Peterson Farms of Nashville top 5 selection of tractor implements for the new tractor owner #kubota #kubotatractors #landpride #tractors #ruralking #farm #mcgtv #challenge
Finally a regular guy who does a way better video then anyone out there! Straight to the point, easy to follow, no that’s what she say, oh here’s the dog! Talks about the gadgets and actually show how to attach and how it works! Please make more videos!
I made a 4’ x 4’ stake box for my carryall. Added two chainsaw holders and an old wire milk-crate for fuel, oil, wedges, etc. It is my firewood shagging attachment. Sides and rear lift off to bring a deer out of the woods.
Thank you so much for doing this video. I am getting ready to buy my first tractor, a compact 35hp, and this really helped me to prioritize what implements to include in my initial purchase. Most helpful video I have found thus far for helping me at this stage of the game. The additional footage of use for all of these items was a big bonus, especially the box grater.....both for gravel and food plot work. Thanks again!
I am going to have to do without a grapple this year too Phil. We have to drill a new well and that is going to hurt. Our well s 816 ft. deep. Last year we replaced the pump which was at 550 ft. When they went to put the pump back down, it hit something at 450 ft., and wouldn't go any further. 1st estimate came in at $36,000 just to drill the well. Moving the pump and hooking everything up is above and beyond that. Full watch and a thumbs up Phil. God Bless. See you for the next one.
Thanks for watching That’s really bad news on the well 🙁 Sorry to hear that and hope you get it resolved Good luck and I really enjoy your Videos! Keep them going
Wow hate to hear about your bad luck! Just curious what elevation are you at, or what region are you located? I'm in north Fl/ south GA, and I've had a well at 23' and mine now which I thought was deep is at 150' because I'm on top of a hill. For us "deep wells" or artesian free flowing wells are usually in the 300'-500' range!
For me, the grapple is #1! The absolute KING! I have forks and I just never use them, but I don't have palletized materials or bulk materials to move at all. The pallets pretty much are my least used implement. I mostly use them for moving deer stands in the woods in the summer and fall. I find the grapple can do everything the forks can, and so much more. My #2 would be the box blade, #3, bush hog! Those are my 3 biggest money makers, I do this for a living and they are my most used attachments. The bucket goes hand in hand with the box blade, but I find my most comments set ups are bucket/box blade and grapple/ bush hog. I don't have a tiller, but I do have disks, and they get used in the hunt clubs also, but rarely for anything else. I wish I had a tiller, that's definitely next on the list!
Thanks for the info. Very helpful. I am probably 2 months out from purchasing a tractor and attachments and liked how you gave your thoughts about what worked for you and showed how you used them. Great job.
I bought the same model in 2018 and acquired the same implements along with a manure spreader. I’ve since purchased a LandPride Rotary Cutter. And this year (2023) I have added a grapple and a LaneShark! Nothing more fun, relaxing and rewarding than managing your own land. Thanks for sharing. Love your videos! 😊 I keep my L3301 and implements inside my polebarn. The best innovation I discovered are pallets with heavy duty wheels attached to set my implements on. And I can switch out implements without any problems.
We are about a week out from ordering our first tractor, and we've been researching this for a year now. When it comes to tractor and implement selection, prioritizing what your using these items for, what jobs you need to do, it's gonna vary from person to person. We are also near Nashville and we'll be purchasing a 25hp that has a loader as standard equipment. Then a flail mower, stump bucket, a box plane, and pallet forks...in that order. That should keep us busy for a minute. Thanks for this video!
Sounds like you have done your research. All great choices and wish you luck in your future tractoring! Please share your experiences with your new purchase Be SAFE ! And Enjoy
Well done sir. Just picked up a L2501 with loader, rear blade, 60" cutter, grappler, and sun/rain shade. All I want now is the quick hitch. I'm near Mt. St. Helen's so big rocks and snow are here to contend with. Enjoyed your video and appreciate your efforts.
Thanks for watching Have fun and be safe with your L2501 Sounds like you have great selection of attachments Quick hitch is great Grapple is still on my want list but so far forks have given me what I need Grapple would be great for brush and controlling some of those bigger logs Share your opinions and observations as you find helpful Phil PFON
My line up: B2601 w/3rd function. Quick attach front/rear. Front end loader, bucket. grapple, 4' bush hog, box blade, root rake. I did about 3-4 months research prior to purchase viewing channels such as yours for reference to figure what implements would suit my needs. The grapple is an incredible tool, you'll love it when you get one.
Great video! The pallet forks are an often overlooked implement - I think they get used more than the bucket on my Kubota. I welded a D ring on mine - gets used all the time for dragging and lifting.
Great video!! You definitely have a good setup there and beautiful homestead. I'm with you on the bucket pallet forks my third would be my befco 6ft finish mower which I use all summer my rear angle blade then bush hog have made little extra money with all and also tiller when I had it. Everyone has a different need for stuff but I only have 4 acres. Thanks for sharing be safe have fun enjoy
You know what cool video top five implements I think everybody's choice is going to be different because your needs are different than someone else's needs I'll tell you what man my favorite implement that I've ever used was a stump grinder attachment mainly because I really did not want the stumps and when I saw how easy it was to take it out with a 50 horse tractor I was like I can't wait to try this on my 75 horse tractor
You`re definitely a newb for sure, but i give you props for getting right into it and learning as you go. We all had to start from somewhere at some point in time. Bless yah! And you`re calling it a "grabble", its actually called a grapple.
Yes you are right Figured that out by accident You are the 1st to mention that Thanks for watching and for sharing Might need to update in a video Great observation Phil PFON
@@PetersonFarmsofNashvillePFON it’s great for holding logs when you buck’em up for firewood, I even used it to lift my new landscape rake implement out of trailer. Cheers

