I don’t play DND much personally. But ima need for Lore and stories and DND is so rich with just potential in fantasy. As a writer I’ve written, created and expanded concepts, for characters and even full campaigns. That’s a whole story. But Vecna is such a big icon in the whole universe. Man I’d love to make a brutal campaign for people using him.
Honestly, I don't feel it needs a nerf. It is effective, but it doesn't prevent the pallet that was lifted from being immediately thrown down again, so it rewards the Killer for taking advantage of the Survivor urge to run after predropping due to imagining the Killer will have to lose distance to breaking or going around a dropped pallet. A Survivor who is ready for Mage Hand can stick around for a second and drop the pallet right on Vecna's head for a stun, with Mage Hand also on cooldown, at which point a Vecna might counter-counter play by seeing the Survivor not running, back up to avoid the stun, and swap to Flight of the Damned to get an injury while the Survivor is locked in the pallet dropping animation. Things shouldn't be nerfed just because the majority of Survivors haven't learned (or refuse to learn) counterplay to a Killer's Powers.
Not to mention the fact that treasure chests are extremely common and quick to open, so if you see a Vecna getting lots of Mage Hand value, you can search Treasure Chests until you find the boots or gloves (since you only need one to get the effect) that give you 5% Haste when Vecna uses Mage Hand, allowing you to not give up as much distance without forcing the Vecna to also attempt to use Dispel Magic on you as well (putting another spell on cooldown for a single hit/down, lowering his efficiency). Make your other magic item one of the ones that allows you to see the Dispel Magic sphere and potentially allow you to dodge the very slow spell, and you can completely screw a Vecna using the Ring of Telekinesis if he overcommits to you.
That ring addon is his worst addon lol. It literally hurts him. If the survivor predictions he going to raise the pallet all they have to do is step in to the pallet bodyblocking it and drop it again before vecna has the ability to swing. I done that sooooooo many Vecnas already and the ring just makes it safer to do for survivors because they can drop it sooner.
I was playing DBD yesterday and me and my cousin were playing online survivor and we were on the new DND map and if you have played the map you know about the Portals and me and my cousin tried to go through the Portal at the same time on accident and it kicked me out of the animation and the sent me cousin though the wall for the rest of the game and the best part was he ended up being the last survivor and the death slinger just sat there staring at a wall for like 3 minutes until the entity killed my cousin

My favorite Vecna build so far is: franklins, hoarder, weave attunement, overwhelming presence and bag of holding + robe of eyes for add-ons. Someone called it the minefield of aura reading build. Its so fun and theres really not much if any counterplay
I like to think that the entity is the one blinding and stunning killers, not the actual flashlights and pallets, the entity feeds of fear and other emotions so survivors stunning and blidning even someone as powerful as vecna or pinhead gives them an emboldened feeling. And keeping them alive longer gives more time to be scared.
Man spooky, last summer I watched like all ur vids all ur streams twice and once I stopped I literally didn’t know who to watch that’s how entertaining u are bro so keep doing what you’re doing love ur vids man
23:55 imagine they made a new version of pallets. Tilted/leaning (normal pallets) then ones that just fall flat, and the killer could walk over it (if not stunned). Say god pallets for instance.
Weave Attunment and Franklin’s Demise work well together. I also throw in Overwhelming Presence and Hoarder too. Absolutely slays on small, two story maps. Works well with Vecna but i think Pyramid Head and The Artist would do great too.
A couple Flight of the Damned tips for you aspiring Archliches out there: - Use upward slopes to position yourself slightly below the survivors before firing if possible- it removes their ability to crouch to avoid the ghouls. Likewise, avoid trying to hit people downhill, they might not have to do anything. This is obviously quite map dependent, but try to chase people up stairs. - The ghouls' active hit frames come out very fast. At close range, over pallets and relatively thin walls, you can position the ghouls to immediately spawn in and hit a survivor, provided they don't pre-crouch. Given how fast it is, it catches a lot of people by surprise and gets some very easy health states! The issue is getting used to the slight distance in front of you where the ghouls initially spawn, which isn't very clearly labeled in the UI. Spooky demonstrated using it for zoning and slowing survivors by making them crouch, which is also useful. Also: breaking LoS with the survivor might help, but it makes a very distinct sound, so barring the direct hit strategy, survivors will probably crouch on reaction to the sound of the spell and still dodge.

