I'm excited to have my first Ranchu. It's not exactly the way I was expecting, but seeing this little guy in with larger Koi made me want to get him into a tank with other "fancy" goldfish who swim slower. Look forward to seeing "Scooter" get bigger and take on his final color and shape.

Very Cute little guy. Of all the fancy goldfish types, I really like Ryukins. All very friendly fish.

+colinbarsby Ryukins are very cool. But like you said, almost all fancy goldfish are very friendly and have tons of personality

He sure is! Still a little cutie. Finally was able to find some other Ranchu locally about 1 week ago. Working on a video for that.

Neat fish ! , my goldfish (Pet feeder fish ) enjoy 70°F water and are growing and having a great time . I was looking at a 100 gallon stock tank , and pond filter for them .

Very nice. The stock tanks are wonderful for Goldfish. This poor little guy didn’t make it. He was doing great, but I tried to add him in with other Ranchu I had purchased and quarantined for a month and he was dead the next day. Have no idea what happened.

Creative Fish Studio I had small black colored (Goldfish feeder ) die off a day after I bought it. The fish was in my tank awaiting outside pond life but sadly died.

Scooter is so cute! I bet he is big now! I just got three ranchu from East Coast Ranchu, check her out! She does live RUclips videos every day of those she is selling. Goodluck!

I’ve seen her stuff it’s amazing. I sadly lost everything in that tank. I not sure if someone accidentally got chemicals on my cleaning brushes or other my water change buckets, but I was pretty upset to have them all die within a few days of each other. It was the last tank I was keeping after downsizing due to work travel. That space is now for my son’s turtle and the only fish I keep are in the pond.

I'll have to make one soon. He's still very small, but his tank has a lot of mates right now while the stock tank fish are in for the winter. Next winter I plan to move a stock tank into the garage...but right now a cat cage is taking up the space while it recovers from an absess.

Petco has them. Are they hard to care fore?

Very similar to goldfish. Frequent water changes because they can be dirty...but overall daily easy. The hard part is making sure they don’t come with something. Goldfish can get swim bladder issues and pine cone as well. So some can live long and be hardy and other times one can get something that knocks out an entire tank.