I own a Kubota BX2670. Purchased it with front end loader with bucket, 60 inch belly mower, grapple with third function valve. I would strongly suggest anyone with a Kubota tractor, buying a third-party aftermarket grapple as opposed to land pride, i.e., Kabota grapple; paid far too much for it, and have seen many aftermarket grapples to do much more for less.
Just bought Kioti DK5520 Shuttle. The bucket came along with the loader so I wouldn't exactly count that but it'll be used plenty. Here is my choice of TOP 5: Grapple Brush Hog Tiller BoxBlade Maybe Forks - I don't see myself using them much As of now boxblade and tiller will have to wait year or two for purchase lol.
I’m excited for ya ! You won’t regret it and I hear the Flail Mowers are great! I’m jealous about the Grapple but someday I will get one Please share when you get yours Thanks for watching Have a great Thanksgiving!

Picked up a brand new New Holland 25s last week and right away regret not going bigger. Need to work it out with the dealer to upgrade but I would suggest and recommend to people to go larger than you think to run these implements well.
Cole - I'm pretty excited, I had used old Ford 3000 getting tired working on ( still have probably restore for 2nd tractor ) but I snagged myself Kioti Dk5520 shuttle it'll be here in few days.
Do you plan on getting a backhoe attachment? Do you have plans on getting a post hole auger? Just curious if there are any other attachment you want, could use but don’t have currently… Thanks for the video Great selection by the way!
Would love a back hoe but can’t justify the cost vs use in my situation I still want a grapple I would consider a stump bucket I purchased a grader blade for snow and it worked excellent and paid for itself in just a few snows ! Thanks for watching Phi
Brandon, stay away from a post hole auger. The rear 3pt, has no down pressure so it only works by gravity. If you have any hard pan it does nothing but spin.. I ended up getting rid of mine because it was worthless. I get better results using a harbor freight handheld auger. I think it’s called the predator and it works way better than my big tractor post hole auger ever did.
Welcome to the channel and thanks for watching. I mounted the tool box using the existing fastener nuts that the Kubota box was mounted to Drilled holes thru the bottom of the craftsman tool box and added some 1/2” washers to help make it stable. Does the Job but could use a extra bracket to make it more stable. Have a great evening
I have a grapple that bolts onto the bucket, it's made by ATI corporation I believe. Can put it in and off in about 20mins by myself with a wrench and a 2x4 , plenty rugged and opens and closes like a regular grapple has the hydraulic piston on it and it's quite cheaper then buying a separate grapple don't know if you've ever seen one but worth looking into it. For me I only use the grapple 2-3 times a year so takes up less space and was less expensive and it's plenty strong.
On your snow removal I think if you try your box blade with your bucket you will be much more efficient and fast. Simply tilt your box blade back a bit so as not to dig. Then set your 3pt dept stop to about 1" then just drive forward with you bucket a few inches high and box blade down and you will get a clean path. As you need you will also be able to reverse with the box blade down and push your snow berms back as winter progresses.
@@PetersonFarmsofNashvillePFON just trying to help. I plow with a tractor and box blade here and it works way better than the plow on my pickup. Last yr was a bit difficult tho got 12' of snow and 2" of rain in a week. Best to y'all. Hermit Out
I just recently got into tractors. I've always enjoyed moving dirt but now into my sixties I can't run a shovel like I use to. All good reasoning with your choices. I do envy your quick arrach feature, my 2003 Deere x575 is pin on. Thanks for sharing
I have a tiller and will be looking for a box blade soon. I also plan on offering my services for a little extra money. What is a reasonable price to charge? Thanks, and great video!