Honestly am new to this channel but I first got introduced to spookyloopz when chucky came out and watch him demonstrate his perks and add ons and offerings and I just wanted to say I love your videos all straight forward videos no issues of understanding at thank u so much
the reason why vecna can be inconvenienced by wooden palettes and flashlights despite demonstrating the ability to stop the entity from taking him with his spells is, once again, the entity nerfing him to oblivion he also has a seal behind his neck - according to the dbd wiki, this seal (mark of negation) not only limits vecna's powers, it also prevents him from leaving the realm, meaning that he's stuck in here and any knowledge he gains will be kept within the realm and even if he does somehow remove the seal and tries to leave, the entity will take notice and do something about it
I mean, if you're undead and have an open ribcage, and decide to bind your personal spellbook so it fit perfectly within your ribcage, what is a more secure and convenient place to keep your spellbook?
Currently there's a bug, where if Vecna uses mage hand, but then gets stunned, the mage hand will still happen, and Vecna gets a free hit. They're changing that. Next patch, if you get stunned while mage hand is casting, then it will cancel the spell. So long as you either cast mage hand before the pallet, or after your stun, then it'll be fine.
@@celinagarza8001 Ok that's fine I was worried for a second lol they also need to fix how it works when survivors interact with it. I grabbed it during a survivors mid vault. To me that shouldn't work either after the animation and stuff it's fine Thanks for telling me
i kinda forget the perk names now, but id really love to see if there is any viability with the myers perk uh dying light i think it was the perk where only the obsession gets a bonus to heal and unhook speed and everyone else loses that same amount, paired with um make your choice and the ghost face perk where when the obs is hooked the savior becomes the obs..there was one more perk i thought would be good, in some way friends till the end is helpful and hurtful to the build..i think it was grim embrace tbh just played well with the rotation of hooks so hook the obs, then proxy to return when saved for the make your choice, and the whole time the obs should be on hook taking 25% healing from everyone...then grim embrace to lock off gens and steamroll the game
Peanits ( a dev from bhvr ) mentioned on the forums that mage hand and enduring is currently not working as it was intended. Meaning if you get stunned before mage hand gets cast then mage hand will cancel. Right now people are casting it right before they get stunned so they walk through the pallet essentially
"Hey, here's a situation for you: if you're up against a Gen Rush SWF that's focused solely on Gen rushing, you need to choose 4 perks for the match that can prevent them from doing gens or regress their progress as much as possible. Which 4 Gen regress perks would you use? And remember, the perks shouldn't interfere with each other. For example, if you have Hex: Ruin, then Pop Goes the Weasel is useless as long as the totem is up. So, they shouldn't overlap like that. The perks should work in combination, for example, Pop Goes the Weasel with Call of Brine. What would those 4 perk combinations be?"

(no legit if I had a nickel for everything I said 'fuck mystra' I woukd have two nickels, that's not a lot but it's weird it happened twice, the first was because my cleric told Mystra she wasnt going to tell her where an item was and mystra made it to where she couldnt talk at all....and the second time was Gale in Baldurs Gate 3)
To make vecna more evil, you should've had a mori or more mist
Im glad to see you can still enjoy playing the game and not be angry with it since you left the Fog Whisperer program. I think its not even worth it to be in the program and it would be funner to just enjoy the game and say what you want without worrying about making the company angry. Cheers!
That ring add on is FILTHY. I know it's gonna get nerfed but god I love it
It’s so nutty 😭😭 but yeah it needs a nerf LOL
This has been said before…
That ring addon is his worst addon lol.
I love using his new crow ability with the old noise notification crows. It helps alot with finding survivors whoever is last
As someone who's been playing D&D for YEARS seeing Vecna show up was unexpected but absolutely amazing
Spooky my guy you should start a tips N Tricks series. They way your able to in detail describe the situations and your awareness of the setting is just phenomenal. much love man keep it up! 🔥💯
My favorite Vecna build so far is: franklins, hoarder, weave attunement, overwhelming presence and bag of holding + robe of eyes for add-ons. Someone called it the minefield of aura reading build. Its so fun and theres really not much if any counterplay
The couterplay is to just ignore items
15:55 ~ "COME CHASE ME, VECNA"
That tree pallet is the stuff of legend. I would have let that player out as repayment for the laugh from seeing that glitch in action.
