- Testing how dynamic the Getgood Drums One Kit Wonder Architects library is. I will be testing the velocities from the softest to the hardest, snare rolls, tom rolls, cymbal swells, hi-hat articulations and so on.

I will be posting a review with comparisons and demos in the upcoming week! Stay tuned :)
Cant wait dude!
Dude WTF!! You make perfect testings out of every plugin!
Thank you! Glad you think so ☺️
@@JamesZhan what are your thoughts on it against other drum libraries?
Im so gonna smash this on my E-kit! THANK YOU!
nice test sir!
Hey man that dynamic range is crazy ! Sounds great
I love these videos ! Cam't wait for the review. As everyone said, I'd like to see you do the same on Mixwave kits
I'm looking for a highly processed kit to play with my e kit, because love big sounding drums as a metalcore lover, and Mixwave seems to be my best bet so far, especially that Gorija kit
Glad you liked the video! The MixWave drums are definitely on my radar.
James, is MixWave on your radar? They have 2 really cool kits out right now and their most recent release is easily the most mix ready drum plugin that I have personally ever heard. GGD was always my go to, but it seems like the OKW kits are starting to sound way too much alike. MixWave is a breath of fresh air. Check it out if you haven't already!
MixWave is definitely on my radar. I've just been hesitant to support their products for personal reasons; I've also been quite swamped in my studio nowadays so I'm slower in reviewing new stuff!
Don't waste your time with more kontakt drum libraries, if you really want realistic programmed drums get superior drummer 3 and the death and darkness expansion, those sound like real drums, all of these kontakt libraries sound so generic and plastic in comparison, and don't get me wrong I'm a big nolly fan, I've even bought oversized cali the second it was released (best mesa IRs ever) but when it comes to drum libraries, toontrack's stuff is on a whole different level, listen to the latest tasseract album to hear what I mean, i'm not a fan of their music, but damn those drums sound good, and they were played using and e-kit with SD3 and the aforementioned expansion.
@@GreatBurningNullifier Is there any video of them using D and D on Portals?
Yeah, i bought the gojira kit and It sounds so good, that's out of the box. I bought the Architects too, but i feel like needs some work to make It sound good.
@@matthewmessner1105 I think portals is a live album, I was referring to their latest studio album, the one with that song juno, the drums on that one are the death and darkness sdx played with an e-kit. There’s a nail the mix session for that song too if I’m not wrong
Thanks for making this. I only wish you showed how the ride sounds crashed
Great point. Some of the other OKW libraries don’t have a crash option for the ride, which I wrongly assumed is the case with this one.
Hi James do you have a full mix of the Kit. Also what Software would I need to use this with. Trying to see if it will work with EZ Drummer or another Drum Sampler. Great review!
Thanks for the video! Not really impressed about round robin of the snare (still sound a little bit robotic) but of course it is an amazing sounding kit.
Thanks very much for this video ! It made me decide to buy it!
Do you plan to review the MixWave libraries (especially the last one from Gojira)?
Glad you liked the video! And yes the MixWave libraries are on my radar for sure :) These days I've pretty swamped with studio work so I've gotten a bit slower when it comes to reviewing
I can’t imagine what the one thumbs down was over. Sad they didn’t get such a sick library on sale?
Maybe it's because I mislabeled the china and the mini china 😂
Can you route the drums to individual tracks with this one?
Yes!
What Reaper setting is that to provide the color coding on your midi velocities? That's awesome.
it's standard nowadays, at least I haven't turned anything on and I do have color coding on my velocities
Right click on the empty area above the piano roll, View -> Color notes by -> Velocity
@@JamesZhan It's weird - mine just give different shades of green.....
Hey man. Great video. The timestamps for the china and mini-china are reversed!
Thank you! Just corrected it :)
Hi James, could you share your MIDI velocity test file? =)
Damn
Honestly I don't feel like I need any other metal drum libraries after Toontrack's Death and Darkness. Don't get me wrong I would still buy this because 1. Clients will request it 2. It sounds good, but I haven't heard anything that even comes close to Death and Darkness SDX in terms of realism, options and dynamics.
Nothing comes close to SD libraries when it comes to realism and the quality of sampling, but for musicians who are just looking for mix-ready drums for making demos, the OKW series libraries are pretty apt!
Do you have that piano roll note name file available for download anywhere by chance?
That note name file is customized to my own mappings so I don't think it will be helpful to ya.
THERS NO DYN, LIKE SUPERIOR DRUMMER, THERS JUST VOLUME INCREASE! pity
