  • Quick and easy comparison of the three One Kit Wonder drum libraries from GGD
    - Zero drum processing (Out of the box drum tones)
    - Limiting and Compression on my master chain (to get more volume)
    My personal favorite is OKW: Metal
    Let me know what your favorite One Kit Wonder library is in the comments!

    Love how the Toms sound on the Fusion Kit, but Im getting Cymbal PTSD just from listening

    • @AAllinsonNN
      @AAllinsonNN Год назад

      Yess... that's my exact thing too... the toms sound better on fusion, the aggressive rock sounds the least basic, but the metal kit has a great space between the lows and mids - and the china is top rate!

    Very cool comparison man! I'm currently using Invasion for all of my productions and song writing! I really would like to get the OKW Metal Kit. What are you honest thoughts and opinions on it?

    • @alexmurphy7812
      @alexmurphy7812  3 года назад +5

      Hey! Thanks for checking out the video. One Kit Wonder: Metal is a stellar library for ease of use, light on CPU, and simply just fantastic for writing and demoing (i would even use it on a final product). Invasion is a powerhouse of a library. So much more variety, drums, and cymbals. Invasion is also much more taxing on CPU. OKW: Metal is defiently a library that i would highly recommend (especially at its cost). In my opinion it all comes down to what you are looking for from the library, and what your intentions are (demos, final products). Invasion is a more raw library that would be more fitting for a final product, or if youre looking for alot of options (drums, cymbals). OKW: Metal is perfect if youre demoing, and writing, or even just looking for a fast and quick experience. I would highly recommend OKW: Metal✌✌

      @@alexmurphy7812 Hell yeah man! Thanks for the honest reply! I'm gonna pick it up and try it out! I may even layer the snare with the one I'm currently using in Invasion! I'm using the Brady Tasmanian snare and the Yamaha kick! I bet the OKW Metal Kit would blend nice with those 2 samples! However I may just try it as is and see how it sounds! What is the velocity range your programmed your drums at? Especially the snare and kick.

    • @alexmurphy7812
      @alexmurphy7812  3 года назад +4

      @@jairocerritos3213 the brady tasmanian snare and yamaha kick in Invasion are killer! Blending the snares sounds like a great idea, im defiently going to try that myself. In the comparison im only using GGD groove packs (Matt Halpern Grooves 2, Anup Sastry pack, and the Alex Rudinger pack). I didnt adjust any of the velocitys in the grooves. OKW: Metal has abit more velocity layers than Invasion (especially in the cymbals).

    • @alexmurphy7812
      @alexmurphy7812  2 года назад

      Hey, thanks for the checking out the video! No processing on the drums at all! I have some basic limiting and compression on the master to get a bit more volume, but that’s it✌️

    what presets did you use? just the main one that loads up when you open the library?

    • @alexmurphy7812
      @alexmurphy7812  3 года назад +5

      Thanks for checking out the video! All the presets are the default ones that you load up when you open the library. I didnt make any level changes other then turning down the snare reverb in "OKW: Metal" other than that everything is completely stock.
