@@CapChronic Well it was concepted in 2011 after all, and hasn’t changed in format since then either. People who like it have always specifically noted how much they enjoy watching it as is, I don’t believe I’ve seen such frequent expressions enjoyment for such a consistent amount of time and it that case why fix what isn’t broken? The viewer retention considering how long the show has been running at this point is really quite remarkable.
@@sega32xxx14 Whoa 2011. If they changed the format they would definitely have had more subs by now. Again not saying its bad but it is dated.

That animation zooming into the Genesis was amazing!
I still think it's the coolest thing I've seen on a retro gaming channel. They really put a lot of effort into the genesis episode
In a later episode Joe acknowledged the creator of the animation, "Yoshi Vu", who they had on the show as a guest a few times.

I binge watch all the Crunch videos it's like a comfort show for me it chills me out while I get to learn about classic games or a laugh or two lol these Joe and Dave are funny
A You Tube creator can only hope to work hard enough to get to Gamesack's level of production quality. Seriously inspirational stuff, man!

I remember when I first got my Genesis, I was completely devastated when I connected it to my parents' old wood cabinet TV. I turned on Sonic the Hedgehog and was welcomed to a bouncing screen. Turned out a modification had to be made to me Genesis to make it work on our old 70's TV set, so it had to be sent back to Sega. It took a month, which was the longest month of my life.
Same thing happened to me but on Christmas morning with the PSX. Had to return it and wait for a different model which still did that then my parents let me have the living room (newer than the one in my room which was an old Zenith and did the jumpy thing) TV and they got a new one. I did play a decent amount of Crash Bandicoot with that unplayable mess though.
My first console was an NES with the mario/duck hunt/track meet cart. It was DOA. Returned it to the local Radio Shack and was given the sports pack with 4 player IR device and super spike vball/NES world cup combo cart. I still play those 2 sports games to this day, even though they are a bit janky.
My Genesis came 2 years later and if you sent in the rebate card, you got sonic 2 for free.

i got a black screen on my first genesis lol, had to return it but they were sold out at my local sears so i had to get a turbo grafx 16
@@RealAlphaDrum Agreed! I used to always go to the Radio Shack around my way. And its crazy if any spot shouldve sold consoles it shouldve been that store.
This entire channel is like a love letter to video games. I cant get enough Game Sack, keep up the good work guys.

About time! I've watched the other Console Crunch episodes about a 1000 times over! They're always in a loop!
This is the first time I've watched one of your amazing episodes in stereo and "holy crap!" is it AWESOME!!! Huge fan of the show and never realized how much time and work was put into the sound alongside the visuals. I encourage EVERYONE to watch in surround or stereo, the opening theme is fantastic, thank YOU for creating GameSack!

Render times may be a pain but know that many subs like myself really appreciate the effort.

Not gonna lie... The boss battle music still gives me goosebumps. Probably one of the most epic boss music in any game. SOR is still a favorite of mine, at 44.

11:23 I love the Alien Solider screen as read by Joe. "Now is the time to the 68000 Heart on Fire" sounds like it was written by some angsty teenager with a crush. The whole screen screams "Buy me I'm a good game trust me!" Wonder if it even got demoed on the sales floors.
the algorithm really seems to love you. no matter what i watch, sooner or later i get a console crunch recommended, and that´s just as it should be and i´m alsways happy to oblige.

My first Gen Sega Genesis still works today. It was the first console I modified, so it could play both North American games and Japanese games.

The diamond dimension system really was a game changer.
I just use an emulator and a Bluetooth controller. I'm a player, not a collector. These videos are great to rehash old games I either forgot about or knew nothing about.

I remember using an Atari joystick on the Sega, didn't work on every game but some did. It had the same plug size.

Love your content, been watching on and off for a few years, i cant remember the year i bought my PS Classic but hearing you buy one from Target for $100 blows my mind, when i was buying the PS Classic it was a joke to practically everyone, i couldnt find it for more than $35-$40, thankfully i bought 2 SNES Classics, 2 NES Classics, 2 PS Classics and 2 GENESIS Classics. I like to have backups in case something happens to my main ones or if i lose one due to damage, theft, or other events. Thank you guys for everything that you do, you guys are amazing and your content is timeless.

There's just something about how he presents the Sega Genesis Mini. I know it's just a review, but all I kept hearing was, "Buy this, buy this *BUY THIS!!!*".
