just call it a double wall jump trick haha
Red, I know it isn't your kind of champion but can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make a advanced Rengar tricks? Being a top/jungle main, and liking your videos, I would die to see either one for Rengar or GP. PLEASE
Anyway, it's very rare to have a proper setup for the ultimate Shurima Shuffle. Very rarely people will position themselves between a soldier and you, also if you hit one of the enemy champion while attempting this you instantly stop, which happened 4/5 times in the few cases I would have been able to pull this one off
this will be helpful down the line I enjoyed the zed video and learn how to beast at it specially when urf was out I outplayed a 1v2 top lane
Can you still do all these drifting manuevers on Azir? I can't seem to cover that much distance with E-Q

the eq timing doesn't have to be precise anymore after the patch, u just go slightly further by doing the q as late as possible.
