for anyone wondering, i just timed it. before- 0-60 in 15 seconds after 0-60 in 10.4 seconds. from the frame the speedo needle moved to the moment the needle was between 6 and 0.
Nice, that's about the same results I got. I did bump the compression also by adding 799/243 heads at the same time, then headers. My towing performance was improved so much it pulls like a completely different truck.
My donor vehicle is a 153k mile '04 Express 3500 van with a LQ4. Drive train is going in a '93 C3500 crew cab long bed single rear wheel truck. I have the Speed Engineering long tubes, and the cam, springs, lifters and trunion kit. Talk about night and day, my truck had less than 200 hp when new, so I'm excited to see how it will drive after the swap. Thanks for the video! Good stuff!
Hey I know this is a long shot, but is there any way you could send me your tune file so maybe I can get mine dialed in? I’ve been having crazy issues fine tuning. Your set up is damn near exactly what I have under the hood.
Not sure if you did an electric fan by now, just watched a video from Northern Performance where they only gained 4 rwhp pulling the clutch fan off. I probably wouldn't worry about it.
They don't make them like they used to that's for sure... I had old beaters my whole life. Finally got a 2016. It was the biggest piece of crap.. baxk in an 2002 lol . Even with 200,000 mi it is twice the truck that 2016 is
Sick I was just about to ask and saw this post. Im like 20 minutes from rockaway and in the middle of a 243 heads 220r cam LQ4 build. I’ll def look into this place
That’s good man glad to hear my trucks getting the same cam with cnc heads atm. Nice truck btw don’t see them around very much in that condition where I live
@@Wingnut7078 280 sounds about right with 35s. This cam In A stock 5.3 makes 400 to the crank on an engine dyno. When you add accessories and take into consideration the drivetrain they typically dyno right at 300-315 to the wheel. But with big tires like 35s you’d expect a bit less power because of the extra mass.

Man 2500 quadrasteer?? That’s super rare! And that’s and awesome set up. Pretty much exactly what I’m trying to do here to my lq4. Minus the converter

You have an almost identical plan to me except my 93 is an extended cab k3500 srw

Never did electric fans due to needing another Re tune of the ECU. Not worth all
The extra money to do currently. Been zero issues with the clutch fan
I thought the quadra trucks were some of the early 6.2 engines for some reason
How did you change your milage color?
What cam do u have in it??
Which Flowmaster mufflers? They make more than one ...
Its a trashmaster 50
Looks like your power enrichment is set way high . Or you have a maf sensor issue
What makes you say that?
@@fudgeman333 the way the power hits high in the rpm . I set my power enrichment to 2500 rpm

I'm also in NJ and about to do the same thing. Where did you get it tuned?
LC3 performance in rockaway NJ, good guys there & got it all wrapped up same day. Fantastic drivability
@@fudgeman333 could you have went with just a downloaded tune?
@@ohurl if you buy hp tuners then yeah you can. I wanted it done one shot no guessing games

Nice cluster ! Who did it ?
A guy on ebay many years ago
Did driveability change? How about fuel economy?
Same as stock no lurching in gear & normal 11-12 mpg maybe better but im always stepping on it
@@fudgeman333 Great to hear, thanks for the reply!
Needs exhaust mods. Need to hear the cam more
Accepting donations
Karnage performance muscle series with an x pipe sounds good af on a stock truck I got them on mine looking to get this cam tho
295hp with cam? My truck made 280whp stock with 35s
Numbers mean nothing, how it feels towing is night & day. Thats all i care about

What truck do you have? And what engine?
On a dyno jet lol maybe they used a mustang dyno for his. Btw I seriously doubt it made 280 to the wheels on 35s stock .

That a quadrasteer?
Converter?
says 2200-2400 in description
That a 5.3 or 4.8?
6.0 LQ4
Throw some 706 heads on there and get that compression up
