- This video is compilation of several matches where our Survivors decided to send us to a particular map with the use of map offerings. Some of them were easy, some of them were hard, but all of them were extremely annoying.

I feel like this is a game that is more fun to watch then to play.
As someone that stopped playing because of the awful community, you are 100% correct.
It has its ups and downs when playing - but it’s always fun to watch imo.
But when you’re playing and every card you have in your hand aligns so to speak, and your build works the exact way you wanted it to, it’s like heroine

@@riastradh It's about context, tea bagging after stunning in a pallet, blinding, etc. or at the open exit gates right before escaping is disrespectful. Tea bagging in front of an impossible to open gate after giving up a chase can be respectful, just like tea bagging to another survivor that just healed you or you healed them... It's about context, people shouldn't judge everything equally
Its really cool that some of these survivors can accept that a bot would be better for their teams than themselves
The bots are pretty solid when it comes to certain things. You cant really mindgame them, they just know where you are 😂

Bots are really solid unless you need them to save because they like actively avoid the terror radius in that regard
bro but geniuinely some bots are more useful than like 50% of the people in soloq
They can occasionally do saves, occasionally do gens, but as long as the map layout is good they can loop killers for days if the killer focuses on them! Can’t rely on them for saves though 😅 they seemingly prioritize avoiding the terror radius
So all in all better than players usually in solo que (of which most go hide somewhere and wait for everyone to did 💀 or just suck at everything)
the most effective way to win these match ups its to always find and target the person who sent you there. as the otzdarva law states the person who brought the map offering is always the first one to dc if it goes bad. gl with your matches :)
Fun idea but sadly the person that used the map offering also always brings the best perks suited for it so it's always risky! - Just pretend it's an unlucky map and play your best anyway!
the bots play better than the people who use map offerings, best to keep them in play

If you attempt to prove it, Otzdarva's Law breaks down. Otzdarva's Law only applies when you don't know who picked the offering, as they might DC because *another survivor* does poorly.

Map users tend to complain a lot about tryharding when they tip the scale before the match even started
0:20 Chucky trying to get the video demonetised... The truest evil of all the killers.
- Last minute character/flashlight swap 4 man squad
- Map offering + hatch or Unhook build
-Background player or Unbreakable build + pallet save spam
-Flashlight spam and T bags while swarming downed/ hooked survivors
Then they get mad when someone makes a misplay turning it into 3 or 4 kill game, accuses the killer of "camping or tunneling" when they won't let you even leave the hook.
I always apply this rule to these kinds of squads that just won't let you pick-up or hook: if you don't want me to pick someone up, I won't. Ever. I can let you all rest on the ground eternally. It'll take forever, but hey, it's what you wanted
Just stop caring what they are thinking about your playstyle. If you are having fun fck them

Map Offerings should instead *remove* the realm chosen from the RNG roll. Back when the game was first introduced, that wasn't feasible as burning 5 different map offerings could cause problems, but now there's enough realms to support it.
No, there are 33 maps and that number is increasing, so that would be unfeasible. Instead what could be done is changing the values, so that it's not guaranteed, but it's more than likely.
If we do it your way, sacrificial ward would literally become useless, as it would cancel out the map cancels, and then you'd still be stuck with a 3.3% to land on that map.
Which is a way better alternative than being able to be sent to a map
Alternatively, they could introduce custom lobbies into public dbd, where some maps are either less likely or cannot appear.
@@Yanramich Map offerings only send you to specified *realms*, not specific maps. There are only 20 realms, and there's 49 maps, so not sure where you got the number 33.
Making Sacrificial Wards useless is also not the worst thing in the world - they've retired offerings and items in the past. Or just give it a different effect, like cancelling the effect of Map Modification offerings - basement, hatch location, hook frequency, etc.

@@Denvigen I mean, assholes is a bit much of a word for just map offerings alone.
The issue is more about a fair amount of people who use map offerings are rather playing the game to annoy the killer, than to get enjoyment out of "normal" survivor gameplay. Basically, a certain amount of them has a whole mentality about having fun by ruining the killers fun, and map offerings are just one way to do that.
Now, of course not every survivor who uses map offerings is bad because of it, many just want to have an easier time on an easier map and choose one that simply isn't fun for the killer. They are not nice, but not on purpose.
Map offerings simply can be an annoying feature, depending how they are used.
And win despite the Otz? Don't speak of yourself like that, man, you're a great dude and not too bad at the game!
I could see the argument that tbagging is a way of agro so the killer chases you. The problem lies in the response to that agro, if you fail its even more embarrassing.
Still relatively new but in my opinion bully squads have the most fragile egos. People see high end bully squads memeing on the killer and want to replicate it but if they don't have the fundamentals they're really easy to throw on hooks. They're always greedy, neglect objectives, and tilt out almost instantly when they lose control.
The objective part is because they're not there for them. Plenty of them say after sweaty matches they just want to spice things up

