23:00 I figure someone's already shared this, and I find it hard to imagine I know something about Pokemon you don't, but just in case... The trick to the slots I've found is to time it. You can actually see the 7's go by, so just make sure you get a rhythm going before you hit A. Sometimes, and randomly, the game won't allow a triple 7 even with perfect timing, but you'll hit the jackpot often enough to for a solid profit. I've saved up several thousand coins from just 50 using this method on the slots in Gen 3.

Thank you for making all these cool videos in this “impossible” series, I really like them. You should totally buy some copies of the games you run and trade your challenge run Pokémon to as a sort of hall of fame kind of thing where you can save them.
i remember when i was a kid it taking annoyingly long to find just a few ralts so i could pick my favorite, or with the right ability or something i dont really remember. I can imagine scaling that up to the amount you had to find, and i can only conclude that you are a madman
I... I actually didn't think it was possible. I've seen a couple people tackle this on other games, and they all gave up and used items immediately. You're a champion. Truly the hero we don't deserve.
This was awesome! I love all the little fishie pokemon, so seeing some more challenges with them is always exciting. I also adore the longer videos, especially since you explain your thought process and how you felt during. It's almost like we get to experience it in some way, too! And I agree with other people -- you have an awesome voice. Expressive, calming, and entertaining! Honestly, the way you narrate your videos feels really casual, sort of like talking to a friend. Personally, I can't watch videos that have a formal sounding voice, because it feels way too serious, almost like I'm in a business meeting or something. News talk show hosts are the only thing I can think of as an example atm, lol
I really like runs with items, especially x items and the strategy they introduce to these kind of runs. Itemless runs are challenging, sure but I dont think they are the most fun to play or watch imo
Not even halfway into the video and I have to say that you are one of the most dedicated "Pokémoner" (if that's a term) out there. The way you manage to sneak past a tough situation really amazes me. Subbed

I love the Norman AI. Once his second Slaking knocked out my entire team but I happened to have a freshly revived Cradily with me... It did like 1HP per attack but since Norman used nothing but Focus Punch I was able to eke out a victory!
Your challenge videos are so much more fun to watch than the rest of the youtubers! The way you explain every single detail and all the why's and how's are really interesting! ^^
Gotta love how in the same week two people actually posted a feebas challenge (the other one on emerald though). Considering the amount of work in playing and editing it's definitely a coincidence but for sure a fun one, haha :P Feebas on diamond when /s
Love the video so entertaining to watch, I have a video suggestion. Can you make a tier list/a top 10 of the easiest of these pokemon challenges to the hardest that you've done?
Personally, I think item runs are far more interesting, especially the way you do your videos. Because, yeah, the dirty *secret* to the itemless challenge runs is "Just level the fuck up. Honestly, being able to use items in battle, while making a challenge out of it, is great, because... using items in battle is .. kind of rare. Seriously, I'll go through most Pokemon games and just never use stuff like XAttack, etc. Usually it's also easy enough to avoid bothering to using potions in battle because ... hey, that uses up a turn. But when all the strategy has to go into it, using items, makes it far more interesting, as you're lower level, and there's more challenge as things go on. Still a good video, but don't abandon using items in battle entirely, because it's more interesting than itemless.
Tyrogue vs Emerald would be really hard. Also I love how instead of just getting all the friendship berries and then training special attack EVs when it's easier, like a sane person, you KOd 96 Ralts. It's so good. That's why this is my favorite video of yours :)
23:20 wow you don't use pick up regularly?!?! Every playthrough of RSE I do has my team as my starter and 5 zigzagoons, slowly and reluctantly replacing them as I play through because they pick up some amazing things. Doesn't work in FRLG, Meowth has pick up, but it only picks up berries....which is useful in its own right since you can't grow berries in these versions, but not nearly as valuable as PP Ups, nuggets, hidden power TM, potions, full restores and everything else that Pick up gets in RSE.
