      @theoriginaljohngalt2450 I hope you're not somebody's boss. You would be responsible for a lot of subpar quality work. Subpar quality work results in more lost revenue than someone taking their time to do the job right and make sure the car actually works. That's the whole point is the car is coming to be fixed.

    wow nice cleaning those drain ports, I wish the actual Mercedes dealers would do that on every service but they don't. even though it can get clogged easily and cause so much damage but I guess the more damage it do the more money the dealer gets

      We just know where to clean in every model. It's a drain rubber tube you must unclog with your fingers most of the times blindly because is not easy to see it. It's usually 1 minute job if you know how. Ofcourse in some models you have to do a lot of job to reach to the water drains.

      Depending on where you are in the world, there is more or less rust and corrosion which causes binding and seized components. In most places that experience snow in the winter and salt near the ocean it is common for brake pads and calipers and the bracket to rust and corrode until the brakes seize and stick together.

    • @Andy-uh6fs
      @Andy-uh6fs 2 года назад

      It doesn't do anything for preventing brake noise putting lube on the ends. If you prep/clean the mating surfaces it should be okay. For this style of brakes the painted coating surface of brake pad contact points is designed to prevent noise. I've never put lube on the ends of any brake job and only put on caliper contact points. No comebacks for noises complaints. Just use good quality parts and prepping /cleaning is key! The most bothering thing is he didn't resurface or replace the rotors, big no no for a brake job!

  • @Italiano9091

    The sliding surface between the brake caliper and pads must be lubricated (preferably with a brush. Which also was included in your blue package)
    The piston‘s surface must be lubed as well.
    Also the sliding pins should NOT be lubricated: Check official documentation of ATE.
    The brake caliper should be removed and cleaned properly. Otherwise you will scratch the surface of the rotor.
    The side skirts might have been damaged by your hoist….
    Please infor yourself properly before you do any brake job.
    I wouldn’t trust you repairing my son’s bobbycar

    Slowest prep for a pad slap🤦‍♂️🤣 and for all of those "mechanics" that say the rotors are fine... you've never heard of material transfer... small brake pad particles in bed into the rotors and cause brake noise with new pads... we always replace rotors with a brake job, that's a 100% quality service, none of this pad slap bs... also i didn't see him put any lube on the ears of the pads where they ride on the bracket, just cause it's on RUclips, and he works slow as a snail doesn't mean it's a proper service...
