I think you are right. Its so much rushed and like 4 episodes were just fighting over and over again. Also, I was so hoping for Nine's character arc to be good but... it was good but not amazing. Like, Nine literally stopped when Sonic spoke to him in like a minute. It only took a minute!!!

Well…..he’s not wrong. XD I loved Mangey and Sails. Such an awesome comeback, wish we got more screen time with them.
Though I’m in the camp that this entire series was about Sonic and Nine. Shadow was just a side character. And sadly, other than learning to trust Sonic, didn’t change much throughout the three seasons. Where as Captain Dread and Rusty Rose got plenty of development. Heck even Sonic got more development than Shadow. But as other people have said, it’s the best Shadow we’ve gotten and it’s hard to improve upon perfection.

Oh no need to beat yourself up over it! Animated shows can be hard to do! But you know, no matter how much the fandom thinks negative of it, I think Sonic Prime was really good for what it was. It had some of the better character moments for the characters I've seen in years, some of the best Sonic models too. While I grew up on Sonic X, didn't watch much of Sonic Boom and really enjoyed Saturday cartoons. I will say they all have flaws and this fandom is just... a hard to please one.

I REALLY liked season 3. It wasn’t the best thing I’ve ever seen or anything but for Sonic Prime I think it was great. My favorite season yet. Shadow was perfect, Nine was pretty great, the Amys were fun and Sonic’s development makes sense in the very least. The fight did drone on quite a few more episodes than it should’ve and it got really repetitive but I dunno it didn’t really bother me as much as it probably should’ve. I was more annoyed with the lack of actual action if that makes sense. It feels like at some point they just stopped animating fights and would cut away before it’d get good and considering the vast majority of the episodes is fights, fights, fights it’s just… not good.
The ending was ok but I don’t really mind the cliffhanger, I’ve seen other shows end that way so it didn’t really annoy me either
I do also agree that the constant pleas get very VERY repetitive and there was a point in time when Sonic really wanted to fight Nine but the second he got to him he’s immediately like “this isn’t you” or something. I would’ve preferred if when he saw what Nine was building for him then he starts monologuing about friendship.
A lot of these points though, I’ve come to accept as flaws of the show and while season 3 doesn’t necessarily have anything inherently better than the other 2 seasons it just felt more exciting to me and thus more enjoyable. In hindsight I understand it’s not that great but while watching it, I liked it a lot. 7-8/10

I’m not gonna write an essay (compliments to you) but what I think is that we should’ve got more time with sonic’s original friends that would’ve been great to see but the part I didn’t like was that I sat through one hour of combat till the real confrontation

    • @Skywalkr298
      @Skywalkr298 8 месяцев назад +1

I'm gonna contradict a little against the plea thing if it doesn't bother you I didn't hate the pleas as it reminded me of Spider-man Miles Morales as during the final fight of the game miles and Phin were fighting and Miles kept trying to get Phin to listen to him and get her to realize she is not just going to blow up roxxon plaza she was a gonna blow up all of Harlem and Miles kept trying to tell her this but she wouldn't listen until the end of the fighting when miles crawls up to the nuform generator and takes out all of the energy she then realizes Miles was right and she had to get miles out of the way of Harlem before miles let's out all of the nuform energy inside him. Which Sonic prime's fight with nine was a lot like that he was oblivious to the damage he's gonna cause and what damage he has caused until the end where nine then notices the damage he caused and needs to do something before everyone is dead therefore you know the rest, but that's why I kind of liked the pleas just because it reminded me of miles trying to get to Phin.

He still stuck by Sonic’s side even when he was introduced to everyone.

I thought the first few episodes and the ending were pretty good, the main issue I had was in the middle. During the build up to this season while I was excited, I did have a big concern in the back of my mind and that was that this final story didn’t look like something that would last 8 episodes, so how would they drag it out. And with the season out now I can see that their answer was to make a 3 episode long endgame fight sequence. And while that isn’t immediately an issue, things start hitting the fan when you realize how repetitive the fight is, I swear most of the time it’s just a back and fourth between one side getting the advantage then the other just with some nice character moments sprinkled in. It wasn’t all bad, I liked how Nine kept getting more unhinged as the fight went on, felt like the animation team had a field day with all the crazed faces and anime poses they have Nine do 😂. But still I feel that if I have to count the amount of endgame panning shots used and that number is above 1 then there are some issues.