Survivor groups in general have fragile ego. Very rare you can find a couple of good sports. I joined a lot of random people in discord and the amount whining for every little thing is unreal.
While that is absolutely true for a lot of players, in my opinion people who use the term "bully squad" unironically tend to have some ego issues as well. I don't care how frustrating and obnoxious certain playstyles in this game are, it's still a game and nothing that happens during a match can/ should be classified as bullying
@@kaib6998They’re called bully squads because their main purpose is to annoy you, aggravate you, waste your time, and all around pick on you. They’re TRYING to be mean. And once taken out they either dc or leave you horrible messages in end game chat. What else would you call it? It’s not entirely literal but it is technically bullying just of a lighter degree as you won’t see them again usually..but they are trying to pick on you and be jerks
Otz is such a nice guy his villain arc is him saying "I hate you" and then apologizing while editing.
now that maps are in the spotlight id like to mention that sacrificial wards are too few in the higher blood webs
This is why I think they should be changed to a yellow rarity, them being green means they're in the massive pool of green offerings which includes all the map offerings. This is also why some people make the argument that bloody party streamers should be an increased rarity
I’m a constant Sacrifical Ward user and the amount of times I’ve fucked up a Scratched Mirror Myers’ plan is hilarious. Also for some reason huntress/ blight always wants to go to McMillan and survivors want to go to Auto Haven 🤣
they defs need to be more common considering the absolute bloat of map offerings in the web along with it and them being all the same rarity. you're more likely to see map offerings in the green rarity slot than a sac ward and its rly annoying

I agree, I wish that either map offerings would be changed or removed or that sac wards would be a brown offering or at least significantly more common that map offerings
Sacrificial ward should be more common. Then it would be up to either party to burn it and if you don’t then don’t complain about the map offering. I’ve had countless ppl cry about my Scratched Mirror Myers cause I burn RPD or Midwhich, I’ve had even triple the amount of killers (usually Billy, Bubba, Wesker, other M1 killers) who get salty end game and say we only won cause of the Gideon offering. Like okay….so you’re saying had it been a map that would benefit you then you would win…ironic.

I had a bully squad a few days ago while playing as Sadako. I caught on and just chased them demateralized, and they couldn't head on or body block.
58 minutes of Otz removing his soft gloves and giving the survivors a 1-2 of whoopass

I feel like I might be biased since I'm more of a casual player but I actually enjoy having map offerings since it allows me to play in maps I like (RPD or the "Welcome to Canada" one for example while playing either as a killer or a survivor). Some player might use them because "Meta" but surely most people use them because they just like the map right?...right?
BTW, this video was awesome as always!
Same, sometimes I want to see the cool science lab (Hawkins) or see the daylight after a bunch of dreary green Autohaven maps (Coldwind/Ormund). Theyre great to have right now too with certain realms boosted for the anniversary weeks so you don't just see the same 3 realms on repeat
@@lunaliciousgeekI almost never use map offerings. But this week I've already used more than I did in the last 7 years because I'm getting tired of having the Vecna map 95% of the games (without any offerings involved)

That first Unknown match reminded me of a somewhat recent match I had where the survivors were doing the same thing.
I love the way you play Killer, you don’t show your frustration because you know the game and what the survivors are doing. It’s admirable to me, because I get easily frustrated as Killer, and I need to remind myself that the game IS based on luck

I feel like lately, more and more survivors have been using map offerings too. Out of my 17 killer games yesterday, 13/17 of them survivors had brought strong map offerings. So frustrating.

I've never been bothered by map offerings. There aren't any particular maps that are bad for killer, but there are some that are just really small or have few resources on them and arent fun to play. For the most part- when I have trouble, it's not because of the map I'm on- it's the people I play against

Map offerings should really work completely opposite of how they do. Making it so an offering tremendously decreases the chance of being sent to a map you don’t want would be much healthier.

Toxic survivors who like to teabag and taunt you with ggez aside. The game at its current state with overwhelming number of bots and subtle cheaters that has taken root of the system. I am still blessed to see a miracle that otz still streaming the game.

Map offerings doesn't mean automatically that they want to rig the luck to their side. We use map offerings so we can practice on the different maps.
i played a match against a swf yesterday. they sent themselfes to a very survivor-sided map and used strong items. i was just chillin, listening to some music throughout the trail, but got really heated when they started talking trash in the post game chat after barely getting out. i guess all i wanna say is that Kenny is not the only clown in dbd

They should reverse the use of map offerings so that the offering makes it so that you cant get the specified map
It sounds like a good idea in theory, but players would intentionally use that to troll and be annoying.
Let's say a new chapter comes out with a new map, and players want to try it.
Some cheeky bastards would use the offering for the new map, every single time just to mess with people.
I think neither party should be able to choose a map at all.
Because the ones actually use map offerings, are killers with really fkn annoying builds that only work on certain maps.
Or annoying survivors that want to run 20 loops on badham.

This is why I've started bringing sacrificial wards as a survivor. It prevents sweaty killers and sweaty survivors trying to get every advantage they can.

Some of my favorite games are when survivors send me to midwich, game, and haddonfield cause I love shooting through ceilings as unknown and they never expect it

It's a little sad how reliant survivors can be on certain maps and how many survivors would just quit DBD on the spot if map offerings were removed.
Whenever I play with friends we will use map offerings but usually only to RPD as a meme because we all hate the map lol. Will also do it sometimes with new friends to help get them used to a smaller pool of maps while they learn the first few matches.
You know otz dislikes them when the names aren't censored or hidden
