    Please don't use cleaning liquid for Automatic Gearboxes for ZF its not allow for it, because of the seals, they are not suitable with aggressive cleaner.
    ZF Gearboxes are only to clean with Oil (ZF-Oil for example).
    For ZF Gearbox you normally need to use 15L Oil (or more) to change (clean) all the old stuff from it.
    Cleaning with so much Oil to this point the old and new oil looks same.
    Greetings from Germany✌️😁✌️

      Yeah it might start to slip or you might clog oil channels, also you should not do enginw flush.

      @@vetkosgarage6165 The way cars are serviced depends on where they are driven. Example is a timing belt. Some cars say you should replace it between 180000km and 240000km. The thing is it only depends on the conditions. Oil is a cylinder wall cleaner, and if fuel is shit the oil gets all the stuff into itself. Meaning an engine flush is not that bad for ex old cars with high milage to remove all the warnish or for diesel engines running on low quaolity fuel with loads of sluphor. The world is not ideal, people run newer cars on heating oil. Had an 2009 E220CDI come in for a service, the thing was run on heating oil. The engine oil smelled so bad, the fuel filter was clocged up etc

    For my '99 M3 I drop the pan and change fluid for ~$140. Seven liters of Pentosin ATF and a filter. Have to fill and check with engine running from underneath (no dipstick). I have the car on ramps and my 3 ton floor jack in place for extra safety. Easy.

    Absolutely do not put a cleaner into the transmission. Oil is enough to flush out the dirt, it will attack the clutches

      You don't clean oils with acids. You clean them with alkali solutions. Those don't cause rust or attack metal in any way. Anway it's probably just another oil with much lower viscosity with added detergent.

      Yeah I agree unless the manufactuer certifes the use of it. The flush , pan drop and filter change will remove 95% of all the crap in the trans. Anything still in the trans will end up in the filter or just in circulation in the oil like the oil is designed to do. Also I would never use a flush machine on fluid that dark. Either do drop and fills 3 times with a pan drop on the last drop and fill or use the trans pump to pump the fluid out while adding fluid at the same time. Then do a pan drop and filter change. To many issues of people getting flushes and the tech mixing up the lines destroying the trans.

    So, a trans flush is $349?

    • @linuxlinux9914
      @linuxlinux9914 3 года назад +3

      For a bmw thats not bad. That zf trans fluid is like 10-15$ a quart with the min of 8-12 qts half of the cost is just trans fluid. Also on most of these bmws the pan is not reuseable since the filter is built in. Also this probably took around a hour to 2 hours to complete. Never trust a place that does a trans flush for 50-99$ because either they are not doing a flush or they are using a cheap atf that probably has no certifications for your transmission. Back in the day shops that did cheap flushs used the same atf in every transmission and just added a tiny bottle of additives. It was a scam and most people ended up with a blow transmission or a trans that wouldn't move because the fluid wasn't the right one used.
