    I’m not sure where he come up with 6 oz per gallon. All you need is 2.8 ounces per gallon. Kills everything for four months. It’s killer

    Just FYI, you can use the Farmworks around the base of your trees. it works on grass and plant leaves, won't hurt roots. This way you can eliminate having to weedeat around the trees. Question: I have...or more specifically am trying to recapture my lawn (bermuda) and get rid of everything else. The chemical you showed in your video, can it be mass sprayed across the bermuda, or do you have to spot spray it. The reason I ask is we have weeds everywhere.

    • @LaceyFamilyFarm
      @LaceyFamilyFarm  3 года назад +1

      I spot spray it because it will kill bermuda.

    Is the Triplet SF safe enough to attack weeks mixed within your grass without killing your grass?

    Well I also farm but I also we deal with all water hemp and things like that and we spray it when it gets when it’s small so it doesn’t it’s not that much more before I can get tough to be a problem cause if you spray when it’s small before it has a chance still get established and it won’t be around but you also want to make sure you know which way the wind is blowing but I wouldn’t spray that and make sure there’s nobody around because my friend used that and it’s got some small strong arm fumes to it

    I have been doing this along time on my 23 acres. Read the directions this persons mixture is way out of wack. Most important spray when wind is 5 mph or less. Wear a chemical mask and Rubber gloves, long pants and long sleeve shirt. If you dont know what your doing figure it out before jumping into it.

      Tell me exactly why it’s wrong? Because I got these mixtures instructions from a person who works in chemicals for agriculture and he gave he these mixtures instructions. He knows what he’s doing and it works for us. So please tell me how you know better than him and how he is wrong?

    Where I live tractor supply has the highest prices, usually.

  • @dre04mach

    I feel your pain, and while I use the same glyphosate - that 41% solution is now 129 bucks at Tractor supply - the 53% is 179 bucks - I only use it in the front yard... My dogs love to chew on weeds and I would not recommend spraying this stuff anywhere animals come in contact with it... It is really nasty stuff. Really effective, but really nasty. The only more natural way of killing them that I thought is propane torch. They do come back, but this is their habitat... I'm looking for more automated ways of doing it - with a small tractor... Weeds are really bad here in AZ...

    Does glyphosate efficiently kill poison ivy?

    • @dre04mach
      @dre04mach Год назад +1

      I use the same stuff, and at least here in AZ I have not found anything it doesn't kill, however, we don't have poison ivy. It is a vegetation clearer, it does not care.

    That’s my advice would be to you but I research everything before I put anything down and one of my friends is also an agronomist so but I ask anything if I need to find out something and I look at the reviews I ask other farmers if they’ve used it if it’s worked yeah I’ll try on something small before you put it on all of your all your ground

  • @rogerl8488

    So do you mix these together or use separate? I was going use just on my lawn.

    • @LaceyFamilyFarm
      @LaceyFamilyFarm  2 года назад

      You definitely can mix them together. Just make sure you get the ratios correct.

    As soon as you said “flood irrigation,” I knew you had to be here in the Phoenix area. Have you tried Drexel De-Amine 4? I just got some in, and was wondering if it worked for you. I live on five acres. I spray around the perimeter of my fences so that I don’t have to spend all of that time weed eating. I am also gonna start spraying my yard and other “pasture” areas so that it’ll be nothing but pure Bermuda. I have had it sprayed once before. But it costs a lot to pay someone to do it.

    • @LaceyFamilyFarm
      @LaceyFamilyFarm  4 года назад

      Amanda Davis I haven’t tried that, but I am open to trying it. Where did you get it at?

      Lacey Family Farm we have irrigation tomorrow, I think. I’m gonna spray when the ground dries up enough. I have a lot of crabgrass, some clover, and dandelions too. There’s some other weeds too. I purchased it off of Amazon.

    • @amandadavis9726
      @amandadavis9726 4 года назад

      What brand of Triplet SF is that? Also,...where did you purchase it at? I’d like to give it shot, to compare to the Drexel 2-4D Amine.

      @@amandadavis9726 to be honest I’m not sure. I got it from a local chemical company in the Phoenix area, Fertizona, based on a neighbor who had worked for them. They are awesome though and have grass seed, glycophosphate and triplet at good prices.

    • @amandadavis9726
      @amandadavis9726 4 года назад

      @@LaceyFamilyFarm thanks. I’ll check them out. Gonna do a resto project on a neighbor horse property. They have some Bermuda grass in places, but have a lot of weeds. They want me to spray for the weeds so that the grass will take off. I’d like to see death within a couple of days, instead of a week, lol.

    Glyphosate will burn down your entire yard. Glyphosate is for grass control commonly used either as burndown or in GMO crops that are tolerant. Be sure this is what you are trying to achieve if you're spraying that on your lawn.

    • @LaceyFamilyFarm
      @LaceyFamilyFarm  3 года назад

      To be honest, you should wear a mask while applying this but I didn’t for a long time and I’m not sure what you should wear

    • @joesauceda69
      @joesauceda69 2 года назад

      I ALWAYS wear a half face respirator. Anyone will do as long as it has the n95 charcoal cartridge filters or the p-100 pink particulate filters. Keep in mind that you’ll want to clean off your mask on the outside just in case any chemicals overspray on to the mask.

    I rather blowtorch these weeds and burn them dry! Awesome video!

    • @LaceyFamilyFarm
      @LaceyFamilyFarm  5 лет назад +2

      Haha. That is definitely an option too. With so much area that we needed to clear our weeds out of, we found this to be the most efficient. Burning does work great though.

      Yes, and we have used them before. We just don’t like to use them a lot, just in case we do want to plant stuff in those areas in the future. But if you know you’re not going to do that, then those works great.

    Heres the deal... First you need a still hot /warm day with no rain forecasted a few days in the near future OR WIND the day you spray.
    Take a 25 gallon spray tank on a 3 or 4 wheeler and add 1 gallon of crossroad (farm and home substitute),1 gallon of Pramitol,1 gallon of bean oil/paraffin oil (to make sure mixture sticks), and 1 gallon of intimidator (farm and home substitute).Keep the mixture mixed/agitated at all times while spraying.SPRAY AS LOW AS YOU CAN !!
    Youll never see vegetation again for 2 months maybe more.
    Results start appearing in hours not days.
    Just be careful and mindful cause its a hot mix with wax/oil to keep it sticking..
    It will knock down 10' brush no problem and also any ground weeds/grasses.