Shadow was the best part for me. I wish Ian Hanlin would stay as Shadow's voice actor.
The problem with this show, from my perspective is that it mainly had 'awesome moments' but that's it, most episodes felt like "filler." Storytelling-quality-wise, there wasn't really any fully-fleshed out characters (Even Shadow's character is a "mystery" in a bad way because this show refused to even 'briefly' go over his backstory & that he has "no friends" for no reason, even though the games show otherwise.), deep messaging (Not saying a "kids show" has to be too deep, but nothing felt like it really mattered in this story.), & game lore logic & consistency (No way this show is canon. I'll wait for 'any' character in the games to at least acknowledge the Paradox Prism exists first before believing that.).
Speaking of Shadow, ironically, people said if Shadow was the Main Character, this show would be very short, but in the end it seems this show would've been better perceived as a series of movies (Like 3 Movies instead of "3 Seasons.").
Overall, I liked Sonic Prime, second favorite Sonic Show, but for me, Sonic X is still #1 by far. Sonic X is definitely not perfect, but you can't deny the impact that show ended up having on the games. It literally created the "Inhibitor Ring" concept for Shadow before Sonic '06 made it canon for Shadow's character. Sonic Prime's impact? I predict this show will be forgotten like Sonic Boom (It's not even trending on Netflix like the previous "2 Seasons" did from what it looks like sadly. Correction: As of 1/12/24, it IS on Trending on Netflix. That's good, maybe that happened because "Season 3" premiered on a "School Night"?). And I don't see 'any' game character bringing up the Paradox Prism or Sonic & Shadow bringing up the events of the show in the games.
One positive thing for sure I can say is that I think Sonic Prime's voicecast overall is the best overall voicecast we've had in over a decade. If Sonic Prime for sure beats Sonic X in anything, it's the voicecast (Sadly it seems Sonic Prime's voicecast won't take over for the game characters like how Sonic X's voicecast did at one point, except for Eggman, because Sega still keeps giving me the impression they stopped caring about quality over a decade ago.).

This show could’ve been 2 seasons easily. There’s so many episodes in all the seasons that could’ve been cut due to them dragging it out artificially, especially in season 3.
You could’ve taken 3 episodes out of this season.
I still prefer Sonic X. I’m biased because I grew up with the show. But, I not only enjoy the characterization better, but the different subjects introduced.
I’m kinda tired of the “immature-jokey-good at heart” boy protagonists. We get too many of them. Sonic X (while his vocal range is inferior to Prime) had a unique personality. A type of “chill experienced nomad” with a skater dude accent.
This show is more focused on selling toys than telling a story. Cool fight scenes to keep the kids attention. Sonic X had a whole episode where he took this disabled girl on a trip to see her dream spot instead of hanging out with the president.
I know I’m an adult, but I wish this show was made for teens instead of kids. There’s next to no required thinking needed to watch this, and it’s unfortunate.

