Wait. I'm confused. Why are you cranking the engine to check for fuel flow on your fuel pump inlet? That has no pump to push the fuel out. To check it put the hose below rhe fuel tank to see if it will pour fuel. Gravity will check that issue. And checking for fuel coming out of the vacuum line is another waste of time. You check for vacuum from the hose coming our of the valve cover hose. Maybe I'm misunderstanding something but ....

If the battery is weak the glow plugs will not get to the proper temp in order to start the diesel. Also if one of X glow plugs are bad, it will cause excessive cranking to get the engine firing.

That’s either a groundhog or a big rat.

Do you still have the clamps on there? My bolts are so rusted the heads are just falling apart. I’m thinking about cutting the heads off and using the clamps. Or maybe weld a nut to them and try that but my guess is that the bolts are going to break.

My buddy had a Mahindra hydro clutch roll while he was on it, thank god he was ok but that tractor held shape just ran a little rough for 20 minutes
