McCants hasn't watched the Knicks...ever. The Knicks DO NOT get favoritism. Jalen Brunson gets mauled and doesn't get calls. Embid flops and jumps into people and gets calls. Maxey gets calls. Even any talk of the Knicks fouling Maxey ignores the fact that Maxey got open via a blatant pushoff against Hart. He was open for the inbound off an offensive foul. Refs simply let both teams play and the Knicks made more pays late.
The Sixers didn’t execute down the stretch and it cost them
So much crying from the Sixers. They got about the same amount of foul calls and FT’s as the Knicks. The shit evened out. Embiid fouled a lot of people and caught breaks. FOH. The problem with Philly is their bench sucks! Maxey and One Knee Embiid are carrying the team. Knicks got more players that can score. They’re lucky that Jalen hasn’t utilized drawing them out more.
Embiid is hurt, and that's unfortunate but the second best player on the Knicks which is Julius Randle, is out.

Philly executed in the fourth quarter. They went from being down eight points with 7:35 left in the game, to being up 5 with 30 seconds left, with several clutch shots from their role players. It was the final possessions of the game that they choked it away.
This is why I say philly is overmatched. They were down in the 4th for 2 straight games now to one of the best closing teams in the NBA. and although made a comeback, next time they'll probably get blown out. Coming back all the time is unsustainable.

@10:30 McCants tried to reiterate that Philly is not getting calls right after Gil pointed out that free throws are equal.
The foul on lowry was overturned and should have been a foul with obvious contact. It also took away 2 points from OG due to them calling the foul. That specific sequence gave Philly the ball due to it being challenged. It initially sparked the late run that put Philly up by 5? So that could be a reason the refs let them play the last 28 seconds out.
Maybe.. but for Christ sake it’s the playoffs, they shouldn’t have called the divincenzo foul in the first place, let them play like they did at the end.

That's a text-book Flagrant 2, automatic ejection and suspension. Embiid also hit Hartenstein in the nuts. Sent him to the floor. I hate the rule that allows the coaches to call the timeout, let's go back the old way and only the player calling the timeout instead. Refs can't look at the players and the coaches at the same time in crucial moments.
Just pull up the game stats. We only had two more rebounds than Philly. Defensive rebounds were tied, and we were 2+ on offensive rebounds.

He's not been given a lot to work with. They were all in on Embiid and he can barely jump. Melton being gone really hurts, Hield and Payne stink, and Harris is doing his normal disappearing act in the playoffs. If RoCo was younger maybe he'd be useful but he's old as hell. Oubre is one of the streakiest dudes offensively in the league, but at least his defensive effort is very solid.
You know whats funny? The way the Knicks are playing they been playing like this all year and as good as we are this year we only would get 2 to 3 min segments when media talks about us. No one watched us pretty much all season besides JJ, Tim Legler and Kendrick Perkins. The league's "last two minute report" says that both Brunson and then Hart committed fouls on Maxey on the inbound and just after, and that Nick Nurse during the inbound sequence attempted to call a time but it is not recognized. Knicks got some game-changing favors, and the league admitted it today.
Last two minutes isn’t the entire game. Embiid was making moving screens all game and not being called.
Those are fouls but you don’t call them because it’s the playoffs. Just because it says so in a report, doesn’t mean you call them. Playoffs is a different game, you don’t call every foul, it’s more physical