I honestly preferred when you used items. I loved your magikarp video, because it had such a good strategy with the X-items. I’ve never used them in game and was impressed with how useful they can be. Most no item challenge videos are just, grind to high enough level, spam strongest move. It’s pronounced Cray-dily This was still an amazing video.
I like you jrose because your videos aren’t just 20 minute round ups. I love your vids because they are 1 hour adventures like this. This is amazing and your previous videos like this are amazing. Your adventure is a story to us and that’s what we love about you jrose ;)
Here's why it would have been easier to have done this challenge in Emerald instead of Ruby. Hear me out: starting from Emerald, some of the berries that previously do nothing but raise Contest stats were changed to reduce 10 EVs in a particular stat and increase Friendship (e.g. Pomeg berry = -10 HP EVs). After farming a handful of berries you could feed them to Feebas and then EV-train its Special Attack against the 70% Spinda and Speed against all the Zubats/Magikarp of Hoenn. Yes, I am aware than Seedot has only a 1% encounter rate in Emerald's Route 102 (as opposed to 20% in Ruby) and Emerald is overal a more difficult game than Ruby and Sapphire but that's much less time spent Splashing against defenseless Seedot than targetting 4% Ralts.
I disagree PURELY because Tate & Liza would have 4 pokemon instead of 2. They’re already hard in this video, but they would be absolutely ABSURD in emerald

You are the king 🤴
Come back and take your throne.
what you mean come back
Right before the pandemic. I wish I had discovered your channel then. In any case, I have watched most of your videos. 🔥🔥🔥
First Magikarp, then Feebas... You are too good, congrats!
Hi robles
Hi robles
Man you're content is honestly at the quality level of people who have millions of subscribers, but I guess when you do Pokemon content you expect smaller fanbases. Either way, keep up the good work.
Tiger474 it’s the problem people watch but don’t subscribe 😔
I think one problem is that his videos are kind of long winded and tedious. I find it quite relaxing but the average viewer wouldn't.
Prediction: you totally can
TuxThePenguin he does spoiler
Emily Fravel but he uploaded the video so he obviously did
@@gabrieldabriel He also uploaded his 'Can you beat Pokemon Red and Blue with only a Magikarp'-Vid and that challenge ended in failure
Solution: But dont.just dont.
13:09 "I don't mean to stretch out the video"
BRUH. ITS ALREADY A HOUR
This is awesome! I really hope this does become a series.
Also this video does show the difference items make. I say go ahead use them. I mean your the first person to ever manage to show guard specs usefulness.
When will we get another “catch em all”? I MISS THOSE VIDEOS!!!!!
Soonish. I really wanna do the Yellow Run, then another couple challenges.
YES! I kinda thought you'd given up on them, cause I'm sure they take A MILLION YEARS TO MAKE and I value your time and sanity, even though it seems that sometimes you don't 😬
That said, IM SO HYPE FOR ANOTHER ONE!!!! 😍😍😍
@@Jrose11 Gen 5!
Glad to see you around! I clicked in your video and went to finish a project. While doing my project I thought "wow I've been listening for a while now how long is this video?" Was not disapointed. Thank you for you effort!
I love how he checked whether Feebas could learn Bulk Up he'd just recieved
"Challenges that are super tedious" Yep, that fits the description alright. Great video, I sure wouldn't have the patience to do a Feebas only run.
I've never clicked on a video faster in my life
Rolando Garcia Jr. LOL SAMMMEEEEEEEE
Thank you for making all these cool videos in this “impossible” series, I really like them. You should totally buy some copies of the games you run and trade your challenge run Pokémon to as a sort of hall of fame kind of thing where you can save them.
Imagine if all the npcs could talk.
Whose that random feebas trainer
They can though
i remember when i was a kid it taking annoyingly long to find just a few ralts so i could pick my favorite, or with the right ability or something i dont really remember. I can imagine scaling that up to the amount you had to find, and i can only conclude that you are a madman
I hope we get to see Yellow: min battles!
