    • @JohnnyAnderson1
      @JohnnyAnderson1  2 года назад +1

      It would depend on what you plan to do with it, I doubt your gonna be towing with a 62 K10 so it would really come down to performance. Even a stock engine will greatly benefit from a stall if performance is your number one priority. But this cam is more designed around increasing power without shifting the "powerband" much higher than stock to allow the stock converter to work fine. If I was doing a gear change and running 35's I would go with 4.88's unless you plan to be going 75mph ALL the time.
      With that being said if this wasnt my "tow truck" I would add a stall if I had the opportunity, but its certainly not a requirement.

      I would pick this over the stage 2 just to keep low rpm power up. • @JohnnyAnderson1
      @JohnnyAnderson1  2 года назад +4

      Usually unless your on flat ground or going over 70mph (depending on rear gear ratio) the engine rpm’s will be to low to have enough power to pull hills without downshifting to 3rd.
      So to keep from allowing the trans to constantly have to downshift it’s usually best to tow in a lower gear. This will depend on the power of the truck, the weight of the load, and as previously mentioned how many hills you will encounter.

      I would definitely recommend it along with longtubes. Only problem is no one makes a set of longtubes for the 25004x4 6.0. I used a set of headers for a 1500 and while they worked I did have modify the driver side a little to clear the front yoke. From there I would run a dual 2.5”. While the headers are not necessary they will definitely add power where you need it. I would also swap the heads to bump the compression up.
      And a good tune!!!
      Only down side is you will probably need to run premium fuel when towing to keep the engine happy.
