    • @DEXTER-TV-series
      @DEXTER-TV-series 11 месяцев назад +6

      💣 Father has very few small fish per gallon in the tank, "hungry fish = healthy fish", few small fish that are fed little and rarely produces little waste, "nitrates and algae are not a problem", "nitrates harm the fish if they are above 500".
      💣 Kevin Novak wants a lot of big fish per gallon, "I want to feed the fish a lot every day several times a day", this produces a lot of waste, "nitrate levels are very low in nature", "plants don't need a lot of nitrogen", "I don't want algae ".
      As a result, we have the following.
      💣 Few hungry fish per gallon, a little waste, a ton of plants, nitrate 400 (FOUR HUNDRED), relatively a lot of algae - Father makes videos "My successful aquariums", "You shouldn't do water changes", "Algae is your beast?", "Nitrate is not an issue", "300 aquariums 8 years - 0 maintenance!", water changes - once every six months.
      💣Lots of fish per gallon, lots of food lots of waste, few plants, nitrate 40 (FORTY), my tank has a little algae - Kevin Novak makes a video "This Tank Fails, I Reset It!"
      Thus, *Father's successful aquarium and Kevin Novak's successful aquarium are completely different things!!!*
      Please note: Father does not test the water for nitrate, this is not an issue for him! Try to find at least one video of him measuring nitrate levels! In contrast, you will find a bunch of videos in which Kevin Novak makes and shows the nitrate level: *he wants it to be zero, like in nature! Kevin Novak strives to have nitrate levels in the aquarium similar to those found in nature! And Father has nitrate levels up to 500 (FIVE HUNDRED) and talks about a "natural aquarium".*

    this is a very well made in depth video explaining the true success and beauty that comes with a natural freshwater aquarium, keep up the good work of sharing your knowledge to inexperienced aquatic animal keepers, we need to keep pushing out the information so we will have less rainbow gravel plastic plant glass boxes that kill fish and cause people to give up when they have been mislead into believing thats the way to do it.

    I got two tiny glass vases on our dinning table (probably 5L water each), have many plants and 2-3 guppys, shrimps and snells in each. No water change, just pour more water if the water level is low (probably once after two months), no filter, no CO2...etc. When I built them, I aimed for a setup as simple as possible to reduce maintaince time. They have been running well for already two years.

    • @ducdinh2040
      @ducdinh2040 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@jamesbond4349 As mentioned above, my setups are very very simple. They include 5L vase with small (cheap) gravels, different types of plants (Vallisneria, bucephalandra, anubias, mosses, duck weed, bugle and mermaid weeds, ...). All are small enough to fit inside those vases, but not too dense so i still can see some gaps in between them. It took about one month to stabilize the water. During that time, I change water probably once a week. When plants are all good and started to have new roots and leaves (especially the weeds, as they only develop well inside clean water), I slowly put in some snells, then schrimps, and finally fishes. Schrimps like the weeds, they need clean water to be alive... To clean to gravels and glass I aslo have Malaysian Trumpet and Nerita snails. About light, just a 5W white LED is enough, that is set to automatically switch on/off from 8 AM to 9 PM. So, yeah, very simple and cheap setups, but work well (as I aimed for) and take me very little time to maintain.

Растения типа кустарников выкопал в саду, корни в грунте, сами растения на верху, и ещё купил плавающих на поверхности растений, аквариуму второй месяц, рыб не перекармливаю, воду только доливал, не разу не каких тестов не делал. А грунт набрал у нас на море. Рыбки радуют от воды приятный запах) и это мой первый аквариум в жизни.

    any tip if I have an empty tank set up and can only plant lightly (due to income and availability)? It is a 40G dirted tank with sand cap. I haven’t even added the water yet😊 I’ll have a 20G sponge filter running as it cycles. I dont have lighting yet. I do get a decent amount of indirect sunlight. I don’t have a lid for the aquarium yet. I thought I’d make something but I wanna be able to have room for plants in the top. I don’t know.. I have never ever done this before and I have never kept fish before lol. I’d like to get a light and do the siesta method where it’s like five hours on a few hours off and five hours on again.

    • @papascrumpeeh
      @papascrumpeeh 9 месяцев назад +2

      if you decide to have the aquarium without a lid be careful of the fish u put in as some will often jump out , on the light department it really depends what plants are u planning to put in , in my experience at least a strong light is the most important for the plants to thrive but of course I also got to look at the power consumption if you want a light that has less strength and consumption then you should make sure the plants you get do well in low light environments something like anubias for example , besides the sponge filter a filter that does not consume power are your plants soo having the tank heavily planted will do wonders to ur fish , and do not add too many fish at once go slow add em' gradually soo you don't get ammonia spikes especially at early stages after cycling the tank.
      Father Fish has a LOT of great tips and advice/tutorials on how to start such tank , check him out if u haven't already :p
      Good luck and have fun!

    Why the yellowish tone is prevailing across the aquarium ?
    Is it just because of normal lighting ?
    Because most of the commercial aquariums display stunning colours. Just asking out of curiosity.