It literally was the last game Shadow was a fully playable main character (And it let the other characters be playable & have a role in the story, too.), got to go Super, had an important role in the story from beginning to end, had a good voice actor, not to mention, his inhibitor rings got introduced & utilized. The CGI Cutscenes looked so good, too (We don't even get these kind of CGI Cutscenes in the games themselves anymore.). Sonic's entire character development was forgotten in the last 7 minutes of the last episode. Shadow was OMEGA nerfed. 24 episodes for eating 1 minute chlidogs is a shame. Knuckles The Dread had 5 minutes of screentime, maybe even less. Nine and Sonic repeated their lines constantly and the whole fight of 3 episodes could have been in one episode. Sails and Mangey are excluded from the fight because Sega, as always, has to leave Tails aside (If we don't count Nine, who doesn't even resemble Tails in behavior). We didn't even see a single hug between Sonic and his Green Hill irrelevant family. The point of the Show was that Sonic and Nine have different interests and that they both need to have their own ending. Sonic had a 1 minute ending, Nine DIDN'T EVEN HAVE IT?! I, you, and none of you who say that the ending is good, do not know what happened to Nine at the end. Did he manage to create Grimm? Has he returned to his old life? Has he turned over a new leaf with his new friends? 3 Amys had more souls than the entire third season. The 3 were the only ones that were fun. What, Sonic only realized in the SIXTH episode that his sneakers have some power in Grimm?! Shadow JUST SAT in the canyon for 4 episodes?! Sails and Mangey only watched 4 episodes?! There are a lot of plot holes and a lot of missed potential. I am very disappointed. The excuse cannot be that the show is for children, because if the show is for children, it does not mean that it should lose all the emotion and atmosphere that was built up in the previous 2 seasons.

I agree with the repetitiveness of the battles but one thing I liked about it was the win/loss balance the reason I like this it hides plot armor instead of making it really relevant another thing that went against plot armor and trying to hide it was Sonic being saved by friends more often and Sonic struggling during the battle which in my opinion just makes really makes a good story one issue I've had with past Sonic stuff was the plot armor and making sonic "perfect" which I think Sonic Prime fixes that making villains more powerful and giving Sonic a challenge which makes the ending more satisfying like i love the ending for Sonic Prime I like how urgent it was that they had to get Sonic to gate before bad things happened I like how even Sonic was having doubt if he could make it. This ending reminds me of the Insomniac Spiderman games because in the end of each one major events happen and I feel that each ending was urgent like in Spider-Man miles Morales the reactor was close to exploding and taking out all of Harlem but miles was able to get to it and drain the power and Phin sacrifices herself to get the blast away from Harlem which was amazing and the fight against doc oc' both peter and doc oc were damaged at the end and peter had to make a choice to leave doc oc at the end and may ends up dying which was amazing and was impactful. But past Sonic games did not have impactful endings and Sonic prime might have done it, also im mainly talking about the part where Sonic is glitching out that part felt dire. Also I think I understand why the fighting part went on for so long my theory is maybe it meant the fighting was gonna go on forever until both sides died or an agreement happened I'm pretty that's what the point of it was

    • @Skywalkr298

Another thing I wanna add I feel like this is the first time it isn't just oh a threat happens and or the group goes into an and then all of Sonic's friends get captured then Sonic has to save them and then they go against a "threat" but his friends just sit there and Sonic does everything and then everything is resolved and there was no real "challenge", but Sonic Prime finally changed that formula and added challenge and struggle for Sonic and totally got rid of most plot armor

A thing I think they should have changed not having the battles 4 episodes long but 2 maybe the other two episodes would be going back to past shatter spaces and having to get more recruits but the longer they wait to battle nine the more dangerous things because makes more robots and makes them more lethal over time making more difficult for Sonic and the other members to actually get around without Sonic getting captured they have to get the grim and maybe the path to get to the grim would difficult as it would be swarming with enemies and new yoke would be decaying faster and faster making a challenge when going to the grim to get to Nine, but in the midst of a battle the robots strategically separate Sonic from group by having him being chased by bird and right into a trap Sonic gets swarmed by tons of enemies and is taken out and is brought to the grim where Nine successfully gets Sonic inside and captured while Nine was getting ready to transfer the energy, but again like last time the other members triangulate Sonic's location and the battle begins, but i'm not gonna add on to this part as I don't really know how to make the battle go on but this is my idea if the battle only lasted two episodes

