- With the RK Autowerks Stage 3 Engine Build completd, the hybrid GTX 3076R turbos and methanol system fitted, and custom tuning and Dyno Session carried out there was only one thing left - to take our Stage 3 1000BHP F90 M5 to VMAX 200 and see what we can do in the 1.1 mile runway event.
We also had our F80 M3 running prototype Mosselman Turbos, and tuning the car on the day as the F90 M5 had taken up all of our time!

Yes, the car was 3mph slower than our Stage 2+ record, but with a 30mph+ headwind instead of a tailwind we are happy with the performance. Bring on the next one and everyone pray for kinder weather 🙏🏻

Im no expert but Imran and the evolve/eventuri team seem to be really cementing there name in the bmw tuning world. I would feel happy and confident to let them tune my car specially as there seems to be so many tuners out there

It's not rocket science. It's been the same for the past 20 years with EFI. The ability to just download a map and flash it onto your ecu is just easily accessible to morons now. If you're getting your car tuned and it isn't touching a dyno, stay away.

Im no evolve die hard fan boy but im sure that they have just moved units and are awaiting they're own dyno to be installed... plus yeah he brought rk in but i was just under the impression they were one of the first to do research and development on it no? I could be wrong.

RK really seems to know his stuff. DMO talking shit about 30k build but RK even said you CAN make power on standard engine but it’s a roll of the dice if it will last.
We pushed our car to where we were comfortable power wise, then made the decision to go for an engine build because we knew we couldn’t go much further safely and reliably.
RK really killing it with his mods to the S63, M cars shouldn't be about fuel economy, M division should be building engines like RK does as a standard.
I love the sound of the M5 as it slows down. Sounds like a plane slowing down. Insane! 😍

Hard Luck for that +30mph headwinds. As you said it affected everyone. The M5 is absolutely amazing. Best and fastest F90 M5 I've ever seen. Sorry to see M3 suffering with clutch issues. Also very surprised and interested to hear about the M240i hitting 205mph. If that's the B58 then its extremely impressive. Maybe its about time Evolve unleash their wizardry on the new Supra. Maybe in 2021? . Now that would be another special build. Anyway awesome stuff Evolve.

Seems like a bit of a win considering the shape of the m5 and that head wind. The disadvantage at those speeds with a head wind will be magnitudes more than the slippery little sports cars! Looking forward to see what it can do on a clear day.

Massive improvements (I consider 215mph under more favourable conditions) and nice mixing in the engine explanation from RK. ///M5 should come standard like this :)
It's a' great performance although the previous speed record was not broken by the wind

Did you see something flapping under the M5 on the second run.
Actually posted the comment before seeing the second half of the video. Had this happen to me on a track day few years ago, full chat on the straight it came loose and was bouncing off the floor, sounded like the engine had fallen out. Limped back to the paddock 2 min fix and back out again.

With headwinds of 30+mph and still manages to hit 206mph what a BEAST!

Imran, great content.... shows you the BMW's are strong... noticed that the undertray on the M5 near the engine from what we could see was flapping around under accerelation... maybe that could contribute to the noise you was hearing, or aliitle in aero performance...

Rumour has it if you actually reverse up the track it becomes a tail wind and thus makes your vmax a lot quicker

Wind noise looks like it’s coming from your front windscreen wiper, it moves when you get to a certain speed and that’s when the wind noise happens.

The thing launches so hard it just undoes the undertray😂😂
The whistling noise from the wind could possibly be the crosswind hitting the side of the car and as the car moves forward, the side mirrors are building pressure pockets causing the noise.
We definitely think it is something along these lines
Imran the head wind was bad I even lost a roof trim on my f10 m5 the blue one stage 2 evolve On pump fuel we hit 198 on the dash and 193 trap speed which was the second fastest of the day apart from the black f10 with meth and turbos.

It seems that the noise was coming from underneath the car! On the video when launching you can see the cover underneath is wabling not fixed properly I guess... Amazing car 😍😁🚗

Met Imran on the day true gentleman! The headwind was killer only hit 173.51 in a stage 2 Supra when Evolve hit 180mph with theirs on Stage 1 at previous vmax.

That noise is coming from your windscreen or the windscreen wipers! As you got to higher speeds the wipers move up then the noise started!!

Shame about the head wind but shows how much is left in the car. Clear , calm and patient wins the race in the long run. People don’t understand data logging and doing things in stages.
Same noise we had in Evo cars and was from the air passing through the mirrors
Wind noise happens when the left wiper goes up. The gap between the end of the hood and wiper would create a low pressure point (venturi effect). not only does it sound like that, the runs the wiper doesn't go up you don't hear the wind noise
