Can you put in the info about the solo of muscle museum? At the rehearsal matt begins the solo and Fs it up immediately so he continues to sing it. On the album recording he sings the solo in a microphone trough a Marshall amp so that's how they created the unique sound. I always like that story

'the muse' refers to when muse went to " a quelli che il calcio" on Italian TV and exchanged musical instruments. For an Italian muser like me this video is wonderful. I managed to remember all the levels of the iceberg. I'm glad you included hate this and i ll love you, one of my favorite but unfortunately little known songs.🔥

I'd personally put Showbiz down a tier. I feel like some casual fans don't even know that album exists and although it got most of its success in the UK, Feeling Good (which is in tier 2) is more well-known over here than pretty much the whole of Showbiz

2012 Olympics - their live performance from the opening ceremony was cut from the US audience for commercials. There was like 20 performers and literally Muse was the only one cut for commercials. I am still upset at NBC over this. I sat through that whole thing waiting for them.
The fishing trip was part of the Hullabaloo bonus documentary!
10:27 - about Dom's fashion. It also had an appearance on The Resistance tour - I think there were several gigs, in which Dom dressed up weird or unusual. The other thing is that in one making of video (I guess Neutron Star Collision) he also has a costume, an unusual costume.

Matt's speech impediment is called "rhoticism" (trouble with the R sound, particularly after a consonant). He can nail R's okay some of the time or when he slows down - but he rarely slows down (he just is one of those people who thinks too fast for speech) 🤣 and he has particular trouble with R's immediately after other consonants, such as "pr" and "tr"

Saw them live in Fort Worth. They sounded EXACTLY like the record. Absolutely awesome show
the fishing trip was part of the hullabaloo 2nd DVD which ccontains all sorts of behind the scenes from the tour and covvershoot (i think this was a special edition)
the "sit the eff down" thing was also part of that DVD
also, the hullabaloo soundtrack is not just edits, they are all the b-sides from the origin singles (plugin baby alone contains 5 additional tracks which are all on the sountrack)
Matt is just plumping out and filling his skin, stretching those gaunt lines to a rosy roundness/smoothness. 😊

Clarification. In an interview, Matt said that it was for his ex and was never intended to be used for the Twilight movies. It just sounded appropriate for the movie.
I think "the muse" maybe also came from a show they did in, I think Austin, that was end of the Absolution tour dvd. I'm pretty sure they were introduced as the muse and the song was Fury, it's been about 15 years since I watched it so might be wrong! I also remember Matt talking about how it was "proper fucking rock and roll" haha
There should be on the lowest tier the PMT thead on Muse forum which sadly is inactive for some years now, but back in 2010 was booming with ladies literally posting pictures of our boys and well, they mostly included their crotch regions xD It was interesting part of the forum back in a day, I'm kinda happy I was still be able to be part of it xD.
BellDom - ship between MattxDom mostly just describing their bromance. These two are very close friends and often their interactions during interveiws included long stares at each other and weird comments from Matt, so it just happened. But they are totally hilarious and it's just a joke. Also what adds to it "Suspecting Dom to be gay" as Dom was the last one of them to get a girlfriend and his fashion sense is quite original, let's say it, because our guy loves skinny jeans and panter-dot shirts xD.

I have a fun obscure one for the iceberg. Did you know that there exists an extended outro version of Bliss? The version on the album, even the rerelease, fades out at the end. It is extremely obscure, but it was distributed to radiostations waaayyy back in the day.

About the guitar smashing record...
That was proven to be false; Matt never smashed 140 guitars during that tour. However, the myth was so widespread even Guinness World Records were fooled for a while.
Love the list, but do feel like it's missing a proper Level 1. As far as the general audience goes, people might know Starlight, or Uprising, or have heard the Feeling Good cover, but I would've put Showbiz and even Knights as a deeper cut. Origin of Symmetry again is sadly less well known than it ought to be.

5:22 I once posted on the Radiohead subreddit asking for album recommendations given that I'm a fan of Origin of Symmetry. Almost every comment said that Origin of Symmetry was a straight copy (some even said rip-off) of OKC so I should just start there.
I've listened to OKC many times since then and I still don't know where the comparisons come from.

um, Survival was not written to inspire people to win (9:00). It's written from the POV of an illuminati monster (Matt's words, not mine), who is a sociopath, who wants to prevail at any cost. It was super ironic and even more ironic and funny that it was used as an official olympics song. Many Muse songs are written from the point of view of a character who is not necessarily a good person, so the lyrics are often ironic and not meant to be taken at face value.
oh, and Rocket Baby Dolls was a hentai porno they saw as teens. They decided to name their band after it for a while.

My Favorite Album's. The Resistance, Drones, Simulation Theory. Drones has something special to me. Whole the album has a great atmosphere.
I am still a big fan of Origin Of Symmetry too. Micro Cuts came in the spot to me these days. This album is very talented. As Absolution is too.
Black Holes And Revelation's is very energetic to me. If You think about how great the last Album's where' Simulation Theory and Will Of The People. I am a fan of Matt his Beautiful singed song's. This remind's me to U2. As I find Megalomania is great to listen again too. Thanks for this video. It's amazing

Not a great iceberg when large parts of it are just standard album releases and tracks from those releases. No mention of World War Z, Matt's solo career overlap, ST video chronology, "Will of the Sheeple", the Exogenesis Pt 4 joke etc. Your analysis missed that the Rocket Baby Dolls battle of the bands (at Teignmouth High) plays out in the video for Pressure and that "sit the f**k down" is referenced in the YMMFLIH video. Most surprisingly, you don't get what "The Muse" is referring to? It's literally what every single song is about - The Anima. You've been missing out on what any of the lyrics really mean without knowing that. Propaganda is on there because it's the entire meaning of the Simulation Theory album - layers of propaganda like being in stacked virtual worlds, hence the can of Propaganda causing the issues in the video for Pressure.

daanngg I'm at level 6 although I know the fishing trip on level 7 but that's just it. I haven't followed muse closely after The Resistance album bcos i have other interests. In fact their albums after that doesn't click with me. anyway I remember watching those stuff back in the day when I started listening to them around 2009/2010 which happens to be The Resistance era. I'm biased but that was the best album 😇
Sadly they are more of a niche band or crowd for them in certain areas for people covering them. Mostly people know them from what songs are on Twilight movies