I would rate the series a “NINE” out of Ten. Pun totally intended but also how I genuinely feel. Sonic is in the title but Nine stole the show.
He went from Neutral Side Character, to Partner, to Main Antagonist in the span of the three seasons. And because I saw his story from his point of view, I was rooting for him every step of the way, even in Season 3. Only questioning whether Sonic could get through to him when he was at his lowest and outright stated he was accelerating the decay to force Sonic’s hand. And to Nine’s credit, he does!
I love that final fight between Sonic and Nine. There was just so much pain there. Sonic: [Cocky] “Ready to give up?”
Nine: [Almost in a crying defeated tone]“Give up?…I CAN’T” [Then the frustration and anger returns] “You’re the one who put me in this position!!!”
Once Sonic gets it in his head Nine will never quit, he pushes him into beam to both get him away from it and his friends. And that’s when Sonic finally sees what Nine built for him and what he actually intended for The Grim. Something good. And Sonic sees what we the audience saw, and feels like an ass, lol.
Though I will say to Nine, there’s nothing like putting your giant head in the sky and changing gravity like a god to unite an entire universe against you. But that’s the difference between a regular villain and a super one. PRESENTATION!!! And Season 3 has boat loads of it. The facial expressions, the character poses. There’s one in the final fight with Nine crossing his arms, holding up to fingers, hovering with his natural tails while his mechanical ones are displayed menacingly, all while he’s surrounded by his robot soldiers on top of the tower. Probably the most Anime inspired stance in the entire show.
I apologize if you read all that and are still with me. I just love this character so much and I’m grateful to the writers that saw the potential “A Tails that never met Sonic” had, one where the world was always cruel to him, and fully utilized him, not letting his character go to waste.
But I can’t claim being unbiased. Tails was already my favorite character. And Nine was an evolution of Tails that so many of us wanted to see. Independent, Powerful, Mature, but Broken, Incomplete. A hole in him that it appears only Sonic could fill. Which makes even his happy ending a tragic one, as “the first true friend he ever made” Nine had to say goodbye to in order to save his life. And we never got to see how Nine’s life played out after Sonic.
And while this series was perfect for a pun and Pirate loving Tails Fan like me, for my equivalent that is a Shadow fan, I can see them being more than a little annoyed that Shadow basically got benched for most of the series. And seeing how many people bring up Shadow in their reviews, it’s a great many people who were let down. I was too. I wanted Shadow to interact with the other versions of the characters. Just like Sonic did. But Shadow is not a people person, which is why I guess the show is called “Sonic Prime” and not “Shadow Prime”. Though I would TOTALLY watch a show called “Shadow Prime”, lol. Bringing it back around I wanted Shadow and Nine to have that conversation that dove into their pasts and showed just how much alike they really were. Edge Lord to Edge Lord.
Still, even with that, I loved this series and will not mind revisiting it. Especially since now I can watch Season 3 without biting my nails on whether or not Nine would live in the end. And also to boost ratings so we get a sequel to the show, in whatever form that may be. Peace ✌️.