I haven't lost a game as Vecna yet. I've played around 15-20 games since his release. Favorite killer release since Wesker
20:22
Wait that voice line… Is Vecna aware he is being played as a character and breaking the fourth wall? xD
Weave Attunment and Franklin’s Demise work well together. I also throw in Overwhelming Presence and Hoarder too. Absolutely slays on small, two story maps. Works well with Vecna but i think Pyramid Head and The Artist would do great too.
Vecna may be the reason why I come back. Love dnd and love the versatility this man's packin
I called this from the first hour of release, Ring of Telekinesis is RIDICULOUSLY POWERFUL with the basekit 0.5 second pallet lift time.
A couple Flight of the Damned tips for you aspiring Archliches out there:
- Use upward slopes to position yourself slightly below the survivors before firing if possible- it removes their ability to crouch to avoid the ghouls.
Vecna is so fun and unique. I was very excited to see you play his release version. Great video, Spooky!
This build works way too well man sheesh, I love it
Tell me why spooky talking about the Vecna stats from DND sounded like an Eminem rap
can i just say just started the video ran an almost identical build, but vecna can cook even with out perks or add ons, its wild how diverse the spells are.
Spooky starts rapping like Eminem at 0:31
I love that in the time you managed to squeeze out this great video, the ring add-on was already nerfed.
OMG I SAW THAT PALLET THIS MORNING AND IT WOULDN’T LET ME DROP IT!!! 19:12
Honestly am new to this channel but I first got introduced to spookyloopz when chucky came out and watch him demonstrate his perks and add ons and offerings and I just wanted to say I love your videos all straight forward videos no issues of understanding at thank u so much
I’ve been having a blast messing around with this character, would love to see some more build ideas down the road!
The pure evil series fills the void monto left in my heart. Ty spookyloops.
15:08 what’s happening with enduring in the next coming weeks?
Some people pointed out that there's a red mark on Vecna's back that the entity put there to nerf him, so he's not as powerful.
the reason why vecna can be inconvenienced by wooden palettes and flashlights despite demonstrating the ability to stop the entity from taking him with his spells is, once again, the entity nerfing him to oblivion
he also has a seal behind his neck - according to the dbd wiki, this seal (mark of negation) not only limits vecna's powers, it also prevents him from leaving the realm, meaning that he's stuck in here and any knowledge he gains will be kept within the realm
and even if he does somehow remove the seal and tries to leave, the entity will take notice and do something about it
Thank you for introducing me to hubris + enduring vecna, I will use this to great effect :)
Perfect timing, just got my food
Poor silly Dwight on Lary's, he had no clue what's going on 😢
watching as you explained his background of dnd lore was quite funny +2 but then a +3 xD had me in stitches
that pally at the end, strongest pally in the game. calling it!
Did he just pull the book out of his chest?
I mean, if you're undead and have an open ribcage, and decide to bind your personal spellbook so it fit perfectly within your ribcage, what is a more secure and convenient place to keep your spellbook?
@@Aftershk Hey if you can't die what better place to store it if you no longer need OrGanS
He modeled his ribs to hold the book so yes
Man I love this dude I kinda wish he would do a nemesis build
Can't wait for Anti-chest build as Vecna
Damage immunity: Bludgeoning.
Condition immunity: Paralyzed/stunned.
DBD pallet: I'm about to laugh at this whole man's career.
Hubris and Mage hand is so sick because it means that your main resource for activating hubris doesn’t run out
Bro that pallet at 19:20 is wild 💀 i died stunning the killer on it 😂
Will there be a V3 vault Myers video? That Dark arrogance really cooks when vaulting, despite the drawback
Spooky can you elaborate on what they will do to enduring?
Currently there's a bug, where if Vecna uses mage hand, but then gets stunned, the mage hand will still happen, and Vecna gets a free hit. They're changing that. Next patch, if you get stunned while mage hand is casting, then it will cancel the spell. So long as you either cast mage hand before the pallet, or after your stun, then it'll be fine.