Thanks for watching and sharing! I love both my Tiller and Box blade My tiller works well in getting Garden Jobs but the Box blade more than doubles your opportunities to get Jobs like drive ways Yard grading and seeding Along with breaking up those tough hard plots using the box cutters so the tiller can do it’s job Price wise it all depends on time and going rate You have to feel the local market out but here some advice from expiernce If Jobs are close enough to drive tractor then I can reduce price by almost 50% If I have to trailer equipment then I charge a hour to load and unload plus travel time Don’t cut yourself short there because it’s a lot of work and fuel ain’t cheap anymore But usually I go and check new jobs out and quote a price after I see what it is Trailer $100.00 Hourly $ 75-100 depending if it’s a existing or new ground for a garden Make sure your insurance covers you and your Tractor off property Hope that helps Sounds like maybe another video opportunity 😁 Good luck and Tractor On !
@@PetersonFarmsofNashvillePFON thank you very much for the info. I also just picked up an auger today. Looking forward to trying that out soon. Great job on the videos, I've watched a few of them. Thank you again.
Regarding that 'Carry All' implement, check out the guy "DIY My Way" channel, he made a really nifty setup on it, to carry all his power tools and such around his property, to go out and do work in his woods, etc.
Thanks for watching watching and sharing Will check out DIY my Way Sounds like we have similar ideas I use a IBC tote with my carry all And working on making a tool crib with one Phil PFON
I guess it depends on what you need to get done. I think growing hay you need bigger stuff. That's my goal anyways and a bale spear would be better than a lot those
So I don't know if you using your carry all the way it was designed I always thought you build a box round it for moving tools and wood and what not. But maybe I'm wrong
Yes your right But I had som IBC totes They are lighter than wood and cost less also So I thought I would give it a try Works great for my needs so far Thanks for watching and sharing Phil PFON
I’m learning tractors and just got a 2013 L4600. I’m looking at implements this week and thinking about pallet forks for the loader and the 3 point hitch. Also, a flail mower with diamond knives. A rear blade and grapple would also be awesome!! I understand that the tractors can lift more on the 3 point hitch than the front loader. I am curious about that! Oh and I already have a loader and bucket. Thanks for the video!!
Almost did the same but my Kubota dealer walked me thru what I really needed I still would have gone with a 40 HP Knowing what I know now but I have been very pleased with my current tractor 👍
Land pride qh15 is not the greatest. Stopped using mine, unlike the John Deere quick attach you need to purchase special sleeves to adapt it to your implements. Sleeves are not common and almost impossible to find. Watch my neighbour with his John Deere quick attach, way better system. In retrospect I think I would still go with my kubota but get all John Deere implements.
You can get sleeves at TSC. Not sure where you live but easy to get here. The Kubota dealer gave me all the sleeves for the implements I bought at the time and through in some extras. No issues here with the QH15!
Grapple A tool attached to your front loader in lieu of a bucket which has a clamshell like motion that is best suited for grabbing a pile of brush or logs with your front loader on the tractor Requires a 3rd function or diverter valve in order to operate it from your loader stick. Thanks for watching Phil PFON
For me wish i would of just started with the tracked skid loader and skipped the tractor phase. Bucket on the tractor compared to the skid loader is worthless in my opinion
First of all thank you for sharing this knowledge with all of us. I'm shopping for a new tractor and I'm doing my very best to become as educated as I can before I make this purchase. Videos like the one that you have done help people like me make a more informed and intelligent decision. I think that I am going with the Kioti RX7320PC
Thanks for the kind words I’m always learning as well and always listening to others and thier opinions Sounds like you have made a great tractor choice ! Good luck but most of all be safe 1st ! Let me know how it works out for you 👍 Phil PFON
Dealership and service are just as important. Things are going to happen, your going to need filters and parts and whatnot so aslong as you find a good dealer that's half the battle. Few years back my dad got a John Deere 1023e and there was a $1500 difference between the two Deere dealerships within 1hr from each other. Quick attach bucket is important too, some models have pinned on bucket, quick attach is a must.
Awesome video brother. No nonsense, down to Earth, showing the function of each implement. This is the way videos SHOULD be !
I appreciate that! That was my intention thanks for sharing