Sonic Prime was not what I expected, it had a lot of wasted potential but I'll talk about that in a moment, but see that the series is something very inside the bubble, it even seems like they made a double multiverse series so how can I not delve deeper into this universe because it was as if they were “afraid” to go so deep, I understand that the series is not something like IDW, which is canonical and brings together many games, where it has a good story and good characters, the Sonic Prime series tries to bring Sonic into this new generation for Sonic fans is also for those who are new to Sonic, it works to a certain extent, if you watched Sonic prime you know that the series is the summary of basic Sonic, you don't need to worry about knowing the story of a certain game because the series is very basic, even though it has some references, there are about 3 flashbacks to old games, the series sums it up in a simple way, and this is because it fits into the canonical timeline, as it adds almost nothing but doesn't interfere much with the canon, There were people complaining about Sonic being too childish and silly or the fact that Rouge is part of the protagonists and other things, but if it happens before Sonic Frontiers, Forces makes sense to me, you know? These are some inconsistencies that we shouldn't give so much importance to because the series has bigger problems, not to mention that it's not the first time we've seen inconsistencies in this franchise, but then about the wasted potential, if they were. They are not going to put Sonic back, they could at least put characters perfect for the series' plot, which is Silver and Blaze, but they didn't do that, even though the series wanted to deliver something simple to understand, everyone agrees that this would improve the series. an absurd form, they didn't even include Prismatic Sonic or Super Sonic at the end, the way things were going, there wasn't much reason to put him in that form against Nine, but they could find a way to have an epic form they fought when the Council of Chaos turned against them, but they didn't even do that, even with all these things remember that the series was made for a younger audience in Sonic, that's what worked, if you go on the internet you will see a lot people praising the ending and saying that he cried at the end, there were people saying that Sonic prime was the best Sonic series or even the best series on Netflix so you can see the critical census of these children, the direction of the series took a long time from the first season until it had a good ending, but it was very predictable and could have been much better, this may sound like that old phrase "most kids don't even care" but it's true here, they liked it and that was the audience they wanted, the Sonic universe is huge but they missed the opportunity to explore this universe just like the comics, so Sonic Prime is that, a series that is good as the first canonical Sonic TV series, but doesn't add anything and gets stuck in these “references references” instead of delving into the great Sonic universe, the series' writers knew this very well, but they didn't know, if you were expecting something great from Sonic Prime, I know that IDW comics are much better canonical media than the series As a whole, whoever says it's the best Sonic series, in my opinion Sonic X is better than Sonic Prime.
Now about whether it is canon or not I don't think this unification is necessary, the 3 flashbacks to old games and the shadow saying he is the ultimate life form is enough for me, Ian Flynn said on X (twitter) that this happens once after Advance 3, covering Unleashed, colors, etc, Ian Flynn didn't write, direct or edit the show, but it was the least he could do
(Note: whether you like the series or not, we don't need to fight about it, even if the series has its problems, you can have more fun with this series than with Sonic X without the technical factor, but know how to recognize and accept opinions)

The first episode of season 3 was one of my favourite episodes in the whole series because it had so many good character moments, the action scenes were good, and all of them had a purpose. But after that, the quality dropped so significantly I was left wondering “What happened?”
I absolutely loved this show despite its flaws with pacing and stuff, but there were so many things I found wrong with season 3 episodes 2-7 that I can’t list them all here. It makes me really sad that the show had to end on this note, but I still think overall it’s worth watching and this version of Sonic and Shadow are my current favourites. One thing i do find weird with shadow that he cant teleport unless he have a chaos emerald. Chaos control is a different teleportation that isnt limited by distance. Shadow does have a regular blue teleportation which requires no chaos emerald. I also find it weird that shadow didnt use the chaos spear and chaos blast. Those abilities could have definitely saved him. Shadow already has chaos energy inside of him so it really doeant make sense, also him being able to take off his inhibitor rings to show his true power. I feel like they nerfed him and this is indeed a different universe of sonic.
Sonic also seemed nerfed, as he isnt the speed of light, cant do the bounce, the boost is just a game mechanic and ect. These were the only parts i really disliked about the show. But i guess they wanted to nerf are boys.

I think it's clear, there's simply too much fighting used as padding in this show. This problem was clear to me while watching season one, but they've really turned it up to eleven for the final season.. I love fighting, but like you said, it's just constant. I don't know how many times we've seen Nine multiply the Alpha robots.. Even after the 'big defeat' in episode 6 or so. they just returned.. Like you've said, nothing really happens in season three. Four of the seven episodes take place in the Grim, and guess what's happening there.. Yeah, fighting.. I did enjoy the show, tho. I've enjoyed it a lot, actually. I think season one is my favourite, but season two is a close, close second for me. I just wish that more was done, the potential was endless, and even with the building blocks that occurred in the show, I think it could've been done much better. I don't know how long till we get a new Sonic show (a while for sure), but I will always be thinking of Sonic Prime.