The min:battles is more interesting to be because it feels like more of an optimization challenge.
I... I actually didn't think it was possible. I've seen a couple people tackle this on other games, and they all gave up and used items immediately. You're a champion. Truly the hero we don't deserve.
Beldum in the future?
Damn that sounds painful
I would say, Impossible. Absolutely. You are gonna be in hell all the way through.
On the upside, Beldum is just 1/4 of a Metagross, so it must be good!!
(That was a joke.)
That steven RNG strat was probably one of the best things i've ever seen done in a pokemon game. Thankyou for this lmao
“No one else has the patience to do” Mah Dry Bread: *Finally, a worthy opponent. Our battle will be legendary*
Subbed
The word is Pokétuber. But yes. He is.
Jrose needs more views. Love his runs the most.
Given that JRose has revisited some of his classic impossible challenges so seeing this in Emerald will be a joy to behold.
Legit I watched the other Feebas challenge today then this gets dropped, today is Feebas day for me apparently
I only recently discovered your channel and I love listening to these challenges while at work. Sounds absolutely brutal getting those Ralts’ just for EV. Thanks for such awesome content!
what a coincidence i just started playing omega ruby for the first time, spent over an hour trying to find a ralts lol
It's pretty rare, yeah. Were you using DexNav?
So this run is actually cannon?
I really like these long runs! I'm always happy if your videos are longer than 60 minutes - like this one 😄
Great work as always please keep it up ❤
Gotta love how in the same week two people actually posted a feebas challenge (the other one on emerald though). Considering the amount of work in playing and editing it's definitely a coincidence but for sure a fun one, haha :P
Feebas on diamond when /s
Out of all the RUclipsrs that do these types of challenges, you have consistently been my absolute favorite! Bravo!
Love the video so entertaining to watch, I have a video suggestion. Can you make a tier list/a top 10 of the easiest of these pokemon challenges to the hardest that you've done?
This is such a great idea. I love it how you keep on making these games more and more challenging.
Nice Feebas 👀
As long as your videos are, it baffles me how quickly times goes by listening to them. Cool stuff, bro
You do realize that this is Ruby, and those berries don't actually have that effect until Emerald
Not the challenge we wanted
But the challenge we needed
This run is really fun and your personal style and approach is so different and fun to watch, love you Jrose
"..or any other series i've forgotten about"
yeah, the kakuna ratata run
Coming back to this gem. Had in my to watch list for a long time.
Live your vids Jrose!
6:12 Jrose: “Roxanne-...” Me:”GODDAMN - ALL SHE WANNA DO IS PARTY ALL NIGHT” 😂
"Obviously I still have a lot to learn"
-The gym leader who just lost to someone brute forcing a level 30 struggling fish
After the Ralts part came up I had to rewind just to fully take in how much of a mad man you are. Jrose never change
I honestly preferred when you used items. I loved your magikarp video, because it had such a good strategy with the X-items. I’ve never used them in game and was impressed with how useful they can be. Most no item challenge videos are just, grind to high enough level, spam strongest move.
It’s pronounced Cray-dily
This was still an amazing video.
Or he could have just grinded only on Pokemon that would never max out all 252 EVs.
I disagree PURELY because Tate & Liza would have 4 pokemon instead of 2. They’re already hard in this video, but they would be absolutely ABSURD in emerald
No other content creator has as much dedication as you. We really need to appreciate the tremendous amount of work and quality you put in these videos. Love your videos, you're my Favourite RUclipsr.
Even in casual play I would catch 5 Zigzagoons and carry them around dropping one at a time as I added pokemon to my team but kept collecting them pickups so many extra rare candies and money
Imagine being challenged by your son to a pokemon battle, the only pokemon he has is feebas, and the feebas wins. I'd have mixed feelings after that.
