      Yes. Additionally, one of my legs/ankles swelled. My primary care physician switched me to Metoprolol . .A year later my Mayo surgeon took me off it because I developed mild venous stasis. I take no blood pressure medicine now and both swelling and venous stasis have resolved. No itching, either.

    Do you have a video on Lisinopril? Because it gives me cough even after 7 weeks. Amlodipine has fewer side effects.?

      Appreciate your support.Calcium is something that helps your heart and your body work properly. Sometimes, though, your body has too much calcium in certain places, like in your heart. This can make your heart work too hard and cause problems like high blood pressure.
      Calcium Channel Blockers are medicines that help slow down the amount of calcium that goes into your heart. This helps your heart work better and can lower your blood pressure. It's like putting a little bit of a brake on your heart to help it slow down and work more efficiently.
      So, just like how you use brakes on your bike to slow down and ride more smoothly, Calcium Channel Blockers help your heart slow down and work better!

    For me Amlodipine was a life changer. I had migraine attacks, twice a month, since I was a kid, and when I was 40, the doctor put me on Amlodipine for my blood pressure. Since then no migraine attacks anymore. I am 70 now. Only side effect is mild muscle pain.

    My Dr prescribed amlodaline while I was taking Losartan. My feet and ankles swelled horribly and I got neuropathy in my my hands and feet. Still have it after a year of not taking it. I also was very light headed and had balance problems :( I fell twice!

    When I mispronounce "Amplodine" instead of amlodipine to a nurse, all conversation on questioning this drug ceased and was "deflected". "Ask your doctor", so they can do what they do best, "deflect". They give any pharma-loving-sell-out, a white gown now days.

    Thanks for sharing, but does amlodopin cause erectile dysfunctiona

    • @ThinkYourHealth
      @ThinkYourHealth  Год назад +2

      It would be uncommon for Amlodipine to cause erectile dysfunction.Here is a commentary in a study looking at different BP medications & ED: "Other classes of drugs used in TOMHS, the β-blocker (acebutolol), angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor (enalapril), and calcium channel blocker (amlodipine), did not appear to affect erection function, with the incidence rate for men randomized to any of these three drugs similar to that for men randomized to placebo". www.ahajournals.org/doi/10.1161/01.hyp.29.1.8?url_ver=Z39.88-2003&rfr_id=ori:rid:crossref.org&rfr_dat=cr_pub%20%200pubmed
