I drove 1935 EPS for two years and was never satisfied. High consumption, lazy at shifting.
Later 1948, same story.

Überleg dir mal, da ist das für die da unten anscheinend tatsächlich billiger, den Karren mit übelster Bastelei auf Schaltgetriebe umzubauen, anstatt das vorhandene Automatikgetriebe einfach nur zu reparieren, was da unten wahrscheinlich eh keiner kann🙈

En mi empresa todos los camiones son automáticos , 997000 kilómetros el mío , 1410000 un compañero ,otro 1700000 otro , y no dan problemas las cajas automaticas y funcionan genial .

They weld the propeller shaft and I think the welded part on the propeller shaft may break due to high torque when shifting gears while carrying truck load.
Any way they did good job.

The gear level looked abnormally pointed horizontal and not vertical.
No brother. It is perfectly working, it just got little horizontal instead of vertical. If the gear is shifted easily and working properly then the direction doesn’t matter much.

Todo bien pero mezclar aceite de diferencial 85w140 con aceite hidraulico 68 para la caja mecanica me da que pensar , cuando debería llevar un 80w-90 o 75w-90 gl-4 , me parece que la caja que pusieron esta desgastada se debió hacer una mantenimiento completo antes....

How much costs this job, from automatic to manual? I mean without parts, only mechanic how much they get for this work
Usually the mechanic charge 150 US Dollars for this job and this all process with parts worth up to 3000 US Dollars. Here in Pakistan and Afghanistan the mechanics are too cheap and the parts of the trucks too.
Maybe, because of the magnitude of the work, half the price of the components. Could be less of course, depends of the vehicle. I think it is worth because manual transmissions are more reliable.
@@Pakistani-Hands Oh man, that makes me sad. It was working 7-8 men on this truck. That's roughly 20 Dollars per person. Working in this hot area without any protection and these skills are mind blowing with only basic tools. That's very hard-earned money. hopefully situation it will change in that part of the world. In Europe you can't find anyone who will even try something like this for any money. Even if you find, that will be job of few months and probably it will cost more than to buy manual truck.

You guessed it wrong bro. You need to watch this properly. For your information it is not just about replacing the gearbox. This process requires the complete replacement of the gearbox and the installation of manual clutch plate, after that it needs clutch paddle and clutch box. To make the clutch functional it needs air pressure system, so the installation of pipeline from gearbox to clutch plate is another requirement. Besides it needs gear lever installation and replacement of gear lever. And then the manual gearbox size is little larger than the automatic one. So the truck drive shaft needs to be minimised. So it all needs a master mechanic to proper operate this process. And then they need support.

Fixing the problems in automatic gearbox is a challenge for these mechanics. As automatic trucks are too rare in this area. So they go for shifting it to manual
