Our dog, Togo, is a funny one! Most of the time he is overjoyed to have his family back, and other times he can give you the cold shoulder on arrival. 😅

I live in the UK and I’ve noticed the same with the spices there - you can barely taste the chili and etc. So I shop at Turkish (or international )supermarkets for spices and it is great. Try them if you have any near you.
Good to know it's not just our taste buds! We try to stock up on familiar 'home flavours' whenever we go to Argentina or Peru. Half the suitcase ends up being spices and sauces! 😅

I totally agree all the herbs and spices here in uk aren’t as good as the places we tend to visit for our holidays so I always get tonnes of stuffs in France 🇫🇷 and Italy 🇮🇹 stocking up when go (cheese and wine) we usually stink out the whole plane|car and Mexico 🇲🇽 of course …. Last time I had 45kg suitcase full of salsas 😂 they laughed and didn’t charge me extra (my suitcase with clothes was only 7 kg I was allowed 2x 23kg) 🙏🏼bless them The day I go to BA I know I need extra baggages and don’t get me started with Peru 🇵🇪 the dream 🥰… by the way I was thinking would have been nice to see more of what they had in the supermarket ( I love grocery shopping wherever I go I feel it gives you a great insight of the location and what makes the locals tick) remember you ve made an episode years ago in Lima strolling in a supermarket it was so interesting to me 😍I felt like being there! Wishing you the best with the home build in Perú, Kathleen! I imagine it's not easy there either. We've just learned to arm ourselves with patience and go with the flow. The whole experience has certainly made us more adaptable.

We have had a project for the last month ourselves. We now have a new Kitten - Katerina Katalova. She was a street kitten whom we saved and have had to get her cleaned up with several visits to the vet already. Since we are not native to Bulgaria we have had to get her a pet passport which the vet puts all of her vaccinations in. If we ever have to leave Bulgaria the passport control will have no problem seeing her passport and papers.

I haven't tried those, so I can't say for sure. But it would be a cookie, not a tart. The cookie texture really varies from one brand to the next - some are soft and buttery and others are more dry and crumbly. What's essential is the dollop of quince jam on top!