  • @HaywoodStudiosOfficial
    @HaywoodStudiosOfficial 8 месяцев назад

I think season 3 was fine. There's just two issues I have with this season.
    1. Yes, the ending is disappointing, since it is a cliffhanger, but it still did feel conclusive. I don't think Netflix will greenlight a 4th season, BUT they might just make an entirely new Sonic series, but have it set in the Prime universe with the same characters and cast, but under a different name. So, it wouldn't be called Sonic Prime., it could be called Sonic (fill in the blank). This has happened before with tv shows, like the animated Justice League tv show and Justice League Unlimited, since both shows used the same main cast and was set in the same universe.
    2. I think the whole giant fight in the Grim was forced. The whole point of Sonic going to NIne was that he was going to give his prism power over to Nine. But then, All of his friends the Chaos Council show up unannounced, Sonic tries to tell them that this was not the plan, his friends just tell him that they're there to save his skin, and then Sonic is just like "Ok, you guys are right, I'll fight Nine instead of giving myself up." What? Sonic just switches sides instantly without a second thought. The way it's played out, it almost makes HIM look like the villain, and Nine is the good guy. It was all a forced attempt, in my view, for a big battle. I think the battle was necessary and should have happened, don't get me wrong, but it could have been started a different way, like Nine thinking Sonic is betraying him, Sonic insists that e isn't, but Nine doesn't listen and attacks first.

Well, for me the show is an 7/10, I didn't think it was a masterpiece but it's also not as bad as some are saying, of course everyone's opinion varies but I agree that the first and second batch of episodes were very good but the third one was a bit dragging with some fights that just they understood what could be resolved by getting straight to the point, maybe if it was shorter it could be a little better due to a more dynamic rhythm, now summarizing a few points: regarding Sonic's characterization I didn't see many problems because it's a show for children too and in my opinion it doesn't make sense to do a story of growth and maturity if the character is already mature from the beginning (I mean, there are other ways of doing this but they opted for the basics and making Sonic more childish and immature ) about the show being canon, maybe they did it to give Prime some relevance, but do you want to know the truth? it doesn't matter, as Ian said in his post it doesn't matter because the Prime goes off with a soft reset and only Sonic and Shadow remember what happened and in the end everything remains unaffected including the games, so if you liked it and want to consider canon ok you can do this and put it at some point after Advance 3 (I personally put it between Colors and Lost World, more before Colors) but if you didn't like it and think it doesn't make sense, ok also just ignore it and consider as a separate thing because again this doesn't affect the games or the IDW comics in any way (maybe that's why the show doesn't have as many connections to the games, as a precaution) in the end I don't think Prime was bad, the ideas and concepts were good and what ended up getting in the way was the way the script was worked because you could see that the idea and concepts had potential, in the end Prime is a good show for you to follow without much commitment and this opens up opportunities so that in the future they can try a new animation, whether in 2D or 3D, but with the team responsible for the animated openings and prologue animations (like Marza Animations, Tyson Hesse, Ian Flynn and etc) as many fans have been asking for a long time

I really love this season, the fights were great, characters interactions and moments. The passing wasn’t really the issue for me, I had fun all the way through. The ending is really an issue ethier. Even if it does feel a little rushed and somewhat disappointing, I still love the show a lot. To me this is the best show, better than x, boom, adventure. It’s just pack with action, comedy, and great character interactions. Nine was a great villain, and I loved the dynamic between Sonic and Nine. It’s just crazy for me to see people say it’s garbage or it’s the worst show, just because of pacing and how it ended. It’s not perfect but it’s still great to watch. I can’t see how you can see all those great moments in the show and say it’s trash. For in my opinion It’s an 8 out of 10 OVERALL. I can definitely rewatch this but I can see why people don’t like parts of it but it’s not garbage. But that’s just me

They never mention that 1 of the chaos emeralds was lost in the void, it was never shown being recovered from between the shatter spaces. So technically Sonic's Green Hill only has 6 chaos emeralds now. Like think about how much of an oversite that is to make, especially with something so pivotal to the franchise as a whole.
But then again it could also be cutting corners since he does use the green emerald for chaos control at the end, still though they should've shown it being recovered because of its importance for the fights recreation, as it stands it doesn't make any sense.