Thanks for the suggestion
Will check it out 👍
I need this tractor 😀
The implement I use the most is the grapple I use it more than the bucket. I don't do gravel drives so I don't have boxblade
Would love to have a grapple for sure
On your snow removal I think if you try your box blade with your bucket you will be much more efficient and fast. Simply tilt your box blade back a bit so as not to dig. Then set your 3pt dept stop to about 1" then just drive forward with you bucket a few inches high and box blade down and you will get a clean path. As you need you will also be able to reverse with the box blade down and push your snow berms back as winter progresses.
Thanks for the advice!
@@PetersonFarmsofNashvillePFON just trying to help. I plow with a tractor and box blade here and it works way better than the plow on my pickup. Last yr was a bit difficult tho got 12' of snow and 2" of rain in a week. Best to y'all.

you don’t have to justify anything, if you want it buy it! My favorite attachment is the grapple.
I like your Motto !
I just recently got into tractors. I've always enjoyed moving dirt but now into my sixties I can't run a shovel like I use to. All good reasoning with your choices. I do envy your quick arrach feature, my 2003 Deere x575 is pin on. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching and sharing your comments
Jd has thier quick attach system
Not sure if it’s retrofittable ?
But it is a great feature
I have a tiller and will be looking for a box blade soon. I also plan on offering my services for a little extra money. What is a reasonable price to charge? Thanks, and great video!
Thanks for watching and sharing!
I love both my Tiller and Box blade
My tiller works well in getting Garden Jobs but the Box blade more than doubles your opportunities to get Jobs like drive ways
Yard grading and seeding
Along with breaking up those tough hard plots using the box cutters so the tiller can do it’s job
Price wise it all depends on time and going rate
You have to feel the local market out but here some advice from expiernce
If Jobs are close enough to drive tractor then I can reduce price by almost 50%
If I have to trailer equipment then I charge a hour to load and unload plus travel time
Don’t cut yourself short there because it’s a lot of work and fuel ain’t cheap anymore
But usually I go and check new jobs out and quote a price after I see what it is
Trailer $100.00
Hourly $ 75-100 depending if it’s a existing or new ground for a garden
Make sure your insurance covers you and your Tractor off property
Hope that helps
Sounds like maybe another video opportunity 😁
Good luck and Tractor On !
@@PetersonFarmsofNashvillePFON thank you very much for the info. I also just picked up an auger today. Looking forward to trying that out soon. Great job on the videos, I've watched a few of them. Thank you again.
Can I lower my midmount mower without lowering the 3 point linkage with an implement on?
I do not know
My L3301 does not have an midmount
Regarding that 'Carry All' implement, check out the guy "DIY My Way" channel, he made a really nifty setup on it, to carry all his power tools and such around his property, to go out and do work in his woods, etc.
Thanks for watching watching and sharing
Will check out DIY my Way
Sounds like we have similar ideas
I use a IBC tote with my carry all
And working on making a tool crib with one

