Big thanks to the guys from GGD for letting me try this out. Super stoked that it's this easy to have great sounding drums for any project. Are you gonna try it out?
you should tell Nolly and Matt i just bought it because of your demo... get that referral money! :D It's cool to see they came out with something more simple! Invasion sounds great but it's a pain to route to separate channels!
@@apoplexiamusic I use reaper and it took me forever to figure out how to route everything from the p4 kit. Might should pre pack them with routed templates for noobs so they're more plug and play.

@@KeyanHoushmandLive is it a typo, or doesn strandberg actually have that typo in their name here? not trying to be a dick, i just really want you to have a chance to get one.
I just got into the world of recording and I purchased this as a cheap but quality way to get into midi drums for recording... I still have to figure out how to get Cubase to see the plug in haha.
Awesome YT channel, Awesome SONG ! Just would like your PRO input on why you chose Fruity Loops over REAPER, Ad.Audition, Protools, and A. LIVE DAWs ? People say it runs any 3rd party plugins flawlessly !! Oh, which Computer platform are you using ? MAC OS or INTEL PC ? Thank you in advanced !
For djenty stuff how does this compare to modern and massive and p4? Is this good enough for heavier music? Also what the heck is that awesome song that’s playing while you’re talking? Just upload your songs to Spotify already hahahaha
I like this one because it suits my workflow. For djent stuff with more articulations and the able to control more of the mix yourself, you can’t go wrong with the P4 kit. P.S. Thanks! I’ve always got the eventual Spotify on my mind. One day!
I actually find the opposite to be true. I haven't tried this one tho, I can only speak for invasion and M&M! They both take a bit of work in my opinion
The question is what you want BEFORE your process of getting samples to fit in your mix. So, I find Superior Drummer 3 the best software for that. I worked in a studio and with all the routing and super expansive preamps you will get what super skilled engineers will have done in supreme rooms. It is what they did for decades, period. Drums depend on a lot of audio engineering factors. That is mics, drums, tuned and harmonic drums being played the way it should be played for your genre, drums being recorded supreme with supreme preamps and mics in a room that is treated well. That said... you do not want preprocessed drums at all if you want to have control of your mix. If you want to songwrite and have a cool drum sound this is a bargain. Go for it! It is like ez drummer. If you want the best engineers in some of the best rooms with the best preamps and mics get superiour drummer 3 or slate drums. SD3 has the option to exchange audio and midi in a supreme way. That is why I am digging it and it is just worth the money. If you want to write music this is great! If you want to resample your drummers detuned drums get SD3!
Nice sounding demo! Question on your demo song did you do any additional processing? Such as eq/comp? I remember hearing you said it got you 95% of the way there and i know its common to do some small tweaks. Thank you
I've been thinking about buying one of their libraries for like 2 weeks now, but I just can't decide between P4, Fusion, or just waiting for another similar One Kit Wonder iteration aimed more towards metal (In which case, I might have to wait quite a while). Having to EQ/compress drums doesn't bother me and I tend to go for it regardless. If you had to start from scratch with your GGD collection and wanted a kit mainly for metal stuff like Periphery/Within The Ruins what option would you choose in my spot? Would you use this kit over the P4 for djent at this point?
If you’re a stickler like me and always want the best of the best/most suitable option, it sounds like you want the P4 kit. It sounds like you want all the bells and whistles and the ability to do it yourself, which is great!
What are you using for the Plini-inspired synthesizer harmony thing? I've always wondered if that was a guitar-to-synth plugin and triggering a soft synth on a duplicate track?
You are awesome man . I have a question. I use fl studio 20 and GGD , do you program all your midi in drums in FL studio , do you have drum mapping with the names in the keymap? if so , how?!! or do you use an external program ? :D thanks dude im really struggling. any help would be great or pointers to the right direction. respect . tasteful playing bro .
Hi Keyan! Great stuff as always. Had a question - do you know if One Kit Wonder or any other GGD plugin have a "find groove" option? So if I have a groove in my head, I can somehow punch it in and it gives me back groove and fill suggestions based on the input ?
I downloaded the modern and massive pack from another website and it is a folder in which there are subfolders named as instruments snapshots etc. When I load the instrument in Kontakt it loads but does not make any sound...Is there way I can manually load the samples in modern and massive?
Do you guys think GGD will work for pop punk style music as well? I make multiple genres from djent to pop punk to indie, and am looking for a single drum program with tons of versatility that can work for almost any style. What would people recommend to encompass a vast array of genres well?
Hey. Thanks again for another demo. Just a quick question. Are you able to easily adjust the mappings so the GGD kit works against SD3 midi packs. I have a heaps of songs I've written but want to try out the GGD kits but will take a long time to program the drum midi. I've read its simple as GGD has provided an option to just select SD3 mappings but wanted to confirm if this is the case or not?
Hey great explanation Keyan :) Normally I use modern and massive also with their groove packs but when I load up One Kit Wonder i cant find the purchased groove packs anymore. Are they only for modern and massive ?
No, this is not that good virtual instrument. It uses Native Kontakt Player 6 which is glithcing great amounts. All the samples sound terrible you need external plugins to make them sound alive etc Wavesfactory Snare Buzz and SK10 ( real toms dont sound like rubberbands ). ITS CHEAP and with cheap you get cheap sounds. Of course for bedroom player/producer this can be the choice but id save some money and buy Superior Drummer 3. Besides this eats more CPU power than my old trusty Superior Drummer 2 which is way better sounding.
Keyan lookin like he's about to sell me the next iphone

After some time using GGD, which do you find yourself using more, Modern fusion or Architects?
I use superior drummer, is that enough for good sound? Using the Metal Foundry sound library.
Superior drummer is designed to mix it your self. When you want instant good sound out of the box the ggd stuff or ez drummer should fit better

Fuzz pedal, your favorite ampsim on crunch mode, moderately short reverb, and delay is my guess
