- So we recently reached 1000 unique Killer builds in nighlight.gg, becoming the #1 player in the last 30 days and #3 in the all-time leaderboard! This was a pretty fun challenge and this video features the best matches we played during it.

Honestly, with how much distance the Mikaela in the first Nemesis game was making in every chase, even when they were on flat ground and before all gens were completed, it really feels like they were a subtle speed hacker who was using Balanced Landing and Hope in an effort to hide their exploits.

This Nemesis game reminded me of "The All Perk Streak" being on Thompson House again, heading into an incredible end game that seems to be nothing but losable and the only way to tell how the ending went was by watching the full thing play out. What a heart pumping game you've given to us just like the All Perk Streak videos a year ago.

There are currently 35 Kilers, meaning 105 perks + basekit perks = 118. Meaning there are 118*117*116*115 = 184,172,040 Unique Builds in total (minus the used onces)
And yet every killer will still run Sloppy Butcher + Pain Res + Bamboozle + Corrupt Intervention every single game

@baronvonbunghole5999 I'd rather have Discordance if I'm just running at people like an ape to M1 them. Corrupt only does so much, my monkey brain lights up when I see a yellow highlighted generator.

I saw a post on the forums that anti-tunneling “cannot be used aggressively” and I’d like that user to watch the Oni match lol
Hell, I encounter FAR more survivors using anti-tunneling perks to just be a nuisance, than survivors that are genuinely using them as a defensive tool.
Otr, DS and basekit BT must be disabled if used as protective action. Devs have a counting system for that type of hits, and forced penance works perfectly with them. So they already have a working mechanic to disable all aggressive usage of anti tunneling. They just dont want to, because this problem is only appears at high lvl of the game.
Everytime you see someone saying something like "the game is balanced", "this game is killer sided", "anti-tunneling perks cannot be used aggresively" or things like that...They're survivor mains. It's very easy to spot people who only play as survivor and pretend they play as killers when they defend something like the Oni match
@@MrPendalv Nah...Basekit BT needs to disappear already, anyone who plays this game enough knew survivors were going to abuse the 10 second of immunity when devs decided to add that "mechanic" in the game, in EGC situations is a free escape and the rest on the times is just a perk to abuse having immunity and defend the rescuer (Specially if it's injured) to avoid giving the killer another down/power/punishing survivors mistakes
@@MrPendalv they would have to change what counts as a protection hit, as protection hits trigger for taking a hit for an injured survivor that is within 10m, so if your rescuer is injured, you would be immediately downable again

nemesis games are always unpredictable man i had a game with him yesterday that i screwed up first chase by going to shack so they could pop two gens on me without a down and i was SO sure that it was a loss, then i somehow turned it around and got a 4k out of it
Right now, there are too many obsession based perks for the killer which even allow the killer to manipulate the choice of obsession at will. Survivors only have FTP and DS that swap obsessions against the killer, but only do so by becoming the obsession themselves. Things really need to change. That is why we need a new survivor perk I call "Bestow" which makes you the obsession but tags another survivor of your choice with the obsession status instead. After adding some buffs to the chosen survivor, you now have a chance at competing with these annoying killer obsession builds which already add layers of complexity to games.

Only difference was that survivor, that was downed, "point-teched" me the moment he got picked up. and because of that he easily escaped
i think it would be good if the running animation blended into a faster running animation when they go over 100% speed, kinda like myers' hand opening but instead for survivors running. it would make haste perks and subtle cheaters a little more obvious
i once ran a spirit on that hill in forest for 3 gens, killers hate that hill more than swamp main building
Otz using the duck sound as a censor is throwing me off. I had that exact same sound as my alarm in the morning for like 5 years straight 😂

@@robertoantoniello3268 honor is the american spelling variant, and otz is EU, so they're probably saying they believe you since you're probably EU
cross-region games can occasionally happen afaik though, and it's not like there's only 4 EU players, so it still feels a bit weird to me
@@firstlast2206 I'm sorry, probably i misunderstood. Yes i think honour with u is the British version of the verb. I'm italian and in that match, which i played something like one week ago or less, i was in SoloQ. Pingman is a russian player, he also has a youtube channel, but i can't tell about the others. At first obviously i didn't realize i came across him due to the streamer mode, but when this video was uploaded an italian, not even a friend of mine, sent a message and he told me about the fact. I know i can't prove it though.
I really believe that healing infront of the killer as a smart play is one of the stupidest things in the game
Hey Otz! Love your content. I haven't play DbD in roughly a year and a half, but I still really enjoy watching your videos. They are a comfort zone for me.
I watch some of them while working on remote and the Tier list or game update related videos I can play them as a podcast. I had a game during the rubber banding with lethal I saw someone go into basement I went down checked all corners first then opened every locker with Iron Maiden even with the speed I lost two gens and they weren’t there still have no clue if they were hacking or really glitchy.

I remember when I was making my "unique" survivor build, and I felt really open with things that weren't meta, so I ended up playing off of Otz's Autodidact built with Autodidact, Empathy, Fast Track, and Smash Hit. Then I went to do the same for killer, but man, I was struggling to find success with anything that was in Otz' lower 2 tiers of Killer perks (from his 7.4 tier list on the website). I ended up running Surge, BBQ or NTH, Grim Embrace, and Lethal.
Thats just 4 meta perks lol
@@gravityhacks1879 Yeah, my point was that Killer perks really either fall into the top 10 really good perks, and the rest are either nerfed into being bad or don't do anything useful to begin with.
Yeah killers can't afford to play "non meta" perks. If you play any killer that's not Nurse/Blight without gen defence perks, you will heavily loose (unless you play against non efficient survivors). That's why if you want to play more chill and with different non meta perks, you just play as survivor to have wins (And even if you dont win, you will still have easier games)
I love trying new builds. I really like to made science it up, see what value I can attain with oddball perks and whatnot. Big ups for 1k+ builds!

Otz I have used a build for quite a while on killer and I believe it is a good build for most killers: overcharge eruption surge and hex huntress lullaby

would be interesting if they made a counter how many already on the site vs total possible, considering that number is easily found with just n*n-1*n-2*n-3 with n being the at that point current amount of perks

I haven't played DBD seen it updated to Unreal 5, but I still do enjoying watching. Once the game becomes more stable, I'll probably open it up.
It's pretty stable now. Some people are still reporting rubberbanding, but it hasn't happened to me since the most recent bugfix patch.
Between people who can play the game but experience heavy gameplay issues (the famous "rubberbanding") and the people who literally can't run the game anymore, one expect the problems would be fixed already after 3 weeks...But with this devs, you can't expect anything from people who are clearly not capable to do their job.

Hello Otz! Given Blight's double Iri add-ons and improved collision, do you still think he's second to Nurse? I went from maining Nurse to Blight about a year ago. Upon reaching a certain threshold of consistency with Blight, I've found that my matches were much easier and quicker on average even after his add-on reworks. We just reset and in almost 5 matches, Lethal, BBQ, Grim were together. 4th perk whatever, but these three combined make tunneling crazy mad easy. Start game 25% chance I picking the right one. Chances raised. Gen gets done, 100% to find that one and tunnel of you hadn't before. (SPOILER: They likely did before)

That second team only lost because they over-committed to one gen. If they'd spread out and worked on multiple it would have been a four out.
Fun fact even before he was grinding for this challenge, approximately 1 in 3 of his uploads happened to be a unique build on the site 🤯