I want a flail mower/mulcher but the prices have gone out of my budget since the pandemic.
Yes the Flail mower looks like a great implement
Everything is so much more $$$
Even used equipment!
Hope you find one 👍
I guess it depends on what you need to get done. I think growing hay you need bigger stuff. That's my goal anyways and a bale spear would be better than a lot those
Yes I agree
So I don't know if you using your carry all the way it was designed I always thought you build a box round it for moving tools and wood and what not. But maybe I'm wrong
Yes your right
But I had som IBC totes
They are lighter than wood and cost less also
So I thought I would give it a try
Works great for my needs so far

Already love you. You might be Kin if your family is from PA or moved up here. LOL.. Kabota
Thanks for watching 😁
Was the water tote full? How much weight will the tractor lift
Thanks for watching
Tote was about 1/2 full
About 100 gallons
Tractor will lift about 1200lbs
I’m learning tractors and just got a 2013 L4600. I’m looking at implements this week and thinking about pallet forks for the loader and the 3 point hitch. Also, a flail mower with diamond knives. A rear blade and grapple would also be awesome!! I understand that the tractors can lift more on the 3 point hitch than the front loader. I am curious about that! Oh and I already have a loader and bucket. Thanks for the video!!
Another "accessory" to consider would be a hydraulic top link for your 3 point.
Yes 👍
The thing with front loader grabbers is they add weight to your bucket, reducing the amount you can carry..
Valid Point !
Get a better tractor
That’s why I married a farmer… I will never be snowed in… because he had a tractor with 4 wheel drive and a loader.
Tractors are great
Thanks for watching and sharing!
QH15 quick attach, will sure break ya tail light out!
Yes they will !
Thanks for watching
A grabble? Haha
Top 3 in no order: Bucket, Grapple, Forks. Use all 3 almost everyday when on the tractor.
Sounds like a great selection for sure !
3 years ago i went with the RK25. Bad bad mistake
Almost did the same but my Kubota dealer walked me thru what I really needed
I still would have gone with a 40 HP Knowing what I know now but I have been very pleased with my current tractor 👍
Please explain what is a grapple.
A implement with a lower and upper Jaw that can clamp down to hold brush or a log

Looks like the hooks on your front bucket are upside down
Your right !
QH, is Quick Hitch , not Quick Loader ;)
Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks for watching and sharing!
Have a great weekend!

You can get sleeves at TSC. Not sure where you live but easy to get here. The Kubota dealer gave me all the sleeves for the implements I bought at the time and through in some extras. No issues here with the QH15!
Whats a grabble
Grapple
A tool attached to your front loader in lieu of a bucket which has a clamshell like motion that is best suited for grabbing a pile of brush or logs with your front loader on the tractor Requires a 3rd function or diverter valve in order to operate it from your loader stick.

For me wish i would of just started with the tracked skid loader and skipped the tractor phase. Bucket on the tractor compared to the skid loader is worthless in my opinion
Downside of a skid steer is you can’t see behind and can’t use three-point hitch attachments. But for bucket and pallet work they rule.
#3 IS BULL SHIT, NOT HEAVY ENOUGH, I might be wrong, but the utility attachments, is not thar tough enough!!
Thanks for watching
Have a great week!

Thanks for the kind words
I’m always learning as well and always listening to others and thier opinions
Sounds like you have made a great tractor choice !
Good luck but most of all be safe 1st !
Let me know how it works out for you 👍

Dealership and service are just as important. Things are going to happen, your going to need filters and parts and whatnot so aslong as you find a good dealer that's half the battle. Few years back my dad got a John Deere 1023e and there was a $1500 difference between the two Deere dealerships within 1hr from each other. Quick attach bucket is important too, some models have pinned on bucket, quick attach is a must.
unless you are on pavement or a construction site r4 tires are junk
you was only packing the snow down with bucket and in reverse was not removing it
