  • Charles Barkley Wants LeBron James To Retire Soon So He's Not Michael Jordan On The Wizards
"I hope he retires while he can still play. I've been there myself. I saw Patrick Ewing on his last legs. Saw Michael Jordan playing with the Wizards. That's the greatest player I played against, I don't want to see him doing that with the Wizards."

Lebron has become a liability in spite of his stats. KD is starting to look better as a sixth man. Westbrook is washed. CP should’ve retired years ago tbh. Lowry is stealing money these days. Kawhi has spent most of the past five seasons injured. It’s a changing of the guard, time for these guys to bow out gracefully for the sake of the game.

I just find it funny how Jordan fans seem to give him all the benefit of the doubt on things like that but literally turn right around and crucify Lebron for doing the same thing.

Exactly. Compared to 90's Jordan obviously he had lost a step and couldn't elevate anymore. But Jordan was averaging 25 6 and 5 until he got injured. And he got really injured. Not "I was basically playing with a broken hand" after dunking all game injured.
Up until the All Star Break there were 2 players averaging 25 5 and 5. Jordan and Kobe.
Kobe ended the season with 25 5.5 and 5.5 on 47% from the floor.
In Jordan's last 10 games before the injury he was averaging 29.7 6.6 and 6.1 on 47% from the floor.
When LeBron came into the league he averaged 21 5.5 and 6 on 42% from the floor.

Across those 46 games he had 25 6 and 5.
Kobe ended the season with 25 5.5 and 5.5. Shooting 47% from the floor.
It's such a shame Jordan got injured when he did. He would have carried that 19 win Wizards team to the 5th or even the 4th seed and shut all the haters up.
But now the clowns can point at his numbers, leave out the context of him getting injured, missing a dozen games and playing the last part of the season on restricted minutes and say "See, Jordan was a bum at 40!"
They often don't even know Jordan was right up there with the best up until the All Star Break because they've only ever heard Nick Wrong talk about it and have never seen any basketball game before 2015.

Retirement regardless of profession is ALWAYS tough. I remember making that decision because I knew I had at least ONE year or ONE deployment left in while I was in the United States Army. But after thinking about it, I’m glad when I did retire when I did. I was in great shape, still running circles around younger soldiers but you never want to embarrass yourself.

I'm glad Charles Barkley is speaking 🗣️ facts about Micheal Jordan and Kobe Bryant. SMH can't stand LeBron fanboys acting like they never seen Kobe Bryant play. And other greats like Kareem Abdul Jabar Magic Johnson and Tim Duncan and Bill Russell.

Ur only looking at the points. In his age 38-39 season alone yes he averaged 23 ppg BUT he averaged 23 ppg on 22 shots per game (that’s bad) and while shooting 41% from the field (that’s bad) He LITERALLY had ZERO impact on the court with a 0.3 plus minus AND 0.3 net rating (that’s VERY bad) and his defensive rating ranked 359 of 440 players (bottom 19% of the league defensively, that’s VERY VERY bad)

@@adh2298 Please explain to me how he had no impact when he took the team that had the worst record in the league previously to the fifth seed in the Eastern conference finals and was actually 6 in NBA and MVP voting before he injured his knee? You talking about 41% shooting for 39 year old coming back from 3 year retirement playing back into shape on a rib injury while also not explaining FG% at that time was at a all time low. Go look at AI, Kobe, T Mac, Carter numbers then come back here.

The problem it’s when people put things out of context and don’t put things in perspective.
    1. The league on the 80s and 90s were based on physicality. Prayer didn’t last that long.
    2. New roles are made to protect the investment of advertisers and team investment.
    3. The offense it’s now spread out because of the three points shot, and benefits the mead range players due to the lack of big players.
    4. When Shanon saids that Jordan took a break, his it’s not understanding that changing a sport to adapt to another it’s more difficult than continuing with your own. Coming back from playing a total different sport and in just a year and half break the all time winning record! And tree picking for the second time. achieving what even today has never done twice like hem.