IMO, Prime is presently the "Best" version of animated sonic. BUT there are things I was a bit less interested by it.
    - I love the "multiverse" concept, but in a way the execution of this was kinda throttled, like when the other shatter verses disappear, we saw a city on "no place" but never actually saw anyone but main cast's alternative designs. Likewise with Boscage Maze, we never saw anyone else there. Only New Yoke actually looked like a planned out world for the story and the rest only existed to find the mcguffin.
    - Unlike "Boom" (which I also kinda disliked the designs of) it was designed as a serial, just like Sonic X and Sonic Underground (*cringe*), and serials are targeted towards older audiences. Perfect for streaming services though. However this meant that a lot of characters had to be created for each multiverse, and we just kinda didn't see that.
Basically if you told me New Yoke City and Sonic Forces were from the same continuity, that would make sense. But clearly it's not since there are 5 eggmen, and no Sonic "character" already existing.
One of the sticking points to me was that I wish there was more to it. We have the basic mcguffin quest that was resolved in season 2, so all that was left was to fix things, but we have a third season of just fight-fight. So it started feeling a bit filler-y.
So I think the show is fine, seeing alternate interpretations of Amy, Knuckles, Rouge, Tails was fun to see, but I felt the character development was largely focused on Nine, and not very much on anyone else. It was pretty clear that each world gave a focus to a particular alternate (Amy in both New Yoke and Boscage, Knuckles in No Place, Tails in New Yoke, and Rogue in New Yoke, and no focus on Big in any world.) It's also interesting how only one of these alternates have "Eggmen" yet there are 5 of them. So none of them get any focus.
Anyway, I felt the show was fine, it was better than the shows that came before it (other than maybe X which I would argue was intended to follow the Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 plots, rather than build any original story beats.)

If Rouge the Bat never brought Shadow back (between Sonic Heroes - present) in the first place, none of this would have ever happened. But now it's already too late.

Once again streaming services and spacing out releases screw over a decent show. If it was 1 complete season with 20 episodes or so would of been amazing but no, they just had to make it split into 3 "seasons" and making the development staff stretch the pacing very thin.

Honestly one of the best Sonic shows in my opinion. I enjoyed season 3 A LOT and it was absolutely amazing in my opinion, the only thing that left me disappointed was the ending. The battles were kinda repetitive, but my main issue was the ending. Why did they have to leave it on a cliffhanger? Maybe they left some space at the end in case the show got renewed but I'd rather have them end it on a good note than making the ending uncertain for an unlikely possibility of another episode or season 4. There were also some unanswered questions. What happened to the other shatter spaces? Where did Shadow take the Paradox Prism? What happened to the Chaos Council? Is everyone in New Yolk living in fear again, or did they get wiped out of existence? What was the blue shockwave and the huge shadow at the end of the last episode? I'm also really upset about the fact that Sonic and Shadow never had a chance to talk again. I wanted to see them at least discuss what they went through. And I knew this was probably going to happen, but I'm really sad that Sonic won't get to see the variants of his friends again. They really grew on me and the fact they didn't even have a proper goodbye because of Sonic about to die was really upsetting. Overall, the season was great, made me binge the whole thing. The ending? Not my thing. Compared to the overall show, I was surprised about the way it ended.

We all knew they liked each other. Hera even called Kanan "Babe" or "Dear" a few times. That should suffice.

As much as I enjoyed Sonic Prime, I personally don't like the ending of it. I get that the entire point of the series was to restore everything by putting the paradox prism back together, but I find it really messed up how all those worlds and characters vanished from existence after everything was restored.
I felt for Nine, and wanting to still exist even after everything he went through in New Yoke City growing up. All the other characters as well. They deserved to exist as much as anyone else. However, that also includes Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Rogue as they were meant to be. That is such a dilemma.
Imagine you've lived your entire life only for someone to tell you the universe needs to be reset in order to restore people who lived before you. How would you feel about that? Would you not react in a similar manner to Nine? I know I would. The series doesn't really spend that much time exploring the ethical and moral implication of this, but I get it. It's still worth exploring.
One thing did bother me about the ending though. Maybe I missed something, but it seemed like they implied all the other shatter spaces still existed outside of Green Hill. However, that doesn't seem right as the spaces would have disappeared after Sonic entered Green Hill. And why did Shadow take the prism away? Didn't it need to remain where it was?
    Not a bad series overall.