@@celinagarza8001
Ok that's fine I was worried for a second lol they also need to fix how it works when survivors interact with it. I grabbed it during a survivors mid vault. To me that shouldn't work either after the animation and stuff it's fine
Thanks for telling me
Holy CRAP, that lunge distance with Coup on Vecna is borderline criminal. My jaw dropped
i kinda forget the perk names now, but id really love to see if there is any viability with the myers perk uh dying light i think it was
the perk where only the obsession gets a bonus to heal and unhook speed and everyone else loses that same amount, paired with um make your choice and the ghost face perk where when the obs is hooked the savior becomes the obs..there was one more perk i thought would be good, in some way friends till the end is helpful and hurtful to the build..i think it was grim embrace tbh just played well with the rotation of hooks
so hook the obs, then proxy to return when saved for the make your choice, and the whole time the obs should be on hook taking 25% healing from everyone...then grim embrace to lock off gens and steamroll the game
Whats happening with enduring. You said we should look out for it but what does that intell about what will happen to the perk.
What would those 4 perk combinations be?"
personally I've been using jolt, thrilling tremors, lethal persuer and superior anatomy on ghostface. no addons and either survivor pudding or one of the hatch offerings if I bring offerings at all. i play on mobile though so PC players can probably make a better loadout.
@@greysonalex na bro, I want full slot to be gen regression or stopping perks.
@@silent.killer.6007 I only have eruption otherwise for gen slowing and it feels a bit of a waste for ghostface. I down people so quickly I can't really get a good chain of eruptions going.
@@greysonalex nice even I wanted to try, but am from ban region 🥲, can't buy auric cells also🥲
That first down play was absolutely nuts 😳
And this is where people say "the games killer sided" or "killer needs nerf" but in reality this is just a good player who knows their maps and what their doing, great gameplay keep it up ❤
Even spookyloopz says the game is killer sided though… cause it is.
As a D&D nerd, I find it hilarious that his best spell in DBD, mage hand, is as beginner as a spell can be in wizardry.
But considering the devs had to implement a LITERAL GOD into a game where he stands side-by-side with "guy with knife" characters, I think he was very well implemented.
23:58 I was confused when I saw it in my match too, but I didn't actually drop it ahah
I love vecna, his spells are so useful, but so far I have not gotten any usage out of mage hand so I'm glad spooky knows a trick for that
24:00 best part of the whole video lmao!
I play dnd a lot myself and seeing this new chapter has made me very happy
1:05 look i understood people being ignorant about the pronunciation of coup de grace when it released but brother its been liked years, it bothers me, is it just a meme in the community or what? (dont take this as hate i love you but omg please its not grass its GRAA Coo Day Graa)
i then felt odd about being so insistant on this and proceeded to google the pronunciation, i apologise for my blasphemy, it is indeed graace, i have been living a lie
Tip for vecna: when there is elevatuon use flight of the dammed to get a guaranteed hit.
Definitely not guaranteed
I can give a build for Vecna, Hex: plaything, Hex: pentimento, Hex: thrill of the hunt, and Hex: face the darkness. This is an impossible totem build and Survivors that can't get rid of their plaything have to power through the game with plaything and face the darkness. Making it extremely difficult for survivors to do objectives. I hope to see a video of this build :)
Vecna is my favorite killer his anti loop game is so good. I love playing against him too I’ve made some CLUTCH plays with the hand of Vecna. Love the D and D chapter so much fun
Vecna is the most fun killer to go against imo. Every game with him with me as Surv has been a blast!
your reactions to the pallets were so real bc what the actual flip 😂
That mage hand is too OP
vecna in the realm be like:i will be so powerful i will 4k at 5 gens and be stronger than the nurse!Oh fuck this spider left me with my 4 weakest spells.
Seeing how the vecna plays... i think when the Dr. Shocks a player and they drop play pallets or interactions should come with a a shock and stun like a pallet drop on a survivor
I absolutely love the editing in the intro (I’m typing this as I watch)
I Hope that Behaviour will get some licence from Midway to use Quan Chi as skin for Vecna. It would be amazing.
Stray Pallet is my new favourite mechanic!
Seems like he didnt found that window on Borgo yet
The Outro sound instrumental 🔥
Who wouldve thought Vecna's weakness would be wooden pallets
Every time you said "mage hand" for some reason I kept hearing it like it was "May Chan" like its an anime name or something LOL, I had to go back and see what "May Chan" is since I was just listening to the video mostly while I was playing something else myself.
Why did you start sounding like rick samchez from 5:40
Sanchez*
"where is the goth woman" got me and my bro laughing hard 😂
Vecna looks amazing, I'm actually impressed!
Vecna is great for watching
Loved watching you play as him
Spooky! You shoukd try enduring with this build, it's NUTS
Veccna needs one buff and it's for mage hand to block windows by floating infront of it and wagging its finger
